Ethan's POV:
> “Oh my! Look the newbie is picking a fight with Zeus!”
> “What is wrong with him? Does he think he can stand against Zeus’s robust strength?”
The moment I rushed up to Zeus and grabbed him by his collar I could hear those intense whispers among the crowd which was watching us eagerly. While I was furious by his insulting remark, that jerk appeared strangely calm while facing me, without showing any sign of discontent as I had lowkey expected him to throw his hands first at me since I had dared to grab the ‘Dark Prince’ by his collar in front of all his admirers.
But as if to add gasoline to my rage, I saw the smug widen on his lips when he snorted, “You’re the one who forcibly sat on my desk when I had told you to go away, remember? Besides, this is the kind of reaction you should’ve shown to that man, but instead when I pointed out the truth, you’re getting angry with me?”
“Truth? Do you really think I enjoyed him groping me? Are you really fuckin’ crazy!?” His humiliating words made me grit my teeth, as I clenched my grip tight around his collar.
“And what about you? Would you let anyone grope you however they want without showing a protest?” He retorted back to me in a stiff grumble, while his serious dark gaze was solely focused on me, making me uneasy.
Moving a few inches closer, Zeus intently whispered in my ears by leaning his face closer, “Be honest with me, is this your true perverted nature to act so damn easy around everyone? Does this make you feel better?”
THWACK!
Unable to stand his humiliating taunts anymore, I threw a punch on his right cheek, making the whole crowd gasp around us.
I was very surprised at my own reaction as well. Being a cool-tempered man…it was the very first time in my life I had been so affected by someone’s words…especially coming from him.
However, with such a great masculine physique, Zeus was much stronger than I had expected. He didn’t even flinch from the hit and was only pushed a few steps away from me. His dazzling white porcelain skin had a small red bruise resulting from the punch, but he calmly touched his cheek first with his broad fingers to ensure that he wasn’t bleeding.
But riled with the agony rising inside my heart, I gritted at him with tears shimmering in my rolled ocean eyes, “I fuckin’ hated it! I hated that bastard’s touch more than anything in my life…to the point that I wanted to break his arm and beat the crap out of him right here! But you know what, I don’t have the fuckin’ privileged life like you guys. I wasn’t born with a silver spoon, and that’s why I knew, I wouldn’t have any money to defend myself when that bastard would’ve sued me later on!
“That’s why…I had to grit my teeth for enduring that damn humiliation! And you know what’s even more strange? I was a fool enough to think of you as my savior when you showed up at the right time to protect me, Zeus. I was truly grateful to you…but…your words just proved to me that you’re even worse as a human being than that pervert!”
“Oh my goodness! What’s happening here!?” Invading through the big audience of students watching us, Hermes ran towards us.
But before checking on me, I saw him rolling his gaze towards Zeus’s bruised face. With a look of disbelief, he tried to approach Zeus slowly, sounding baffled, “Oh no, Zeus…I hope you’re not very injured. Please don’t press any charges against Ethan, he doesn’t know what he’s doing now—”
“I am perfectly aware of what I did!” But interrupting his words, I grumbled aloud at Zeus whose intense gaze was only locked on me, among thousands of people watching us. Hermes finally turned around, making a displeased face at me but it didn’t stop me from venting, “Zeus, you might’ve your pool of admirers here, but I can’t stand people like you who enjoy trampling over someone to satisfy their toxic ego.
“To be honest, I was repulsed earlier to see the way how you behaved with Emma…so…before I start detesting the sight of yours, let’s stay away from each other’s path, shall we? Besides, I won’t apologize for hitting you as well. If you wanna press charges, go ahead because you fuckin’ deserved that punch, jerk!”
“Ethan, please stop it! You come with me, right now!” Hermes deliberately grabbed me by my hands and started dragging me away from the sight of chaos, where I could still feel Zeus’s piercing gaze following me as I went away.
