Chapter Seventy-Nine

I woke up the next morning with a terrible hangover. Partly from the alcohol and the rough night between us.

I spread my hands across the bed. To my dismay it was empty and cold.

I opened my eyes slowly and truly he isn't on the bed.

I ignored the banging hangover razing the whole of my head and head out of the room. The hallway looks empty.

Where could he have gone to so early?

I stroll down not knowing exactly where I'm headed to. I continued walking anyway.

“I can see you're awake.”

I turned around to see him standing a few feet away from me dressed in a well tailored suit. Even his haircut looks different, I guess he's in a conference meeting with his staffs.

I closed the remaining distance between us.

“Yes. I searched but didn't see you around so I decided to come check on you.

“Sorry I didn't keep a note for you, just trying to fix a little problem.”
