Ethan’s POV:
As much as I was barely suppressing my vicious urge to twist his dirty hand with which he dared to grope my ass, shuffling my glare at his nasty smug face I gritted, “What the fuck…are you doing?”
“I am just trying to be a bit familiar with you. It’s uncommon to find such a cute pretty boy like you here. You seem like a newbie at Bordwell University, right?”
Without showing any minimal shame, that bastard groped my butt cheek a little hard this time, giving it a little squeeze, “I had my eyes following you since the moment I saw you here today, boy. It was a perfect chance to approach you when I saw you alone at the bar counter. Besides, you are perfectly my type.”
While growing up in my small hometown, I had a vague idea of the kinds of perverts existing in this world, but this baldie bastard even topped them all!
What kind of a vulgar pervert does someone have to be to approach a perfectly manly guy like me, and even call me cute? How dare he!?
Strangely I observed the bartender had noticed this bastard molesting me, but he turned his gaze away in an act as if he didn’t see anything at all.
Realizing I was all alone here to save my dignity, I grabbed the glass of whiskey with my shivering hands that he placed before me on the table and intended to splash it on that pervert’s face before beating him to a pulp.
But before resorting to violence, I tossed an angry sneer at him to give my first and last warning, “Sir, get your hands off me, right now. Can’t you see, I am a fuckin’ man? Keep your vulgar compliments to yourself, I find them disgusting!”
“Ohh, haha…I especially have a particular infatuation towards furious kittens like you.” But instead of taking my warning seriously, that pervert leaned a little close to me before he whispered cryptically in my ears.
“I am the second largest shareholder of this hotel, so…don’t worry about money. I can give you anything you desire in the world, and don’t be mistaken, I am not seeking you for just one night. Since you have caught my liking, how about becoming my sugar baby?”
I was almost about to splash the whiskey on his face, but his words froze me for a second.
Indeed from his flashy appearance outfit and jewelry, I had assumed this pervert to be some kind of bigshot, but I didn’t imagine he would turn out as one of the highest shareholders of this magnificent hotel! If I beat the crap out of him just as I want, I was sure, he would definitely sue me with defamation charges…and there’s no way, I would be able to pay any crazy thick sum as compensation.
As much as I was angry and disgusted by his touch, my own helpless background frustrated me the most when I had to accept I was in no position in life to pick a fight with a billionaire.
Thus, gritting my jaws, I clenched my fist tight, praying for some miracle to save me from that suffocating situation.
As if my prayers were quickly answered, my miracle approached in the form of a giant majestic shadow looming from behind who yanked that bastard’s hand away from my butt.
With a flinch, when I turned around, I saw it was Zeus, holding a death glare in his scary eyes towards that baldie pervert! Clenching his hand by his wrist, Zeus made him quiver in pain from the sudden strong yank, as if his shoulder was a little dislocated!
“Ugh, uh…my hand, ouch! Who’re you—”
“He’s not someone you can casually touch.”
Adding to my surprise as I couldn’t stop staring at him, Zeus protruded his glaring eyes walking close to that pervert, sounding very ominous from his tone. Squeezing his wrist within his tight grasp, I saw him curve a wicked sneer at him when he further grunted, “If you’re in dire need of company, how about leaving the party with me? With me rest assured, you will have such a terrific night that you won’t forget for the rest of your life!”
I gulped anxiously just watching the scary darkness prominent in his eyes, but I could imagine how badly Zeus must have scared that man with his menacing growl. As he forcibly drew his arm from his grasp, I saw his wrist had formed a big red bruise, giving me the idea of how tightly Zeus must have clenched his arm to make it hurt!
“F-Fuckin’ psycho! What an eyesore to ruin my good time…there’s no way I would ever prefer a scary hound like you!”
Cussing at Zeus, that old pervert almost rushed away from there as if his pride couldn’t bear getting humiliated before me by such a majestic man like Zeus, who stood firmly in front of me, guarding me like a shield. Now I noticed that the leather jacket he was putting on had a big ‘golden wolf-head’ design embroidered with gold on the broad back, making it seem like a custom-made jacket for him.
