Chapter Ninety Nine

[Eight Months Later...]

"Do you take this woman as your other half in richer or poorer, in sickness or in health, 'til death do you part?"

"I do." Lorcan responded to the priest, it sent sparks to me. My lips curled up for a smile, he stared at my face filled with joyous tears.

"Do you take this man as your other half in richer or poorer, in sickness or in health, 'til death do you part?" It was my turn to answer.

With a nod, i say, "I do, father."

"Well then, before you seal it... is there anyone to oppose?" Fr. Morris acknowledged with a meaningful tone, making the guests react.

"To hell with that." But Lorcan being Lorcan, the guests' reactions were epic as he impulsively removed my veil and cupped my face to seal my lips with a kiss.

It was a deep, swift kind of kiss. When he released me, i ended up chuckling. He remained serious though.
