Damian's Point Of View:

“Hazel?" I whispered again before getting off Sophia, wearing my trousers then moving closer to Hazel.

“Don't come near me….” Hazel whispered, raising her hands as if it would protect herself from me.

I took a step closer to her.

“Don't…” She whispered again, her voice breaking and I couldn't help but halt, I didn't want to hurt her more.

It wasn't the voice breaking that made me think I was hurting her but her heart.

Though I couldn't see her heart, if her voice was breaking like this then what about her heart? Would it even still be beating?

I turned, moving further into the room to put fire in the lamps one by one until the room was brightly lit.

I turned to Hazel again. Tears were streaming down her face like a waterfall and I was hurting more.
