Crazy Proposal

Alex POV

I woke up this morning with my alarm screaming at me. After Elise left last night I called one of my usual hook ups to come over. I needed a great release. I look to the side and see she is still here. What is she still doing here. She should know better than to be here the next morning. I get up and go to the restroom and take care of business. Once I come back out of the bathroom, I see that she is no longer here. Good! I get dressed and head towards the kitchen. When I get to the kitchen I see that Michelle is still here and sitting drinkling coffee like she owns the place. This is just getting out of hand.

"What are you still doing here?" I say

"Babe, I thought we can have breakfast together and maybe a morning pick me up since I know you are going to be out of town this weekend." She says

"How do you know I am going to be out of town this weekend?"

"Your phone had an alert while you where in the bathroom and say a text from your brother-in-law reminding you of your business trip tomorrow. too bad I cant join you, I would have loved to pleasure and help relieve the stress from the business" She responds. Is she crazy? Does she think we are in some kind of relationship? I mean we have been hooking up for about 6 months, but its just that hooking up. She is not even the only one. I have been sleeping with plenty others. She is just the one that responds instead of me going out and finding someone.

"Are you nuts? We are not in a relationship. We hook up and you leave. I dont even know why you stayed last night."

"Oh come on, I know you care for me. I am the only one that answers when you call and the only one that has been with you for the past 6 months. I am starting to fall in love with you and I know you feel the same way" She responds while caressing my arm.

I remove my arms from her hold and looked at her like she was crazy. "No, I dont care for you, I dont love you, You are just a booty call. I will never and dont ever want to be in a relationship with you. I dont do romantic relationships. You knew what this was. We have been friends for a long time Michelle, dont ruin it. If you act this way again this friendship and the sex will be over faster than you can blink an eye. Plus I know that you dont do relationships either. Its one of the reasons we became friends in the first place."

I met Michelle the first year of college. We became friends. She was just like me. She slept around and was not into relationships. Her high school boyfried had cheated on her on her last year of high school. After that, she said she never wanted to be in a relationship. She knew I never wanted to be in a relationship. When we graduated college, we kept in contact but through calls and text. Nothing sexual or anything just the usual, "hey whats up" and such. Well 6 months ago, I was at a bar and I was pretty drunk. I ran into her and she was pretty wasted as well. That night we ended up going to my place just so she didnt have to drive home. Well we ended up sleeping together. We talked and I told her that it didnt mean anything. She said the same. But we decided to just be friends with benefits. Whenever one of us wanted a release we would meet up and have sex and then we would go our seperate ways. I have noticeed that in the last month she has been texting a lot more and I dont respond to everything but I respond sometimes.

"So, you are telling me that I am wasting my time. I thought that you would eventually fall in love with me or at least try. I mean come on, I would be perfect for you. We can get married and we can consolidate our parents businesses. We dont have to be faithful to one another. I will let you keep doing what you are doing and I will continue doing what I do. We can just be married on paper. I will be even willing to give you an heir. So you will still have your freedom and I will have mine. Dont you think that will be an ideal arrangement?" She says. Now I know she is crazy. Especially with her crazy proposal.

"I will never marry someone like you. If I were to ever get married its because for some unknown reason which I highly doubt will happen, is if I actually fell in love. But the only people I love are my family and people I consider family. You are not one of those people that fall into that category. I dont even think we can be friends anymore. So pack up you shit and leave. I dont have time for this drama. This is the reason why I dont do relationships. Now get out!" I say

"Fine but you will regret rejecting me in the future. I will see to it" She says and walks out. Goodbye! Jeez, this is why I never sleep with someone for so long. Yeah I might be heartless but I learned alot living my life the way I do and I should have known better. I drink some coffee and head out to the Ricci's company for our monthly meeting.

