Author's Pov

Sebastian paused the moment his foot stepped out of the factory, the rain was ready to touch him but his driver instantly covered him with an umbrella. He narrowed his eyes tilting his head to the side eyeing the place where he left the broken girl behind.

He took a deep breath before turning his hazy gaze toward one of his men, "Stay here," He began to order the masked man who obediently listened to him.

"Keep an eye on her, make sure she reaches her house without any problem." The man nodded his head walking to the other side of the factory. Sebastian finally strolled towards his car and entered it before letting her thoughts invade his senses.

Bellaria Hayes, the same girl he witnessed on the beach. Sebastian wouldn't deny the fact that he was left awestruck and surprised after seeing the same girl who wasn't ready to leave his mind, that broken doleful girl he had seen on the beach that day. No wonder, why she looked dejected so much. It was her father's funeral day.

The moment he saw her face he wanted nothing but to discover the color of her eyes, he had no idea why he was so interested in knowing how deep and captivating her eyes are, he just knew he wanted to see them. And indeed those ocean pearls were the most beautiful yet hypnotizing stones he ever witnessed before.

But the moment he remembered her fearless gaze and full of hatred glare his jaw twitched in displease, how much he wanted to teach her a lesson to never try to subdue him, never try to behave like he was not superior. He fucking hated the look she gave him like he had no control, dominance, or slightest bit of effect over her.

Heaving out a dry sigh he shook his head grabbed the papers and watched her signs on the paper, but suddenly something caught his eye. A teardrop. There was a dry teardrop on the side of her signature. He moved his thumb over the smudged dried-up water before abruptly closing the file.

"It's done, this will be the last time I am meeting her, just forget about her." He mumbled to himself before distracting himself from her thoughts but like a persistent magnet those thoughts kept on messing up his brain.

Meanwhile, on the other hand, Bella finally gathered the strength to push her numb cold body off the floor before steadily standing up on her injured knees. With her lifeless hand, she grasped the strap of her bag and swung it over her shoulder.

Walking numbly under the heavy rain she didn't try to hide away from it anymore, she let the merciless water conceal her pathetic tears. The man who was left behind by Sebastian followed the girl till she was in front of her house. He stared at her until the door of the house abruptly got unlatched and finishing his work he left the place.

Bella stared blankly at the door hearing it desperately being unlocked, the tears were still falling over her cheeks but the rain which had dampened her wholly successfully hid her tears but the sorrow behind her eyes was still on display.

Sarah stared at her sister with wide stupendous eyes before scanning her from head to toe, Bella's wet shirt was covered with dirt and her skirt had dark blotches of blood on it which indeed was hers. Her knees were still slightly bleeding. Sarah stepped ahead gently holding her sister's shoulder making Bella look into her brown worried eyes.

"Bella, what happened?" She whispered decreasing the distance. Bella's tears streamed down even more which added to Sarah's anxiety.

"Bella, you're scaring me, what happened? You look like a mess, wait," She blinked gulping down.

"D-Did someone --" Before she could even continue Bella nodded her head making Sarah gasp out in horror.

"W-Who?" She stammered.

"An animal." Bella cracked up once again in a hushed cry.

"A vicious animal robbed me, us. I lost everything, Sarah. I couldn't fight them, they won." Bella burst out crying making Sarah embrace her shattered sister right away. Tears kissed Sarah's cheeks as well as she understood the meaning behind Bella's words.

"I am sorry." Bella apologized numbly before darkness engulfed her completely. Sarah held her firmly in her arms frightened after seeing her sister losing her senses.

"Bella! Please wake up!" But it was too late, the girl already lost the strength to stay awake anymore.

Sarah held her sister's fragile body in her arms bringing her towards their room, she didn't waste a second and called the doctor while changing her clothes into clean and decent ones. One of their neighbors had a doctor, so it didn't take much time for the man to arrive. He checked the young girl who was burning with fever and bandaged her bleeding knees.

"Nothing to worry about, it's just a fever. I am prescribing some medicines it will help." Sarah nodded staring at her pale sister. After the doctor left she tugged Bella under a warm and heavy blanket and went to make something for her to eat.

Sarah with difficulty put her mother to sleep after giving her medicines, the old woman kept on inquiring about her other daughter but Sarah ensured her saying that Bella caught a mild fever that's why she was resting. After preparing a warm and healthy porridge she made her way to the room only to find her sister sitting on the bed wide awake.

Bella's eyes were closed, her head was resting against the bed's headboard, and there was a picture frame attached to her chest. Picture frame of her father. Bella and Sarah had their father's picture frame settled on the side table, she must have grabbed it. Sarah's eyes tapered in sadness watching her broken frame.

Bella on the other hand, the moment she woke up was beyond regretful, even though she lost her father's belongings to protect her sister and mother but she still was ashamed, she promised her father that she will fight for the things he worked so hard but she failed him.

