I heard a knock on the door of my room. I just cover myself with a blanket, I don't feel like talking to any of them now.“It's Tessa.” She's one of the maids who assist me, she helps me familiarize all the stuff going on, in this mansion. I let her in.“I'm sorry for what happened earlier, Sir scolded you because of us.” I immediately shook my head.“No, it wasn't your fault. He's the narrow-minded one, there's nothing wrong in doing household chores. He thinks that he's the God of all using having plenty of money!” I angrily said. I heard a fake cough from the entrance of my door, my eyes widen when I saw Canon, he was standing while his arms crossed. I immediately look away.The hell. I didn't notice he was there! Tessa hurriedly left my room and excuse herself. Canon enters my room and locks my door. My heart is beating so fast.“Can we talk?” He asked. I turn my back on him.“You're already talking.” I awkwardly stated. He just chuckle, this is the first time I heard him laugh. I faced him and he bit his lip.“You asked me yesterday if I would let you work, right?” He said that made me confused. Why the hell he brought it up again?“I will let you, but on one condition. You will just work under my company, you will be my secretary.” My eyes widen the moment he muttered those words. I jump in bliss and unconsciously hug him. I felt him still so I immediately step backward.“I'm sorry, I was just happy.” I smiled awkwardly. He just left me there feeling so blissful. But he didn't apologize!I woke up early this morning. I cook breakfast for Canon, I was just happy that he was slowly changing from a tiger to a cat. I laugh at my thoughts. I'm humming a certain song while swaying my hips.“What the hell are you doing?” I jump in fear and the oil burn my skin, I held my other hand. It hurts so much. Canon steps closer to me.“What happen?” He scolded and grab my hands, I flinched in pain when he unconsciously held the spot where the wound is.He guides me to one of the chairs on the dining table. He asked one of the maids to bring us the first aid kit. He look so worried and I felt at ease when he was holding my hand.“You don't have to cook when you don't know how to.” He scolded. I just rolled my eyes.“You scared me that's why. I just want to cook breakfast for you and yet you can't appreciate that.” He look so shocked when I said those.“I never asked you to do so.” He said flatly.“But I want to.” I will never let him win in this argument. He just stayed silent until the maid brought him the first aid kit, he silently healed my wounds and I enjoy watching him looking so serious while doing it.I've never seen him this close. He doesn't have any visible open pores. His skin is so smooth, he's like a woman who constantly visits a dermatologist for his facial treatment. His skin is clearer than mine. I felt so shy, do I smell good? Maybe I smell onion and garlic, this is so embarrassingHe finished healing my wounds and he stood straight.“I'm going now. Next time don't force yourself to cook, you look ignorant.” He stated that makes him fuming mad. I hate you right after I admire you.He left and I decided to visit my parents in the hospital. Today is the discharge of my father, I can't wait to see him.I saw Dad walking while Mom is preparing their stuff. I immediately hugged my Dad. I'm so happy that he's doing great and he survived this big challenge in our lives.“I miss you. You're so brave.” I said. He just smile and pat my back.“Thank you for everything princess. I'm sorry for causing too much trouble.” I shook my head.“You didn't cause any trouble, Dad. We love you and we will do everything to bring you back to normal.” He smile and hug me again, we both laugh when Mommy joined us.I help them until we got home. I will miss my room. I already lied to them that I got a decent job wherein I needed to stay there, and they allow me to have an advance payment for my Dad's hospital bill. They don't know the truth that I married someone I don't know for the sake of money.It was late at night when I decided to go home, I will just explain to Canon that I needed to stay at my parent's house.“Where were you?” He asked coldly.“I came from my parent's house. I just needed to stay for them.” I tiredly said. His face lit up a bit and he went upstairs. I asked one of the maids if he already ate dinner but they said that he waited for me.I felt so guilty. I left my phone in my room and I found out that he called so many times and left almost 30 messages. Maybe he's hungry now. I heated the food and knock on his door. He didn't open it. He's asleep or taking a shower. I just waited and knock again.Luckily, he already opens his door this time. He barely look at me and was confused about why the hell I'm here in front of him. He looks so fresh from the shower and he smells so good. I can't help myself but smell his scent and he looks so confused that I'm stepping closer to him.“What?” I was back in reality when he asked me that. Chapter 5I immediately grab my hand from his hold but he didn't let me. Instead, he look closely at my hand and removed the piece of cloth covering my wound. Chapter 8I can't forget what happened yesterday. I hope Canon will eventually change himself so I will no longer need to deal with his rudeness. I quickly changed and ready myself to work. Chapter 9I felt awkward when I realized what I have done last night. I had some guts to stare at him while sleeping when in fact he's rude when he's awake! What the hell is wrong with my eyes?I saw Canon eating some breakfast and I immediately sat in front of him silently.