The picture of that wolf-head was quite scary to look at, with red big eyes as if they were gawking directly at me! I had never seen anyone wear a leather jacket with such an odd design, which made me wonder if it was one of his fashion preferences.
I huffed a big sigh of relief after a few seconds of anticipating silence that persisted between us. Finally, I lifted my ocean eyes to look at Zeus’s face who was still making sure if that pervert had left the hall or not.
Despite I considered him a rude unlucky jerk, Zeus indeed stepped up like a true hero and saved me from the harassment. His action now gave me a brief idea of why the girls on the campus were crazy about him…because at that moment, even in my eyes he seemed like a true knight in his shining armor.
“T-Thank you…” I squeezed my words out to initiate a first cordial conversation between us, moving a little closer to him. “I am truly thankful that you saved me—”
“Did I interrupt a good time here?”
“Huh?” But before I could finish my sentence, his irked taunt flinched me a little as Zeus finally turned around, meeting his scary dark eyes with me.
With a solemn look on his handsome face, Zeus narrowed his dark eyes on me before his lips curved into an angry sneer, “That pervert had been groping you for a while but instead of punching on his face, you were seated quietly as if you were fine with that! So, I am curious, were you actually enjoying it when the pervert groped your butt?”
“W-What the fuck are you talking about!?” The minimal hope of having a cordial conversation with him dissipated the second I heard him labeling me with such a disgusting accusation. Glowering my eyes, I loudly opposed, “How can you even think I was enjoying that bastard harassing me?”
“Because your actions said so.” I saw the sneer widen on his jaws when he sounded quite agitated from his tone, charging at me further, “I was already aware of your perverted tendencies when you bumped into me while ogling at girls and then couldn’t keep your eyes off me either when I was asleep next to you.
“So, maybe…you actually enjoyed it when that old baldie groped you, didn’t you? Isn’t that why you were oddly silent instead of protesting? Be honest, if you’re upset that I chased him away, how about I call him back and book a room for you two tonight—”
“WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU, ZEUS BLACKWELL?”
Unable to keep my patience and temper in check anymore after hearing such disgusting allegations coming from Zeus whom I had considered as my knight just a moment ago.
I rushed closer and grabbed him by his collar while swirling my furious eyes at him as I grumbled aloud, “How dare you accuse me of such filthy allegations? You be honest with me now, you’re doing this intentionally, don’t you? You are the one who’s provoking me since morning so, tell me, what is your fuckin’ problem with me??”
Author's Note: Please keep showing your love and support with the comments and reviews...I will be always in dire need of it.
Ethan's POV:> “Oh my! Look the newbie is picking a fight with Zeus!” > “What is wrong with him? Does he think he can stand against Zeus’s robust strength?”The moment I rushed up to Zeus and grabbed him by his collar I could hear those intense whispers among the crowd which was watching us eagerly. While I was furious by his insulting remark, that jerk appeared strangely calm while facing me, without showing any sign of discontent as I had lowkey expected him to throw his hands first at me since I had dared to grab the ‘Dark Prince’ by his collar in front of all his admirers. But as if to add gasoline to my rage, I saw the smug widen on his lips when he snorted, “You’re the one who forcibly sat on my desk when I had told you to go away, remember? Besides, this is the kind of reaction you should’ve shown to that man, but instead when I pointed out the truth, you’re getting angry with me?” “Truth? Do you really think I enjoyed him groping me? Are you really fuckin’ crazy!?” His humili
Ethan’s POV:This peculiar coincidence startled me a bit since I didn’t expect the girl who had caught my interest here to be the first to approach me at the party. Despite getting a little flustered by Hermes’s tease, I didn’t turn her invitation down, as I was in dire need of something to distract me from all the chaos going on inside my head. Soon when Hermes left leaving me with Lena, I sat along with her on the velvet couch which was located on the opposite corner of the hall room. While I could feel a nervousness budding in between us now that we both were alone, Lena cordially initiated a conversation first, “Ethan, I hope I didn’t make you uncomfortable by asking for some spare time, right?” “O-Oh, of course not!” Quickly shaking my head in denial, when I responded to her, she seemed quite pleased with my answer, grinning broadly. “You must be wondering among all these students here at the party, why did I approach you here, right?” Her next question also winced me a little