Her fear once again won against a subtle wall of courage she had built.

Sarah placed the tray on the side table and took the seat beside her, "Bella," Her sister's voice made her unfold her teary red eyes. She looked into Sarah's uncertain brown eyes before giving her a tarnished half-hearted smile.

"Eat something, you have a fever. After that, you need to take medicines." The young girl tried to hide her exertion and grab the picture frame but Bella tightened her grip over it staring at her with nothing but guilt.

"Bella, it's ok, whatever happened let's just forget and move on--" Bella shook her head.

"I failed us, I failed dad, didn't I?" Sarah instantly denied her assertion by shaking her head.

"I am such a disappointment, I let my fear once again defeat me. That monster took our everything and I gave it to him. I failed him, Sarah." Sarah didn't waste a second and threw her arms around her sister letting her head to fell over her shoulder.

"I am so so--"

"Shhh, just stop it, Bella. It's not your fault. It never was. We are decent and kind-hearted people Bella, we can't fight with those scandalous tricksters. I knew we can't drag them to the court. Just forget it, Bella. Time will heal everything." Sarah comforted her and it kind of work as she didn't try to reply anymore just let out her heart in her sister's warm embrace.

Both sisters remained in the same position for God knows how long crying their hearts out, only they knew how much they were demolishing at the moment, Sarah was beyond dejected seeing her sister's condition while Bella kept on remembering the time she signed away everything. Their father's loss, their mother's deranged health, and the painful stroke that the devil made just left them completely shattered.

Sarah pulled away wiping her cheeks before doing the same with Bella, this time Bella didn't protest when she took the picture frame and placed it on the side table. She pulled the tray onto her lap and motioned her sister to eat the porridge which the disheartened girl did.

Her second spoon didn't go in her mouth instead she brought it to her sister's lips who smiled at her. She nodded her head motioning her to eat it. Sarah took the spoon in her mouth and started munching. She hadn't eaten anything after feeding her mother too and Bella knew without asking her.

"Never skip dinner again ok. From now on I will get late because of my night shift." She mumbled sniffling her blocked nose. Sarah nodded her head again eating from her sister's hand.

Finally after eating they went to sleep but not even a blink of sleep reached Bella. She stayed awake the whole night and the scene of him pointing his gun at her kept on replaying in her mind, his vicious eyes, apathetic emotions and the way he coerced her signs just left her speechless. Bella was brought up by her angel mother who always taught her to do good to others even if they are hurting her, and her father that man always encouraged her to do the only righteous thing. And seeing so many wrongs in just a period of a few days has messed her up. She never thought humans can be animals as well or maybe worst than that.

Unhurriedly she sat up on the edge of the bed staring at the moon through the window, the rain had stopped and the weather was chilly and foggy. She stared at the beauty of nature before sighing internally leaving everything on her only hope, and protector. Her God. She left everything to him, she was always taught by her parents to never go for revenge and rage because these emotions can only destroy you further and can never help you find peace.

Her father used to tell her that sometimes when we can't win something even after our all tries then we should simply leave it to the most merciful and almighty, God. He's seeing everything, her pain, her struggle, and even the people who were her wrongdoers. He knows the best and he's the best planner.

And right now Bella knew she can't fight Wayne's, they were way too powerful and vicious to be defeated by a simple and peace-loved girl like her, she can't even think of hurting others then how can she fight them? After all, that beast has already told her that if she has to defeat him, she needs to find his weakness first. And neither she was interested in finding his weakness nor she had the heart to hurt an innocent just to sate her vengeance.

Now she just wanted to focus on her family, her sister needed her support, and her mother needed her strength to live. If she thought about taking revenge more destruction will knock at their door and she knew they wouldn't be able to handle more pain. Leaving their matter on her Got she finally laid down on the bed again before confining her eyes in the process. She might not spell it out loud but from the heart, she still wished for the worst to come Wayne's way.

Hardly she got three hours of sleep and woke up right at 7 am. At 8 am, her job starts as a receptionist in the company. She got ready and Sarah for college. The caretaker also came to look after her mother. Her mother was still worried after seeing Bella's slightly red and swollen eyes because of lack of sleep and crying last night but to not worry her mother she decided to hide this truth from her for a time being. Kneeling before her mother she held her hands in hers.

"Mom don't be scared. Your daughter has learned to live through her fear, I know you're worried that I have never done a job before and even I am worried too but we need to learn new things right? I am going to do the same. And also," She said smiling at her mother assuring her,

"Before you start your interrogation, last night I got late and missed the bus that's why because of walking under the rain I caught the fever but now I am perfectly fine." She lied feeling a pang of guilt in her heart, she wanted to share her every sorrow with her mother but right now her mother's condition was too sensitive and she didn't want to risk anything. Easter sighed in relief nodding her head.

"Please be careful. I only have you two now. I can't lose you." Bella smiled kissing her cheek.

