I sat on the porch wearing my fluffy socks, fleece pyjamas, gloves, hat and a super soft grey blanket that I'd wrapped around me. Our beautiful winter was in full swing and Christmas was only a few days away. I had my hands around a large mug of coffee and took occasional sips as I gazed out over our immense snow-covered yard. Chase and Jesse, we're in the middle of a snowball fight with the kids and usually I would be joining right in with the festive fun, but being heavily pregnant meant lots of rest and sitting on my ass. I didn't mind though, I'd so can't the last few winters making snow angels and building snow men with the boys. So, it wasn't like I hadn't mad memories with them in their five years on this earth.

We’d been through a lot, but life had been pretty perfect. Our relationship was sealed when I had the twins and even though we didn't know which kid belonged to who, Chase and Jesse didn't care and neither did I. We were a family and that's all that mattered. All the pa

“Aubrey? Are you almost ready, Kiddo?" My dad called up the stairs. I stood in the room with my suitcase beside me, looking around at the now bare space that I'd called my haven for eighteen years. I’d really miss this place. I let out a low sigh as I took one last look at my bedroom. With my hand on the doorframe, I shouted, "Yeah Dad, I'm coming." I picked up my suitcase and mentally said goodbye to my old room, life, and Aubrey. I then strutted out of the door, more than ready to start my new chapter. I decided to leave my old existence behind me and start again as a new and improved version of myself. The college I'd chosen was out of state, and I couldn’t be happier that my best friend Payton would be the only one there who knew me. Which meant I could be whoever I wanted to be. I could finally leave the mess that had become my life behind me, and I was determined to never let anyone hurt me again. My plan was to study hard and play hard. I refused to let stupid feelings get

After hours of driving, we pulled into the Murston campus, and my dad parked the car. "Are you ready for this, Brie?""I'm more than ready, Dad. I can't wait to get started on my new journey," I replied as I looked out of the car. The campus was huge, filled with excited students and their families. They were all either moving in, greeting their friends, or saying goodbye to their loved ones.I spotted Payton hugging her mom and dad. I guessed she'd arrived a while ago because all her stuff was already gone. I stayed in the car for a bit while she said goodbye to her family, not wanting to intrude while they had their moment. Once her parents had disappeared back into their car, I watched as she waved goodbye, before wiping her tears away.My dad got out of the car and had started removing my stuff from the trunk, laying it on the grass bank. Payton saw my dad and immediately ran towards us. I got out of the car and while waiting for her to reach us,

“Are you going to help me unpack your stuff? Or are you just gonna lay there all day like a sack of potatoes?" Payton asked sarcastically while opening my suitcase."I would help, but we both know that you’ve already mapped out where all my stuff is going, and if I put it in the wrong place, or don't fold it the right way, you'll lose your shit." I rolled over on the bed, staring at the ceiling like it had all the answers."Ugh, fine. But at least tell me what happened to make you so flustered earlier. I'm bored of the silence," she whined while unfolding and then refolding my pajamas. I sat up on the bed and crossed my legs as I prepared to tell her what had happened.Taking in a deep breath, I held it for a minute before I began. "Well, I ran to try and catch up with you and my dad, but as I turned the corner, I smashed right into some guy that lives in the room next door.""Wait. Which direction was the room? Up or down?" she asked wh

When we reached the cafeteria, the place was packed. After getting our food we managed to grab a table that some other students had just left. We sat down and Payton introduced me to the girls. Erika was a slim, pretty girl with blue eyes, auburn hair and cute freckles sprinkled all over her nose. Gemma was also slim, with brown eyes. She had short hair, dyed bright white with a slight pink hue."So, Payton says that you were captain of your cheerleading squad. Are you going to try out for the team here?" Gemma asked as she bit into her pizza."Um, I haven't decided yet. To be honest, as much as I loved it, I'm trying to get away from that whole scene. I think I'm just going to concentrate on my studies, and have some fun," I replied while stabbing my fork into my fries."Aww, that's a shame. We're going to try out, you should come with us," Erika suggested.I glanced over to Payton, but she kept her eyes down while she poked her salad. A few seconds late