Ethan's POV:BA-DUMP! THUMP! THUMP!While the sound of my erratically fast pounding heart echoed vibrantly in my ears as I entered the forest, I could feel dreadful shivers crawling down my spine. The moonlit had started to lessen drastically as I entered deeper into the woods, and I also witnessed a foggy haze covering the giant trees around me mysteriously which projected an uncanny aura about that forest! Apart from the sound of my rushing footsteps crushing the dried eucalyptus leaves, I could only hear the faint sound of small insects like crickets, apart from that…there was a complete silence around me as if I had walked into a forbidden territory! After I had entered quite deeper inside the woods, I halted my footsteps, gazing deliberately around me only to realize that all the ways ahead of me looked the exact same, and I couldn’t find the way either through which I entered the forest. Thus, it would be safe to mention I was lowkey lost and stuck in the middle of that cursed
Ethan's POV:All of a sudden, I saw that the vast area was fogged with mist, and slowly, a massive giant figure looming in the dark approached me in slow, steady steps. It didn’t seem like a human, but a creature who was approximately double in height than me, with huge broad shoulders! I couldn’t see his face, but his eyes seemed abnormally scary, making my blood run cold! I saw his eyes glowing red like a beast, protruding a fierce gaze towards me, but his pupils had shrunk to make it look like a pair of wolf eyes! My body was frozen in fear but I saw that cryptic figure march towards me slowly as the fog started to clear up on its own. With a faint trace of moonlit falling on his arms, I saw it was twice as big as the typical normal human size, covered with thick pitch-black fur. Most importantly that bloody red flame which I had mistaken as a wildfire was radiating all around his big arms, as if that creature was carrying a ball of fire in his arms! The moment he walked a littl
Ethan’s POV:A Supreme…Alpha Werewolf? It’s not like I wasn’t aware of these mythical beasts who were once considered among the greatest supernatural beings to exist in ancient times, trampling over the powerless human society. But as our world evolved into modernization, gradually the debate about the existence of these phenomenal creatures around us was denied to the extent they were only considered as a myth. But all these theories could never stop my strange curiosity that grew towards werewolves since I was in elementary school. Often when I was small, I would have nightmares of scary dark creatures chasing after me through a thick eerie forest through which I ran aimlessly fast to save my life, and that would result in me awakening with cold sweat. But as I gradually grew older, I began to realize through countless documentaries and fantasy movies that those creatures whom I dreamt of chasing after me were known as ‘werewolves’, predatory ruthless monsters who once used to con
Ethan’s POV:“You never fail to amaze me with your quirks…Ethan Marley.” After Zeus was done laughing at me up to his heart’s content, his deep murmur winced me a little as I didn’t fail to catch the hint of sarcasm from his tone. When I averted my frowned gaze up at him, his cold dark eyes were already glued on me shimmered in the dark when he curved a small smug at me, “You really assumed that…I have been doing all these to steal liver from humans? Seriously? You labeled a Supreme Alpha like me the same as a puny organ smuggler!? This is the worst accusation I have been ever charged with in my whole life!” Even though Zeus retained a smug face, the offense from his tone made me a little worried, as I was truly being cautious not to irk his temper at that moment when I was already on the verge of life and death. With a gulp, I pursed my lips while mumbling at him, “So…y-you…don’t crave for livers?” “Of course not!” He scowled at me, sounding pretty annoyed from his tone while ma
Zeus’s POV:…They were the last words I heard from someone who meant the whole world to me. She wasn’t worthless… in fact, she was my everything. But I didn’t ever get the chance to say it to her. My heart had died on that day when I lost her in the cruel hands of fate, but my body kept on living…probably because I was still bound to her by the promise she had made to me while breathing her last breath. I was bound to wait for her…eternally if it takes…After two centuries, I stopped counting the years with the dim ray of hope that gradually faded inside my cold heart. On that snowy cold winter, I had held Sophia’s blood-soaked body in my arms for the very last time and cried my eyes out, with that gut-wrenching pain forming a knot deep inside my chest. Thus, every year during
