His Sick Brother

Kenny pulled the car to a corner upon hearing Alden's sudden response.

He turned his gaze to look at Alden before asking, “Do you really like her? So you were just lying about Olivia not being your type?”

Kenny's question made him angry, but he held it in.

“I don't like her. I meant to say that,” he said with his usual smile. “Now, would you drive me to your house?”

“What? My house? What if my girlfriend suddenly comes home and sees you in my house?” Kenny asked incredulously.

“Would she think I—”

Alden's statement was cut off by an incoming call. He checked the caller ID; it was his grandma.

He did not hesitate before picking up the call. “Grandma, why are you calling at this time?” He questioned quickly.

“Your brother passed out. He has been rushed—”

“Which hospital, Grandma?” His question interrupted his grandmother's statement.

“I don't know the name. The one close to our house. Please hurry up. I don't trust Aziel and Atlas,” Grandma Katherine said worriedly before she hung up.