“Um, excuse me, but what are you doing in here?" I asked, my voice shrill even with the water running.I held the shower curtain to my chest and then poked my head out. I glared at him waiting for an answer, but he just stared back, his face flushed an interesting pink color. The shampoo on my head ran down my temple onto my cheek, and my bright idea was to blow at it, hoping it went away. Of course, it didn’t, and my gesture blew the bubbles right into my eye."Well?" I snapped, the instant burning in my eyes making me close them in hopes the pain would stop, but more bubbles fell and made it even worse. "God damn it! Hand me that towel, would ya?"I couldn't let go of the shower curtain, so I thought I'd wipe my eyes, put the towel around me, and confront him, which should make him leave. Then, I could finish my shower in peace. He handed me the towel. "Well, you're in the men's showers," he replied in a gentle voice, but I swore I heard hum

Payton stormed over toward me. “What the hell are you doing here? She isn't interested in anything you have to say, so leave!" Payton yelled at Kyle as she pushed me out of the way and slammed the door right in his face. I strolled over to the bed and dropped my towel, put on my bra and thong, and pulled my dress over my head."Fucking nerve of that guy! What is he doing here?" Payton spat."I don't know Payton, but the sooner we get out of here the better," I replied as I began to pull my dress over my tummy.I heard the door open, followed by Kyle's cringe-worthy voice. "Holy cow, I've missed that ass!"I closed my eyes and rolled them behind my eyelids. I promptly pulled the dress over my butt and turned to face him. Before I had a chance to say anything, Payton went crazy on him."Who the hell do you think you are, barging in here uninvited?" She poked him in the chest."Mind your business, Payton, I'm here to see, Brie. This

Chase took out a blue shirt from his closet, threw it on, grabbed his keys and wallet off the table, and then buttoned his shirt, all in the time it took me to stroll from the bed to the door. The guy was super-fast and extremely excited. On my way to the door, he ran in front of me to open it first, then held his hand out for me to exit before him. I gave him a sweet smile and stepped into the hall. My eyes drifted to my door, and a twinge of guilt and worry hit me for what might have happened to Kyle."Don't worry, he's fine. The boys and I just roughed him up a little." Chase placed his hands on my shoulders, spinning me around to face him. "Trust me, he will be fine. He's stronger than he looks. I had one of my boys drive him home, so don't worry. Just forget about him and enjoy tonight."I couldn’t stop it when my eyes drifted to my room again. I didn’t know why I was so worried, especially after what Kyle had done to me, but I could

I couldn't believe my eyes. Chase was hanging on to Bear’s back for dear life, while he thrashed and bucked around like a raging bull trying to throw Chase off. The guy had gone completely insane. One minute, I'm joking around with Bear, and the next, Chase tackled him, sending him hurtling into the food table, smashing the thing to pieces and making all the food fly into the air, like some invisible people’s food fight. Then, as Bear tried to get up, Chase jumped on his back, growling and snapping at his neck like some mad man. I shook my head at them while I watched them wrestling, and I decided right then and there that they were both as bad as each other.Connor and the guys that I'd seen earlier on campus came sprinting into the room, and it took twelve of them to pull the two apart. Chase had two people holding his arms, and one of the poor guys got flung across the room like a rag doll. Six of the others had pinned Bear to the floor and two of them wer

The guys continued their game and every time I guessed the wrong guys touching or kissing my body, I was punished. From being whipped, slapped, and bitten, but how sexually aroused I was they didn't seem all that much like punishments. I didn't know if it was the heat or the fact that Jesse's sexual preferences had finally rubbed off on me. I was drenching the bed by this point and a knot had formed in my stomach from the insatiable need for them to ravish me. The treats I got for guessing correctly went from a kiss, to full on licking me out and even though I came a few times, I still needed more. I wanted them inside of me. My body wanted their seed. Chase was currently licking and gently hitting the inside of my thighs. My legs were shaking uncontrollably and I knew my body had gotten to the stage that it couldn't take the teasing any longer, so I begged Chase.“Please! Fuck me!” My words were released on the end of deep breaths and those were the only words I could manage to get o

I’d been visiting Chase and Jesse at the medical centre where they’d been kept for a few days. When I first saw them, I was in complete shock. They were black and blue, and their faces were so swollen that I couldn’t even tell who was who. Fast healing was one of the things I definitely appreciated about our breed and with them being Sentinels, they healed even faster. Today was the day that they were both due to come home and I’d worked my ass off all morning making the house perfect for their return. I wanted them to come home and us get straight on with the mating ritual, because my heat was in full swing, but the packs needed to see them too. So, I let them organise a party for them. Of course, I couldn’t attend because of my excessive pheromone production. They had been under sedation when I visited them, and we made sure no male doctors or staff were around during my visits. We sorted it out that they would have the party at my parent’s pack house rather than ours, so I just had

