I had lost sight of the car. I tried to keep up but the human that was driving had sped away.

“It’s alright.” Zara mutters. “She’s trained for all scenarios.”

“Being trapped between a Lycan and a human? I should have stopped Corina the moment we saw her.”

“We can’t. Elsa needs to do this.” She gently places her hand on my arm as she stares at me. “She can do this.”

“What if?”

“No what if’s, Alpha. I know you care about her but you need to have some faith that she can do this. Otherwise, what was the point in me training her?”

The others come out of their hiding spots. Wanting to know our next moves.

“We track down the vehicle.” I mutter. “We get to it before Corina gets Elsa to Finn.”

We move in silence.

The others knew my expectations. Though usually, there wasn’t a girl involved. And it had been a long time since we had battled anyone.
