I had let Corina think she was winning. I had let her carry me through the woods, pretending to be unconcious. I had listened to her as she had muttered how she would have killed me already if it wasn’t for Finn. Finn wanted me alive and she was going to make sure I arrived that way.

When she started telling me how she was going to remove Rex’s limbs one by one, I lost it. I attacked, taking her by surprise. Sinking my claws into the top of her skull, I pulled and pulled. She barely made a sound. Not even when her flesh began to tear.

Her spine came with her head. Zara had said I was strong, but I didn't think I was that strong.

Her spine dragged along the ground as I continued to move in the direction Corina had been taking me.
