Chapter 188: Surprise

There was air coming in my lungs. My stomach was gurgling with hunger and my throat was paper dry.

Opening my eyes slowly, I found myself lying on a bed. I looked around and realised I was in Adrian's room. The room was dark and sad and there was a feeling of death here. Which was me, of course.

I was dead 10 seconds ago. My body felt like it, too.

The room was empty and with a lot of effort and body pain, I managed to sit on the edge of the bed. On the nightstand, a few bottles of whiskey stood. Something cold touched my chest.

I was all bandaged up and wore a white, wide hospital-like gown. But underneath... "Oh my God." I whispered as my fingers found Adrian's blue diamond necklace. It was around my neck. The blue diamond bracelet was still around my wrist.

The door opened softly and I saw Guela stepping in, her eyes on the floor. Dried tears were on her cheeks and she had flowers in her hands. She walked in and didn't look at me, she avoided the bed all together.
