CHAPTER 4

Keiser’s pov

I carried my mate in bridal style and immediately took her to the medical wing where the doctor proceeded for further investigation. They treated the wound and covered it with bandages and other injuries on her body.

I was feeling terrible for the first time in my life. What kind of a mate am i? I let my mate die in the battle. If she dies today, I will die with her too. I was lost in the thoughts and did not realise that my eyes were filled with tears.

The bad Alpha cried, twice in his whole lifetime. My beta handed me a handkerchief and I glared at him with shooting daggers. Although he maintained a good distance from me, I was annoyed by his presence near my mate. She is mine and will be mine. I don’t want any other male wolf to see her except me.

“Alpha? Did you just cry because of this rogue? Didn’t you want to execute her?” He questioned me and I was bothered by his daring attitude.

I got off my guard and pinned him on the wall with the collars of his shirt under my shift. I lifted him in the air, “how dare you question your Alpha? Whatever i do is none of your concern and one more thing, never ever call her rouge again. She is my mate and your Luna, so respect her!” I hissed on his face.

I can notice how he turned pale from my shouting. It was obvious, everyone is familiar with my temperament.

“I don’t spare anyone usually but today i will let you go because I am happy! I have found my mate! Go and spread the news that the Alpha is mated now!” I commanded and he bowed down immediately.

My beta, Lance left without uttering another word and I watched my darling lying on the bed unconsciously. It broke my heart. Soon the doctor was out of the room and approached me.

“Alpha!” He bowed to me, “the girl is recovering but she needs a lot of rest and nutritions. Her body went into shock because of the exhaustion and lack of energy in her body.” he stated.

“Can you explain to me?” I demanded.

“Alpha! Actually, she is undernourished. I guess in her previous pack, they did not feed her properly and I found some scars on her body as well. It indicates a physical abuse done to her multiple times.”

He added, ‘today was her first shift and her body consumed a lot of energy and nutrients from the body. She needs to eat better and she needs to be stress free.” he explained.

“Okay! But when will she wake up?” I asked him.

“I can’t say, it entirely depends on the rate of her recovery,” he said.

“Then make it sure that she recovers fast!” I hissed at him.

He looked scared but replied politely, “we are trying our best!”

The doctor left quickly before I bombarded him with more questions. I get inside the room and sit beside my mate. She was still unconscious.

I observed her carefully. Even though she was in dirt but she was the most beautiful girl my eyes have landed on. I caressed her cheeks lighty, without interfering with the bandages. I was careful so i won’t hurt her unintentionally.

I held her hand and the tingles on my skin were increasing my need for her. She is my mate and she is my eternal love. When I was lost in my own thoughts, I fell asleep on the chair while holding her hand.

It was a sound of a beeping machine that woke me up. A nurse was present in the room, checking her vitals. She noticed me awake and bowed to me. My mate was still unconscious and I got really worried for her.

A wolf should have been healed by now but she isn’t moving a finger even. My patience was getting thin so i got up and went to the office of the doctor.

“I demand an explanation! Why hasn't my mate been conscious yet? Didn’t you say that she will recover soon?” I hissed at the doctor who was already pale from his face.

“She is fine now, Alpha but we don’t know why she is not out of her temporary unconsciousness.” the doctor stuttered.

I clutched my knuckles hard and I tried to control my wolf. Lance entered the office and addressed me, “Keiser! You mate, she has left the wing!”

He informed me and I stood in shock for a while. A few minutes earlier, she was lying in the bed unconscious and suddenly, she was left on the wing. I just can’t digest this knews. I left the office and Lance followed me.

The nurse was there in the room and I lashed at her, “where is she?” I shouted in my Alpha tone.

The nurse laid in my feet and replied, “forgive me, Alpha! The patient said she wanted to use the bathroom. I waited for her but she didn’t come out after a  while. I went inside to check and found the bathroom empty. She was gone!” she cried.

“You!!!” i wanted to strangle that nurse but  Lance clasped my hand, “she is innocent, Keiser! Let her go!”

I glared at my Beta! How dare he? But he is right! Where is my little kitten gone? She didn't go too far.

“Look for her! Order every damn guard to seal all the entrances and exits.” I ordered him.

I sniffed deeply to inhale her scent so I could follow her. Her scent was there but weak.

How can she leave me like this? You little kitten, i will claim you right when I will find you!