Zeus’s POV: For the past two years on this campus, I never bothered to show any interest towards the newbies who were selected from the entrance exams, since I was aware only the children from well-off families would bribe for their seats and later onwards, their families would go boasting around everywhere about their capable children who had enrolled in the prestigious Bordwell University. After spending such a long time amidst humans, I was very well aware of their selfish and greedy nature, and thus, it made my blood hunt easier on every full moon night, which I later onwards reduced to once every two months.Since the laws in this world were starting to get on my nerves, I tended to be careful before but to be on the safe side, I always changed place every decade and would never settle in one place, just like I was supposed to leave this Luminapost town after 10 years of residing here. I never wanted to leave any attachment behind once I was done and that’s why, I never bothere
Zeus’s POV:Honestly, I struggled to suppress my chuckle from blurting out while Ethan held such a worrisome face, but it was absolutely endearing to me to observe him. I retained a calm gesture while meeting his round, ocean eyes that were fixated on me before I charged back, “I don’t know what you must have been thinking inside that round, pretty head of yours, but I do not have any immoral relationship with Anna. “To be precise, she is dear to me as my own sibling, even though we do not share the same blood. That’s why, in the past whenever I was injured a few times, Anna has always helped with taking showers and even devoted herself solely to take care of me—”“But that was before when I came in the picture!” Before I could finish, Ethan’s sulky murmur paused my words for a second as I curiously tilted my head while trying to observe him. His facial appearance looked fidgety and fiddling with his fingertips, he seemed oddly on edge while answering me, “I mean…I wasn’t doubting y
Zeus’s POV:For the very first time in my long, bleak life in this human world that felt like a never-ending darkness, Ethan’s words felt like the gush of warm rain after a long, cold winter to my heart, giving me the momentary bliss I must have sought inside me unknowingly after all this time. Having my hands soaked from the blood of countless human sinners, being forced against my will by my cruel fate to consume their blood and flesh so that I would keep going through this goddamn painful life…for the first time I felt quite emotional. I flinched a little hard to realize how I was so moved by those gentle appreciative words that Ethan spoke for me. But while staring into his tender ocean eyes, which were glistening from tears, it came along with the realization that maybe all this time, I just truly wanted someone to see me through my core, along with all those scars I had carefully suppressed within my heart until now. After going through this never-ending phase of darkness in t
Zeus’s POV:Blinking his lashes at me a few times, I saw a flustered hue tainting Ethan’s puffy cheeks, and from his facial expression, it was easy to define that he must’ve been really pleased with my answer. His ocean eyes were glimmering in bliss, and I saw him struggling to hide his jovial expression from me beneath a straight face, but undoubtedly, his efforts made me appear adorable in my eyes. Indeed, before I had realized it, I had already put my faith in a human who had witnessed my cursed dark secret with his own eyes. Honestly, it was something that I had never imagined feeling towards anyone else in this human realm. The possibility of him exposing my dark secret to others on the campus indeed crossed my mind a few times. But every time my gaze met those tender, glistening ocean eyes smiling at me, unknowingly, I kept reminding myself that if I gathered my courage to trust this person…he would never betray me. Isn’t it funny that before I knew, you had already become my
Zeus’s POV:No matter how much I tried to get an answer to those dubious questions that had bothered my peace of mind since the first day I crossed paths with Ethan, I never obtained one, leaving me perplexed as always. Since the first day I laid my eyes on this beautiful boy on that snowy Christmas Eve night, despite repeating it to myself countless times, I couldn’t stop myself from being drawn towards him. The iron walls I had spent years building around my heart had lowered around him already, which I had never vowed to do for a human who wasn’t Sophia. And for a man…it was completely out of question! But…what the hell is wrong with me? Why did I become so maddeningly protective to the extent that I almost tried to kill my own pack members, fearing they might try to inflict any harm on Ethan? I know since I had never formed a divine pact with anyone before, not even with Sophia…I wasn’t aware of the consequences when I suddenly kissed Ethan that night, forming the divine pact w