"I sure will, I am going now. Take care and take medicines on time." Easter nodded. Bella talked with a caretaker for the last before leaving the house.

Meanwhile

"Morning mom and dad," Sebastian said kissing his mother's cheek.

Taking a seat at the dining table he took a slice of toast before spreading peanut butter on it. The maid placed his cup of coffee on the table before stepping back keeping her head down. Sebastian took a sip of his coffee before biting the slice of bread in his hand.

"Seb my son you have made me the happiest man on the earth last night. I can't even explain in words how much peaceful slumber I had after seeing the sign of Bellaria Hayes on the papers last night." Sebastian's lips curled up in a twisted smile proudly nodding at him.

"My pleasure, dad. Even though we don't need this property but still the amount of satisfaction I got after watching her obstinacy and bravery breaking in front of my eyes was just inimitable." He let out in his usual deep voice feeling ecstatic remembering how helpless and vulnerable she looked last night.

The memories of her cursing him entered his mind many times but all he did was scoff in the end. There is no God. And there is nothing like a curse in this world. He was confident that nothing can harm Waynes. He is Sebastian Wayne the most powerful bachelor in this country. He doesn't need to worry about such petty emotional curses.

"Now it's better to leave them alone." Smith voiced out to which Sebastian nodded absent-mindedly.

"Of course." He mumbled finishing his toast and taking a last sip of his coffee.

"Seb darling tonight you have to attend a party of my friend remember? I want to introduce you to one of my friend's daughters. She's beautiful you will definitely like her." Sebastian rolled his eyes before looking at his mother, but seeing her eyes he knew he can't just refuse her.

"I will try mom today I have an important meeting with M&S Company. I am not sure if I will be able to come to the party." He replied grabbing the keys to his car and phone.

"I am not hearing no this time. You are coming and that's final." She said glaring at him, he chuckled nodding his head.

"Will try my best, mother." Kissing her forehead, and bidding goodbye to his father he walked out of the house.

His driver tried to open the door for him but he motioned him to get out of his way which the man did, entering his car he inserted the key and started it before fleeing away. Sebastian always had an extremely bad habit of driving a car like a maniac.

He abruptly tapped on the break halting his car when the red light was switched on, lazily looking through his car's window his eyes caught a familiar face that he wasn't expecting to see in the early morning. He narrowed his sharp gray eyes trying to confirm his doubts as she was standing a little far from his car and indeed it was her.

"Bella." He whispered absently minded watching her with keen interest, his eyes unconsciously raked all over her wanting to see what she was wearing today.

She was cladded in a white skirt that reached her ankles along with a light pink colored shirt. And as usual, there was a small white scarf around her shoulders. He frowned. Why does she always have something on her shoulders? Sometimes a muffler, then a shawl, and now a small scarf.

Her dressing sense was extremely decent not showing even a single spot of her skin. Even her neck was covered with the scarf she was wearing. All he could see was her face and hands. Her fiery red hair was tied up in a tight ponytail. Squinting her eyes because of the sunlight she waited for the bus to reach her stop.

Suddenly his wicked mind flashed a few images of last night before his eyes, the way her wet yet soft body got glued against his hard yet warm ones made him gulp down. The memory of her dry and quivering lips invaded his senses along with those eyes. Damn those eyes! Those ocean orbs were the most beautiful ones he had ever come across.

He was so lost in staring at her that he didn't even notice the red light changing its color until he blinked in surprise hearing the horn of the car behind him. He shook his head detaching his intense gaze from her figure and speeding up his car once again.

Suddenly he felt a wave of rage spreading in his veins. Why the fuck was he staring at her? Why does he even care how she was looking or where she was going? And the temptation he felt towards her was beyond bizarre.

He gritted his teeth tightening his grip over the steering wheel, he needs to get rid of the thought of that obstinate girl. That low-class girl needs to leave his mind, there is no match for them. He was done with her the night she signed the papers. Trying his best to get rid of her thoughts he reached his company and got engaged with work. Soon the clock hit 11 am it was the time of his meeting with the CEO of M&S Company.

Bella reached the company right at 8 am and instantly got busy with work. The company was big enough that's why there were three receptions. And she was given the duty of the second one. All of the receptionists were new except for the manager who decided to take a leave on her first day. Everything was going on smoothly till she heard some commotion at the first reception.

She frowned watching the back of the man that was almost seething lowly like a hungry wolf at the poor girl. The first receptionist's head was dipped down in submission, tears streamed down her eyes feeling embarrassed at how the man was insulting her. Bella felt bad for he, even though her sixth sense warned her to not get involved in other's matters but to be the kind-hearted person she is. She walked towards the man.

"Excuse me, sir," She patted his shoulder making him turn around with his eyes gleaming with furiousness.

Those familiar yet haunting hawk-grey eyes met her ocean-blue ones making her freeze on the spot.

Sebastian Wayne.