After Hermes had brought me to the other end of that giant hall, he grumbled at me, “Ethan, have you really gone insane? Among all the people in the campus, you picked a fight with Zeus? Why did you have to get yourself in trouble just because I took my eyes off you? Seriously, do you know—”
“Now, I don’t want any lecture from you, Hermes. As my friend, you should’ve taken my side over there, instead of pleading to that jerk! You should've been worried for me!" Interrupting his sentence, my loud grunt paused him for a brief moment as I could see him intensely gawking at me.
Angry, frustrated, and exhausted by the chaotic events happening in my life one after another, my voice broke as I whined to him, “I just wanted to have one peaceful drink, for heaven’s sake! And then…I ran into a pervert and following that, the shitty jerk riled me up! You know what, I think I should just leave the party… I am just so damn tired of everything---”
…
“Excuse me, would you mind if I sit with you for a moment?”
But a sudden soft feminine voice from behind flinched me hard while I venting out to Hermes. Turning around, my eyes rolled in shock to see it was that same beautiful girl with a round petite face and brown long hair, whom I was intrigued by the first sight.
While gawking at this beauty I remember mistakenly bumping into that bastard, Zeus from where my jinx of the day began. But now watching her approach me first, I was left quite stunned.
Hermes slowly walked close and stood in between me and that beauty as he addressed in a cordial tone, “She’s Lena, and she’s also a freshman from the Economics department. Leaving you for a while, I went to talk to her because she was asking me to introduce you to her, Ethan.
“But in that short time, you went ahead and got yourself into a commotion with Zeus. Look, I wasn’t taking his side there, but Ethan you need to realize you’re a scholarship student here…and if you get indulged into any serious chaos, especially with someone as influential as Zeus, your scholarship might get canceled and you’ll be expelled from the campus. I was just worried about you because you’re my friend, Ethan.”
As my temper started to cool down, I was able to realize Hermes’s words and felt a little guilty for lashing out at him earlier. Indeed he was right, he was just being considerate about my situation, but I behaved with him like a brat when he was always being concerned for me.
“I am sorry, Hermes…for doubting you earlier…”
As I uttered with a guilt-stricken look on my face, he tapped on my shoulder and even handed me a chilled beer can to help me calm down a little.
When the tense atmosphere in between us finally cooled down a little, he nudged me with his elbow and whispered to me, “Now, forget about those bad events and escort her like a true gentleman because Lena seems really interested in you. Who knows, you might get lucky tonight to leave the party with her together?”
Author's Note: Do you believe Zeus would let Ethan slip away from his fingers with this girl tonight? Do let me know your thoughts, and please keep supporting :*
Ethan’s POV:This peculiar coincidence startled me a bit since I didn’t expect the girl who had caught my interest here to be the first to approach me at the party. Despite getting a little flustered by Hermes’s tease, I didn’t turn her invitation down, as I was in dire need of something to distract me from all the chaos going on inside my head. Soon when Hermes left leaving me with Lena, I sat along with her on the velvet couch which was located on the opposite corner of the hall room. While I could feel a nervousness budding in between us now that we both were alone, Lena cordially initiated a conversation first, “Ethan, I hope I didn’t make you uncomfortable by asking for some spare time, right?” “O-Oh, of course not!” Quickly shaking my head in denial, when I responded to her, she seemed quite pleased with my answer, grinning broadly. “You must be wondering among all these students here at the party, why did I approach you here, right?” Her next question also winced me a little
Ethan's POV:BA-DUMP! THUMP! THUMP!While the sound of my erratically fast pounding heart echoed vibrantly in my ears as I entered the forest, I could feel dreadful shivers crawling down my spine. The moonlit had started to lessen drastically as I entered deeper into the woods, and I also witnessed a foggy haze covering the giant trees around me mysteriously which projected an uncanny aura about that forest! Apart from the sound of my rushing footsteps crushing the dried eucalyptus leaves, I could only hear the faint sound of small insects like crickets, apart from that…there was a complete silence around me as if I had walked into a forbidden territory! After I had entered quite deeper inside the woods, I halted my footsteps, gazing deliberately around me only to realize that all the ways ahead of me looked the exact same, and I couldn’t find the way either through which I entered the forest. Thus, it would be safe to mention I was lowkey lost and stuck in the middle of that cursed
