“She’s actually dead?”

Rex nods his head at me. “She was lying to you, Elsa, to all of us. It wasn’t Nate she was sharing information with, it was Finn. He knew about her all along.”

“Really? She’s dead?” I could feel the corners of my lips involuntary turning up.

“She was jeopardising my pack. I won’t have that. I know you probably never really wanted to kill her, but I had to make the call in the moment.”

“That’s brilliant news!”

He raises an eyebrow, “I was expecting you to be upset.”

I shake my head at him. “I’ve wanted her dead since I found out what she did, what she’s been responsible for.”

“You are very calm about this.”

“Do you realise how many times I wish I had the ability to kill someone? Before I was turned into a Wolf, I mean. Every asshole that hurt me. Every person that caused me pain. My tormentors. And I was never able to.”

“That’s the Lycan blood talking.”

“Or maybe it’s who I truly am.” I mutter
