Chapter Sixty-One

Sitting across who I thought had been my wife all along. I felt nothing but pain. Pain of being betrayed for a whole complete year.

But the whole surprising thing is how had I not noticed anything. Her voice, her smile, her way of eating, the way she dotes on our son. Screw that; my son. The whole way she behaved was like Alessandra that for once I wouldn't have suspected a thing if not for the absence of the birth mark close to her breast.

I need to run no medical whatever to tell me that this lady isn't Alessandra.

I continued staring at her in disgust not taking my gaze off, not even when my mother came in.

“Who's at home? Sandra dear__” she was saying but stopped on seeing whoever her name is kneeling on the floor with tears rolling down her cheeks.

“What's going on here?" My mother asked while moving over to raise the kneeling lady up. Because there's no way I'm calling her Alessandra again.