Ethan's POV:All of a sudden, I saw that the vast area was fogged with mist, and slowly, a massive giant figure looming in the dark approached me in slow, steady steps. It didn’t seem like a human, but a creature who was approximately double in height than me, with huge broad shoulders! I couldn’t see his face, but his eyes seemed abnormally scary, making my blood run cold! I saw his eyes glowing red like a beast, protruding a fierce gaze towards me, but his pupils had shrunk to make it look like a pair of wolf eyes! My body was frozen in fear but I saw that cryptic figure march towards me slowly as the fog started to clear up on its own. With a faint trace of moonlit falling on his arms, I saw it was twice as big as the typical normal human size, covered with thick pitch-black fur. Most importantly that bloody red flame which I had mistaken as a wildfire was radiating all around his big arms, as if that creature was carrying a ball of fire in his arms! The moment he walked a littl
Ethan’s POV:Ahh, finally! Finally, I made it to my dream university after all these years of working myself to the bone…Bordwell University, my dream campus. Standing in front of the lavish campus entrance gate, I couldn’t help but feel a bit overwhelmed by my emotions. My new life begins here…a life where I could provide a good life for my mother who’s the only family I am left with in the whole world. After losing my father to a car accident when I was only 7, my mother was still very young and beautiful. But without listening to anyone’s advice, she didn’t give up on me and rather raised me all alone facing the turbulence of hardships throughout her whole life. Watching her suffer all her life while holding a serene smile on her lips, ignited the fire within me from a very young age to be very successful in life so that she would never have to work again to make ends meet. The first step towards my long-awaited goal was to graduate from the most prestigious university in the c
Ethan’s POV:“Are you alright?”A kind, soft voice from behind summoned me as I turned back to notice the person who had called me. That guy was also a tall, handsome young man, but a little shorter than me in height. Wearing specs and looking a bit nerdy, he seemed like a studious polite student, but I wondered if all the guys on this campus were blessed with handsome faces.“Well, I happened to meet an arrogant jerk on my first day here. So, I am a little perplexed right now. I wonder if the other people here are at least a bit friendly…” Gulping my saliva, I answered him in a low, irked tone while glancing at the way that jerk just left. “Well, everyone who runs into Zeus for the first time has the same experience more or less. He’s just the opposite trait of yours.” That guy chuckled a bit while responding to me, walking closer. “Zeus?” I quickly caught his point, frowning my brows as I questioned, “Did you see me bumping into that jerk? Are you talking about him?”His smile wi
Ethan’s POV: I was certain that Zeus had noticed me standing at the door bearing a contemplated look, but that jerk arrogantly turned away his face as if he didn’t give a crap about my existence at all. At that moment, a middle-aged lady professor walked inside the classroom, making all the students greet her cordially. I was still nervously standing at the doorstep, contemplating my choices, but I heard the professor summon me, “You’re the new scholarship student, right? Why are you still standing there, come inside. Take a seat. We are already late to start but the freshmen will share the class today with your seniors because it will also cover the syllabus for their midterm.”Her greeting didn’t make me feel at ease either. All the desks were already taken, except the one next to that jerk and I didn’t have the slightest will to sit there either. But since the class was about to start, I felt like I had no other option as I marched close to his seat. Gently I tapped my finger on