I prayed to God that it was Chase and Jesse, and that my what was in full swing so I wouldn't go bat shit crazy on them and literally bite their heads off like a praying mantis. I couldn't understand why we couldn't catch a break. If the universe or fates or whoever wanted us three to be mated together and be strong Sentinels, then why the fuck were they ripping out lives apart now? Maybe it was a test to see if we deserved to have this life and be together? It didn't matter, I was fed-the-fuck-up of dealing with all this shit. I just wanted an easy and calm life. Was that too much to ask for?Whoever had thrown me on the bed placed his hands either side of my legs and leaned over me, sniffing my hair and my face. His warm breath on my cheek made my skin crawl, and that was when I knew it wasn't Chase or Jesse. I had to think fast before they had their way with me. I could feel my Sentinel powers tingling in my

I yanked my hands away from the guys and just managed to jump out of my chair and dive across the room as the wild men launched themselves at me. They weren't themselves any more, their feral instincts had taken over them. I'd seen it once before my cousin was at our house for dinner with her new mate and he ripped the whole dining room apart trying to get to her. I was only a young teenager and it scared the crap out of me. When I bonded with Chase and Jesse, I never thought about coming into heat, especially not this soon. Usually, it takes around six months, but I forget that the women in our family come into heat early. Although, never this soon. It's been less than twenty-four hours for Christ’s sake, I haven't been able to enjoy them as the men I love.“Mom! I'm in heat! Help!”While mind linking my mom, I sprinted toward the basement door. Every pack house has a safe room and ours has a nesting room. We had it set up the way me and Jesse wanted it, bit I wasn't expecting to use

I’d managed to fall asleep somehow. How I did with all that anxiety and embarrassment running through me, I don’t know. When I finally awoke the sun was rising in the sky. I could smell the morning dew and hear the birds chattering outside. Their songs were sweet, some what enthusiastic and it bought a smile to my face. But the smile was short lived. As soon as I remembered our naked escapades, the embarrassment took over again. I wondered if everyone had left. Well, I hoped they had. I couldn’t bare to face my family or the packs this morning. I dragged myself out of bed and went to the bathroom to get ready for the day. Once back in my room, I didn’t feel like getting dressed properly so just pulled on some boyfriend style panties, then tugged on a pair of black three-quarter length leggings and a gray tank top. I finished the look with an over sized gray cardigan and a messy wet bun on top of my head.I could have easily of jumped back into bed and slept the day away, but something

Chase and I kept running through the trees like giddy fawns. We couldn’t believe how lucky we'd been. Irene turning up, right when we were trying to escape seemed like fate had planned it all out for us. It felt great knowing we had a higher power on our side. Sure, I knew that if Irene and her brothers survived the Soulderians, they'd hunt down Chase. She won’t let him go that easy. I mean if she was willing to sacrifice her life by fighting the black witches, there was nothing that could stop her from getting Chase back. The triplets had been running from the Soulderians all their life, so risking her own life and her brothers meant that she did Love Chase, in her own murderous and twisted way.If it went the other way and the triplets lost, I would be next on the Soulderians list and if they managed to extract the Titagel’s powers, I doubted that we stood much chance against them. They were power-hungry and beneath Irene and her brothers, I was classed as the next most powerful bei

I didn’t sleep well at all. The stone floor made places hurt that I didn’t even know I had. But when I opened my eyes and saw my crazy bearded soul mate, my pain didn’t matter any more. All that mattered to me, was getting us out of there. I sat up and stretched. My aching bones clicked and cracked and it felt good. My noise made Chase wake up.“Morning, babe,” he said sleepily.“Morning.”I knew he'd only just opened his eyes, but I needed answers and wanted to go over some ideas on how we could escape.“How do you remember me?”“Irene cast a spell so I could remember her, but it let me remember everything.” He sat up and stretched his legs out. With his back pressed up against the wall he continued, “I had to pretend that I loved her. She was highly jealous and killed any girl that showed interest in me.”“Oh God, Chase. I am so sorry you had to go through that.”“Well, it is what it is.” He turned his body to face me and pulled his knees up and wrapped his arms around them. I faced

I glanced down at my hands and they had a glowing gold aura around them.
