But then the door opened and Adrian strode in, his eyes haunted. He stopped the moment he saw me and scanned me from head to toe. "I thought you'd left." He said, his tone strained. "Yes, come in. Great manners for knocking." Dagon snapped at him. He ignored her and walked into the room further. "I was just out in the forest. With Dracula and Warrior." I responded.

Adrian's eyes widened and I saw the carnal fear in his voice. "Without any guards?" He asked.

I hesitated. Maybe that was a bit stupid.

"Yes.. I'm sorry." I apologised. Adrian strode to me and stood right in front of me. I looked up at him and he looked down at me with dark eyes. His cold hand cupped my cheek. "You can't just do that. I'm sorry for what I said to you, but you can't just leave. It puts me into a state of absolute panic. I had the whole castle looking for you." He calmly said.

I swallowed heavily. Running away was always my solution to problems. I wanted to avoid confrontation and wanted time for myself.