Ethan’s POV:Exceeding my expectations, this wicked jerk tried to manipulate me so that he would further enjoy watching me get belittled again, but I wasn’t a fool to commit the mistake of putting my trust in someone like him. I angrily turned my face away from him without paying heed to his deal, and rather sulked at him, “Why the heck you would assume that shit when I have always liked women? I would rather prefer to die than be interested in someone like you who is always annoyingly full of himself.” My blatant scowl paused Zeus for a moment, as I could feel him slowly backing off from me. However, I didn’t mistake seeing a tint of jealousy in his pitch-black eyes which he had fixated on me. Moreover, the surly expression on his face seemed to depict that he truly disliked my answer of preferring women over him. Wait, am I so exhausted now that I have started to see things? There’s no way someone like Zeus would bother to show any interest in my liking preferences… Yeah…I must h
Ethan's POV:I was shaken inside by the horrific tarot prediction, and couldn’t stop rolling my gaze over that sentence repeatedly for a few times. My throat felt parched from the harrowing anxiety, making it difficult for me to swallow along with the cold shivers crawling down my spine. I have been using this app for over a year and most of the time, it has given me accurate readings for the day. But today when I was eagerly looking forward to this fresher’s party…reading those scary words turned my blood cold as it was the very first time I had obtained such an eerie prediction. What would I do now if this was truly a bad omen? Initially biting my nails, I thought of skipping the party and staying inside my room to avoid any possible danger. But when I looked around myself, I realized being cooped inside this tiny room with poor ventilation would drive me even crazier from overthinking. At that moment, I mustered my inner courage, thinking that the wise choice would be to attend

Ethan’s POV:As much as I was barely suppressing my vicious urge to twist his dirty hand with which he dared to grope my ass, shuffling my glare at his nasty smug face I gritted, “What the fuck…are you doing?” “I am just trying to be a bit familiar with you. It’s uncommon to find such a cute pretty boy like you here. You seem like a newbie at Bordwell University, right?”Without showing any minimal shame, that bastard groped my butt cheek a little hard this time, giving it a little squeeze, “I had my eyes following you since the moment I saw you here today, boy. It was a perfect chance to approach you when I saw you alone at the bar counter. Besides, you are perfectly my type.” While growing up in my small hometown, I had a vague idea of the kinds of perverts existing in this world, but this baldie bastard even topped them all! What kind of a vulgar pervert does someone have to be to approach a perfectly manly guy like me, and even call me cute? How dare he!?Strangely I observed th
Ethan’s POV:I think I would’ve been a little glad if a ghost had actually shown up at that time in the party. But further adding to my miserable luck for today, it was someone worse than that. Zeus Blackwell…the root cause of my bad luck had arrived here too. That punk held a proud arrogant sneer on his lips as he walked through the glass door, bearing his majestic aura. Groomed in a branded pitch-black leather jacket with grey denim jeans in contrast, his onyx black hair bangs covering his forehead along with his sharp sexy jawline…were enough to reflect the radiance of a top-notch celebrity from him. I hated to admit that his handsomeness was way beyond too dazzling for me to ignore, compared to all the other men attending the party, who looked more like peasants to me before this ‘Dark Prince’. His big mysterious eyes had a reserved look in them when he calmly strode towards us, but while walking past a few young girls, Zeus made them gasp with his aura. Not only the girls, but
Ethan’s POV:Can my day get any worse today? Now I have started to think, maybe that rude bastard Zeus was the root cause behind my awful luck today! If only I hadn’t bumped into him here before anyone else…perhaps, today would’ve turned out to be the best day of my life! F*ck you…Zeus! No matter how much I tried to vent my frustration by internally cussing at that arrogant punk, my mood only worsened as I saw all the other students entering the restaurant gallantly while showing off their passes. I was forced to stand at the corner from the gate, letting others walk past me. Initially, I thought of pleading before that giant guard again, but his dark eyes with that murderous glare in them scared me. I was also gifted with a tall and good physique, but his crazy big muscular mass scared me, as I knew he might be deadly strong enough to beat me into a pulp if I further pursued. Losing all hope by now as I was mentally preparing myself to leave, a sudden gentle tap on my shoulder fl
