After shouting out about the two blonde wolves, I bombarded my mom and Austin with questions.

"What happened?" I asked my mom but didn't give her a chance to answer.

Turning to my brother I asked,

"Do we know two blonde wolves?"

He shot a worried glance at my mom, then shrugged his shoulders.

"Well, I have met a bunch of our wolves and they're all brown or black like you, mom and dad," I said, and he nodded in agreement before glancing at our mom again.

I knew that they were keeping things from me, but my family were experts at keeping secrets. I mean they kept all that Scion and werewolf crap away from me for my entire life. So, if they didn't want me to know, then I wasn't going to know.

"Look, I know you're keeping stuff from me ..." I glared at the pair of them, then snapped, "again!".

I hated the fact that they wouldn't tell me anything about the wolves in my dream, but their reactions told me all I needed to know. They were real. I dropped the subject as soon as my father

I shook my head, trying to shake his words from my mind, but it didn’t work. They swirled around and around like a tornado, throwing every other thought out of my mind, until I couldn’t think of anything else. I stopped shaking my head and sat there staring blankly at the wall. I couldn’t believe it. I hadn’t even slept with Kyle, so why would I sleep with anyone else? I closed my eyes and put my fingers to my temples, trying to make myself remember what had happened at Murston, but my mind was blank.I huffed, while dropping my hands onto the bed. After lowering my head and opening my eyes to stare at the floor, I began to speak,“I'm really sorry, Kyle. I can’t remember what happened at Murston. I don’t even remember us breaking up. I can’t recall how I got there or what I did while I was there.”“I know. Your parents told me that they had to fill in the blanks after your accident, but you weren’t in contact with them much while you were at Murston, so they didn’t have much to tell

I was finishing up my shift at Aurora's bar and couldn’t wait to get off my feet because they were absolutely killing me. It had been a busy night and all I wanted to do was go home, take a bath, and curl up with a good book. As I stacked the last of the freshly dish-washed glasses on the shelf, I heard the bell chime at the front door. I rolled my eyes and huffed. It wasn’t the first time I’d forgotten to flip the closed sign around and lock the door before cashing up. Usually, I would have served the late customer one drink then send them on their way, but I was exhausted and couldn’t be bothered entertaining the drunks tonight.“I'm just closing up!” I shouted out, not even bothering to turn and look at who'd walked in.The guys were rowdy and paid no attention to my statement. They’d either not heard me, or chose to ignore me. Either way, they were getting kicked out, even if I had to ring Kyle and get him to come down and throw them out. To be honest, the customers were pretty go

I could feel every bump in the road, and each time the car went over one my body lifted into the air, making my head smash into the trunk of the car. As if my head didn’t hurt enough from whacking it on the floor in the bar and the punch to my face. If I ever did make it out of the vehicle alive, I bet I’d look like the female version of the elephant man. With my head pounding and ears ringing, I could only make out voices within the car, but I couldn’t work out who was speaking or what they were saying. The car was travelling pretty fast, but I had no idea how long we'd been on the road or where we were heading. I just hoped that Kyle had gotten off of his whore long enough to tell my dad that I was missing. We'd been engaged for a year now and Kyle wasn’t happy about the wait. He'd wanted us to get married shortly after proposing to me, but I refused. I wanted to wait as long as possible, because although I did want to marry him and start our lives together, I didn’t want to lose my

I’d never heard his voice before and although it was drenched in dominance and danger, it was strangely comforting. It shouldn’t have been and I should have been petrified. I mean, I was shackled to an unknown Alpha’s bed and completely at the beast’s mercy, for Christ’s sake But my body was inexplicably drawn to him, nonetheless. I couldn’t believe that my head and my body were in a deadlocked fight against each other. I had no idea what my body was doing. I had no control over it. He was controlling me somehow. There was no way the pleasurable thoughts I had about him choking me were real. They couldn’t be. I thought about how they could have drugged me while I was knocked out. Or how I remembered them talking about witches earlier. Maybe it had something to do with that? Either way, I needed to pull myself together. His hand slid down from my face and rested on my neck for a while and didn’t flinch. I could, however, hear that his deep and laboured breaths were coming closer to me.

Carina peered at me like I’d lost my mind and it made her incredibly uncomfortable. She shifted around in her seat and looked as if she wanted to run away from the situation, like an animal ready to bolt down a hole to escape a predator. I needed to calm her down and make her feel safe in my company, let her know that whatever she said wouldn’t leave the room. I sat back and relaxed my posture, but it didn’t ease the tension. I decided that I needed to make myself more vulnerable than she felt and I had the perfect plan.“Carina?” She glanced up at me, clearly nervous with what I was about to ask her. “Would you possibly be able to run me a bath please?”Her eyes widened then smiled when she released the gulp of air she'd been holding in.“Of course, Aubrey. I’ll do that right away.”She practically jumped out of her chair and scurried off and into the bathroom. I could hear her turning on the taps and opening bottles and it made me curious to see what she was doing, so I stood up and

