Knight in shining armor

Liam was resting on the hood of his car when Scarlett exited the hotel with Joy when they’d closed from work. Seeing him there was a surprise to Scarlett because that was the hotel's underground parking lot reserved solely for their workers. She wondered how he was able to drive his car in when he had no worker's ID but knowing Liam, he would get whatever he wanted through nook and cranny.

Since she knew that Liam could be waiting for her outside the hotel anytime he wanted, she told her driver to always park the car there. This way he wouldn't be able to stop her when she was going home.

They had already locked gazes but Scarlett did not care, she was going to be ignoring him but of course, Liam wouldn't let her. He stood straight and began to walk up to her.

“How was work today, little cat?” he asked as he stood in her way, blocking her from walking forward.