Zeus’s POV:Ethan’s nervous shaky voice left me in disarray for a brief moment. As I stayed numb, I found myself strangely conflicted about answering his plea. His rolled ocean eyes seemed a bit uneasy as if he was quite unsure about the request he made to me out of the blue. But even at that moment, I didn’t overlook the dim ray of hope glistening in those orbs towards me which implied, maybe for a brief moment, he wanted to believe he might succeed in convincing me to follow his lead. But how should I let this innocent naive human have a glimpse of the dark scars of my wretched past I have harbored all this time in my existence? I have already exposed him to the world of dangers since the moment I decided to form a pact with him, which might turn out to be one of my foolish choices. But now…if I disclose all the incorrigible sins I have committed until now, how would I bear it if he turns out to detest me even more? After all this time, I am still confused at the realization…why
Zeus’s POV:When I finished the bowl of meat dumpling soup, sensing Ethan’s pleased gaze glued on my face all this time. The second after I lifted my gaze, bearing a big satisfactory grin, all of a sudden Ethan tenderly wiped the corner of my mouth with the cuff of his shirt, startling me a little as I hadn’t expected his kind gesture right then. When he finished wiping my lips, he took the bowl away from my hands and tossed a soft grin, which reminded me of the gentle spring breeze that holds the power to soothe our hearts after a long, weary day. He broke the amicable silence between us at first, handing me a glass of water, “I hadn’t cooked for someone for a really long time, so I was worried how the soup would turn out to be…whether it would suit your palate. But if you liked it so much, I would prepare it for you often. But you don’t have to eat it like this next time…as if you were starving for days. Or…were you really that hungry after suffering from this injury?” I couldn’t
Zeus’s POV:I was already spacing out momentarily, staring at Ethan’s face shimmering under the morning sunrays as I heard his mumble. For a second, my current scenario felt a little too nostalgic for me, as I immediately recalled whenever I used to be injured in the past, Sophia would wake me up the next morning serving herbal soup that was too bitter to take a sip. No matter how hard I tried to resist her approach, ultimately, I was the one who always surrendered before her. Watching her smile holding endless affection in her gleaming ocean eyes while I drank that awful soup seemed more like an important task to me, as gradually I stopped opposing her at all. Not only the soup, Sophia was terrible at cooking…but I never once wasted a grain of meal she cooked for me, savoring every little taste while I wove the dreams of my happily ever after with my only mate…But now…after a long wait of eternity, I was startled to find myself relieving tha exact moment together with Ethan, who ha
Zeus’s POV:Never had I imagined seeing this day in my life where I would watch Anna finally soften against a human, considering the deep scars she had always harbored inside her cold heart. She was meant to despise humans from her core, and I never questioned her choices since the day she willingly decided to follow me. But after spending quite an amount of time, I have come to realize there is something so enchanting yet painfully innocent about Ethan that forces us cold hearted beasts to come out of the shell and expose our real nature. We couldn’t pretend to hurt him or push him away, and ultimately would end up succumbing to his persistent generosity, which was so different from all the humans I came across here. And that’s exactly how Anna flinched from shock, hearing the mention of an ‘elder sister’ from Ethan’s mouth, which unknowingly spread a flustered hue across her porcelain white cheeks. She fidgeted and even fumbled before speaking, deliberately trying to mask her shy
Zeus’s POV:As expected of Anna’s blunt comment, an impish smirk curved my lips when I realized Anna must have used her super senses to hear what was happening inside this room since I regained my consciousness. It wasn’t unusual for me to apprehend that werewolves tend to use their supersenses in need, and she was born with excellent audible senses which could come great handy in terms of pack wars. Just like her…I also possessed a strong supernatural ability as the Supreme Dominant Alpha, but while living in this human realm, showcasing my ability never felt necessary. And I wasn’t flirting with Ethan, I was rather happy to see him by my side after waking up. I had honestly assumed to wake up in my cold, bleak room, just like how I had woken up when I faced certain attacks like this in the past. But now, starting the day with the first sight of watching him cuddle in my arms like an innocent little lamb, it rather left me brimming with this overwhelming bliss deep inside my hea