My eyes sprang open at his honesty and his words made my heart melt a little. Although while gazing at him, I realized that he wasn’t actually talking to me. Or if he was, he wasn’t addressing me directly.“But being a typical guy, I didn’t even bother to think of you or your feelings. I just assumed you'd want me because I’m an Alpha. Fucking idiot!”While he was having an argument with himself over by the window, I'd managed to wash and condition my hair, wash my body and even get out of the bath.“I didn’t even bother to find out if you had a boyfriend or a life you needed to get back to. I just thought you’d be happy to stay here with me. What is wrong with me?”“There is nothing wrong with you!” I shouted out, loud enough for him to hopefully hear me over his ranting. He paused while peering out of the window. “And I do want to stay here with you, as mad as that sounds...” I paused, then replied in a lower and slightly hesitant voice, “...if you’ll have me, that is.”“What?! Real

While laying there, coming down from my orgasm, Jesse kept to his word. He laid beside me and swept his hand gently up and down my back. He applied just enough pressure for it not to tickle me. Occasionally, he would kiss my neck and back, and it helped me ride through my climax nicely. Once my breathing had calmed down a little, he got off of the bed, and I could hear him removing his clothes. I wished that I wasn’t wearing this damn blindfold. I wanted to see him in all his glory. I heard a belt clink, then snap, and it made me jump. I hoped to God he didn’t whip me with it, but that is exactly what he did.I moaned out in pain—that one stung a little more than I liked and I whined when the agony didn’t ease. It wasn’t like the hand slap, and it wasn’t easing into pleasure. I was about to say something, but he turned on the vibrating butt bullet and as it made my ass jiggle, the soreness in my ass cheek subsided. He climbed on top of me and yanked my hair back again, making me groan

Agreeing to marry a complete stranger was madness, but I couldn’t deny how much of a connection we had. I also found it amazing that he didn’t want to murder my father and he seemed to want to make me happy. The fact that he was gorgeous and a successful businessman didn’t hurt either. I stood there, gazing into his deep green eyes and my heart sank when his grin began to fade. My mom cleared her throat, and I realized instantly that I’d been standing there silent for way longer than I should have been.“Yes, Jesse. It would be my honor to marry you.”As soon as the words left my lips, he shot up and scooped me into his arms. He squeezed me a little too hard and I coughed as my air supply was being cut off. He lowered me to the ground and quickly apologized,“I'm so sorry, Darlin'. I don’t realize my own strength, sometimes.”He rubbed the back of his neck and his cheeks turned a cute pink color. He was the most adorable man I’d ever met and I had a feeling that our marriage– even tho

I sat on the porch wearing my fluffy socks, fleece pyjamas, gloves, hat and a super soft grey blanket that I'd wrapped around me. Our beautiful winter was in full swing and Christmas was only a few days away. I had my hands around a large mug of coffee and took occasional sips as I gazed out over our immense snow-covered yard. Chase and Jesse, we're in the middle of a snowball fight with the kids and usually I would be joining right in with the festive fun, but being heavily pregnant meant lots of rest and sitting on my ass. I didn't mind though, I'd so can't the last few winters making snow angels and building snow men with the boys. So, it wasn't like I hadn't mad memories with them in their five years on this earth. We’d been through a lot, but life had been pretty perfect. Our relationship was sealed when I had the twins and even though we didn't know which kid belonged to who, Chase and Jesse didn't care and neither did I. We were a family and that's all that mattered. All the pa

The guys continued their game and every time I guessed the wrong guys touching or kissing my body, I was punished. From being whipped, slapped, and bitten, but how sexually aroused I was they didn't seem all that much like punishments. I didn't know if it was the heat or the fact that Jesse's sexual preferences had finally rubbed off on me. I was drenching the bed by this point and a knot had formed in my stomach from the insatiable need for them to ravish me. The treats I got for guessing correctly went from a kiss, to full on licking me out and even though I came a few times, I still needed more. I wanted them inside of me. My body wanted their seed. Chase was currently licking and gently hitting the inside of my thighs. My legs were shaking uncontrollably and I knew my body had gotten to the stage that it couldn't take the teasing any longer, so I begged Chase.“Please! Fuck me!” My words were released on the end of deep breaths and those were the only words I could manage to get o

I’d been visiting Chase and Jesse at the medical centre where they’d been kept for a few days. When I first saw them, I was in complete shock. They were black and blue, and their faces were so swollen that I couldn’t even tell who was who. Fast healing was one of the things I definitely appreciated about our breed and with them being Sentinels, they healed even faster. Today was the day that they were both due to come home and I’d worked my ass off all morning making the house perfect for their return. I wanted them to come home and us get straight on with the mating ritual, because my heat was in full swing, but the packs needed to see them too. So, I let them organise a party for them. Of course, I couldn’t attend because of my excessive pheromone production. They had been under sedation when I visited them, and we made sure no male doctors or staff were around during my visits. We sorted it out that they would have the party at my parent’s pack house rather than ours, so I just had