Once I arrive, I see my father waiting for me at the entrance where he is talking to Uncle Marco. I know he is not really my uncle but we grew up with him and since he has no siblings and my father has no siblings, well they are like brothers. Always have been. My parents are only children and The Ricci's are also only children. So there are no cousins or aunts or uncles. But, I love Uncle Marco and his wife. They are always there for me whenever I need them. No one knew about my short term relationship with Bella except for my sister. Thats only because Bella told her. I wish she hadnt though. I think my sister sees me diffrent ever since she found out. She hates that I sleep around. Of course she would, she meet her fiance her last year of high school and have been together ever since.

"Good Morning Dad, Uncle Marco. How are you guys doing today?" I greet them and give them both a hug.

" We are doing fine. You ready to go in, If I know my daughter she must already be in the conference room waiting." He says with a smile on his face. You can see the pride in his eyes as he talks about his daughter.

"Is she doing okay? I was worried after your call last night. I thought she might not come in today." My dad ask. I wonder if they are talking about the bastard that cheated on her.

"She is doing fine, I dont think she loved him. I think she was just going through the motions with him. I feel like she doesnt want to be in a relationship and was dating him to keep her mother off her back. She is always so focused on the business. I also feel like something happened to her before she went to University. She had plansa for the summer after graduationg high school but those plans changed right after graduation. She usually tells us everything, but that summer she really didnt speak much and stayed in for most of the summer. She only went out with Elise. But she is a trooper. She is going to take this company to new heights." Her dad says.

For some reason that caused me to feel some guilt. I remember her saying that she wanted to travel before college started and we had made plans. But I though she still did the plans just not with me. That sort of hit me. She never said anything when I would see her around on campus. I thought we could remain best friends, but I did kind of abandoned her to go out and party more. I even moved into campus 2 weeks after graduation to start living my free life.

"Bella is so smart and driven. The man that finally catches her attention will be a lucky guy. She reminds me of our wives. Caring, supportive, loving, a good cook, and incredibly genius. I think you should let her be. Her time will come. At least she isnt sleeping around or dating playboys. I would love to see that man that cheated on her and show him a piece of my mind and fist." My dad responds. He love Bella. Of course, she is his Godchild. He has always been very protective of her.

We walk to the elevator and go up to the conference room. When we walk in, Bella is already there with a smile on her face as soon as she sees our fathers.

"Dad, how are you" She walks over and gives her father a hug. "Uncle Marco, I have missed you!" She goes to him and gives him a hug as well while my dad kisses her forehead.

"Hi Princess" her dad responds

"Hello baby girl, I have missed you too! Are you okay? Your dad told me about that idiot Matteo. Let us know and your dad and I can take care of him" my dad says.

She laughs and responds "He is not even worth it. But thank you guys for always being my protectors. I love you both." She finally turns and sees me as I am walking in.

"Hello Bells" I say to her and smile. She smiles back as she is walking to her seat and says "Hey Alex, should we get started."

Everyone takes their seat and our meeting begins. the whole time I cant keep my eyes of her. She looks beautiful. She also doesnt seem really affected by what happened last night. Is she really okay with it being over or is it just a facade. She is acting the same she acted when we finally saw each other after the breakup. The meeting doesnt take long and after an hour we finished.

As we are getting ready to get up her father says "Are you still going on your trip tomorrow?"

"Yes, but I am going with Elise instead of Matteo." She says matter of fact.

"Yes, Elise told me this morning on the phone about your plans. I am glad that you guys are going to have the guys there. I feel better knowing that you will be safe." My dad says.

"Yes, we will meet up with you guys at 7 at your hotel to pick you guys up on Saturday. I actually think we are staying in the same hotel so if wont be so bad. It will be nice to spend sometime together like when we were younger." I say

"Yeah that would be fine. See you guys later." She responds and walks out after hugging our fathers.

“Ok guys, I am heading out too. I have a flight to catch later. Dad, I will let you know how the meeting goes tomorrow night.” I say.

“Ok, can you please make sure the girls are fine. I know you want to do your own things but please make sure your sister and Bella are safe” my dad says

“ Yes son, please do that. I really worry about her.” Her dad says.

“Of course!”

I leave the conference room and head out to pack my bags and get to our private jet. This weekend should be interesting.