I was thrown onto the bed and I still didn't have a clue who was with me. I prayed to God that it was Chase and Jesse, and that my what was in full swing so I wouldn't go bat shit crazy on them and literally bite their heads off like a praying mantis. I couldn't understand why we couldn't catch a break. If the universe or fates or whoever wanted us three to be mated together and be strong Sentinels, then why the fuck were they ripping out lives apart now? Maybe it was a test to see if we deserved to have this life and be together? It didn't matter, I was fed-the-fuck-up of dealing with all this shit. I just wanted an easy and calm life. Was that too much to ask for?Whoever had thrown me on the bed placed his hands either side of my legs and leaned over me, sniffing my hair and my face. His warm breath on my cheek made my skin crawl, and that was when I knew it wasn't Chase or Jesse. I had to think fast before they had their way with me. I could feel my Sentinel powers tingling in my

I yanked my hands away from the guys and just managed to jump out of my chair and dive across the room as the wild men launched themselves at me. They weren't themselves any more, their feral instincts had taken over them. I'd seen it once before my cousin was at our house for dinner with her new mate and he ripped the whole dining room apart trying to get to her. I was only a young teenager and it scared the crap out of me. When I bonded with Chase and Jesse, I never thought about coming into heat, especially not this soon. Usually, it takes around six months, but I forget that the women in our family come into heat early. Although, never this soon. It's been less than twenty-four hours for Christ’s sake, I haven't been able to enjoy them as the men I love.“Mom! I'm in heat! Help!”While mind linking my mom, I sprinted toward the basement door. Every pack house has a safe room and ours has a nesting room. We had it set up the way me and Jesse wanted it, bit I wasn't expecting to use

  • Chased By The Light   Chapter Thirty-One

I’d managed to fall asleep somehow. How I did with all that anxiety and embarrassment running through me, I don’t know. When I finally awoke the sun was rising in the sky. I could smell the morning dew and hear the birds chattering outside. Their songs were sweet, some what enthusiastic and it bought a smile to my face. But the smile was short lived. As soon as I remembered our naked escapades, the embarrassment took over again. I wondered if everyone had left. Well, I hoped they had. I couldn’t bare to face my family or the packs this morning. I dragged myself out of bed and went to the bathroom to get ready for the day. Once back in my room, I didn’t feel like getting dressed properly so just pulled on some boyfriend style panties, then tugged on a pair of black three-quarter length leggings and a gray tank top. I finished the look with an over sized gray cardigan and a messy wet bun on top of my head.I could have easily of jumped back into bed and slept the day away, but something

Chase and I kept running through the trees like giddy fawns. We couldn’t believe how lucky we'd been. Irene turning up, right when we were trying to escape seemed like fate had planned it all out for us. It felt great knowing we had a higher power on our side. Sure, I knew that if Irene and her brothers survived the Soulderians, they'd hunt down Chase. She won’t let him go that easy. I mean if she was willing to sacrifice her life by fighting the black witches, there was nothing that could stop her from getting Chase back. The triplets had been running from the Soulderians all their life, so risking her own life and her brothers meant that she did Love Chase, in her own murderous and twisted way.If it went the other way and the triplets lost, I would be next on the Soulderians list and if they managed to extract the Titagel’s powers, I doubted that we stood much chance against them. They were power-hungry and beneath Irene and her brothers, I was classed as the next most powerful bei

I didn’t sleep well at all. The stone floor made places hurt that I didn’t even know I had. But when I opened my eyes and saw my crazy bearded soul mate, my pain didn’t matter any more. All that mattered to me, was getting us out of there. I sat up and stretched. My aching bones clicked and cracked and it felt good. My noise made Chase wake up.“Morning, babe,” he said sleepily.“Morning.”I knew he'd only just opened his eyes, but I needed answers and wanted to go over some ideas on how we could escape.“How do you remember me?”“Irene cast a spell so I could remember her, but it let me remember everything.” He sat up and stretched his legs out. With his back pressed up against the wall he continued, “I had to pretend that I loved her. She was highly jealous and killed any girl that showed interest in me.”“Oh God, Chase. I am so sorry you had to go through that.”“Well, it is what it is.” He turned his body to face me and pulled his knees up and wrapped his arms around them. I faced

I could hear my heartbeat pounding in my ears, everything seemed to slow down and Shana's screams became deep and dragged out. I knew I had to do something but I had no idea what. Without even thinking about it, I ripped my hands away from my eyes and screeched into the air,“Stop!”Shana's screams ceased and all the cloaked men turned to face me. I glanced down at my hands and they had a glowing gold aura around them. Two of the men whispered to someone in a red cloak.“She's a Sentinel,” one said.“I thought they were a myth,” the other added. The red-cloaked man raised his hand to silence them, then approached me. When he reached me, he grabbed my face and turned my head from side to side, then stared into my eyes like he was looking for something.“Curious. You’re a very rare being, do you know that?”I yank my face out of his grip and slap his hand away from me. In a split second, he holds his hands up and red lighting shoots out of them sliding around my wrists and ankles like a
