~ALEXIS~
"We're home!" I said as I thee my bag to one corner. My mum saw me immediately and she shot a glare at me, making me go back to pick it up and hang it on the wall.
"Good afternoon Mrs Thomson." Saffron who had made it a ritual to follow me home after school greeted my mum.
"Why good afternoon Saffy." My mum who was always so nice to my friends replied her.
"Your house smells delicious." Saffron complimented as she took a long sniff of the air.
"Thank you. I'm making peach pie." My mum giggled as she headed back to the kitchen, tying her apron around her body.
"Okay is your brother home?" Saffron swiftly turned to me.
"How am I supposed to know, I just got here."
"Never mind, I'll go look for him, hopefully he'd be in the shower." She winked at me as she climbed up to my room.
"Saffron!" I shrieked in disgust, pretending to gag. Asides having to eat free lunch at my place, Saffron always looked forward to seeing my older brother, Samson. Unfortunately for me, I have to watch them flirt openly. Not like they were even dating.
Shaking my head, along with the thought of Samson and Saffron together, I made way to my room. All I wanted at that moment was to lay in bed and pick up my sketch pad and a pencil and listen to Joshua Wells as I draw whatever that comes to my head.
Immediately I entered my room, I took off my clothes and slipped into my father's, then threw myself on my bed. I reached for my phone and earpiece, only for me to freeze.
My phone.
"Shit, shit..." I began to mumble as realization dawned on me. Saffron swapped our phones. She swapped me and the jerks phone. A part of me didn't want to believe she did it deliberately, but it was something she could do.
I wanted to look for her and yell at her but I decided against it when I figured I could meet her in a...compromising situation with my brother. It was something I would never unsee if I mistakenly saw it.
Then it rang.
Out of instincts, I grabbed it and picked the call. "Who is this?" I said in a monotone voice.
"Give me back my damn phone!" I flinched at the way the voice shouted.
"I didn't steal it, you have mine." I rolled my eyes, recognizing the voice immediately.
"I don't have time for your stupid games. I need that phone." He said.
"You have no right to speak rudely to me. I can drop the phone in water you know." I frowned.
"Stop being such a princess, it's water proof." He said.
"Exactly my point." I stated and he paused, he was probably about to explode, already tired of me and I enjoyed it.
"If you drop my phone in a toilet..."
"What will you do?" I threatened more. He went silent for a moment and I patiently waited for him to speak.
"How about this, we meet up at school in fifteen minutes and you hand it over, or I'll call the cops." He said and I almost laughed.
"Stop being such a princess." I scoffed.
"Do not call me that." He warned.
"I'll give it to you tomorrow." I stated and he groaned.
"No way, I need it today." He argued.
"I do not care, you have my phone, I have yours and I'm not leaving my house to meet with a stranger in an empty school." I said to him.
"I am not going to kill you. Well not yet." He told me and I rolled my eyes.
"Princess, you can have your phone back tomorrow, case closed." I finalized and cut the call.
It was a terrible idea, I couldn't live without my phone, it was half my life but at the same time, I couldn't go to my school, to meet some random guy I don't know. What if he wanted to kill me or sell me or drug me, then sell? I couldn't risk it.
I shoved the strange device into my drawer and left my room to yell at Saffron about swapping my phone.
~JOSHUA~
"How much I want to strangle her!" I growled after she cut the call. She was the most annoying, frustrating person in the world.
"What happened." My cousin Dave asked.
"It's this studio girl I bumped into. She had my phone and is being a bitch about it." I said, my anger not finding a reason to subside.
"Your first day and you're making enemies?" He laughed.
"It's not funny. I'm supposed to keep a low profile." I glared at him.
"I'm not the one still in high school as a superstar." Face raised his hands in defense.
"Whatever." I rolled my eyes.
"Why again did you leave L.A?" He asked and I groaned.
"I've explained it to you like a billion times." I told him, slouching on my rotating chair.
"I still believe your reason is completely stupid."
"It's not stupid if people in form of paparazzi is after you so much they even want to kill you. I mean who would home school a 19 year old?" I sighed out.
"And coming to Ireland will reduce it? Eventually someone will figure you're wearing a wig and contact lens." He said.
"If you don't snitch, no one will. I made it through today." I supported myself.
"According to the principal, you gained so many attention. From girls. You sure about staying here?"
"It'll die down eventually." I shrugged.
"Okay, just know you're paying rent." He said and walked away.
"Yeah! Extort money from the rich kid!" I shouted at him.
"You're not kid, you're almost 20!" He shouted back.
~ALEXIS~"Lexi is there a day you're never late?" Saffron drew me closer to her, with her hand around my shoulder."Considering you're here with me, I'll assume you're late too." I told her."I have free period." She sand and I rolled my eyes."Oh is that so?" We both froze at the sound of the voice."Morning Mr. Jason." Saffron smirked at our geography teacher. Another hot guy she crashed on. He seemed like a nerd to me though."I couldn't help but hear you say you had free period." He said and she laughed nervously."Oh it's nothing really." She wa
~ALEXIS~"God I hate him." I shouted out and Saffron laughed. She handed me the sandwich she just prepared and I collected it, murmuring a thank you to her. I had just left detention about 30 minutes ago and I decided to go straight to her house. My mouthed would kill me if she figured I got detained. So Saffron as a good friend she was, covered for me, although I doubted it would last."Doesn't change the fact he's cute." She wiggles her brows and I frowned at her."Admit it, you know I'm right." She persuaded but I rolled my eyes and went on with eating my lunch, seated comfortably on her counter."Dave is coming soon." She announced and I groaned out.
~ALEXIS ~"Dude! Ali died?!" Joshua shouted and I groaned out."Will you shut up?!" I said back but he pretended not to hear me."Why would he die?!" He kept on yapping, making it almost impossible to hear the movie. We had spent more than an hour watching Korean drama and he never stopped talking, dropping a comment on every word the actors or actresses made.Saffron and Dave came back to us few minutes into the series. They found their way to entangle themselves at one corner on a chair, while I and Joshua sat at different sides of the couch. I for one made sure not to even look at them. One time, I accidentally turned to glance at them and caught them giving a live smooch and I couldn
~ALEXIS ~"You're early? That's impossible." I rolled my eyes when I recognized the voice."Good morning." I greeted Saffron."How was your night?" She giggled."Cold, with no one to cuddle." I said in disappointment. "Saffy, I love you, but never, ever tell me to stay in the same place you're going to be with another guy okay?!" I cried out and she laughed."You weren't alone. You had Joshua." She smiled and I almost slapped her head but glared instead."You left me with someone who you knew I hated. No friend does that." I told her. "Besides, you're unusually smiling this morning, what happened?" I turned to give her a questioning look."Well..let's just say my night was not cold." Her smile got brighter as she spoke."Did you two..." I trailed off."Chill no." She laughed again and I sighed, grateful th
"Alexis! I am not going to drop you off if you miss the bus." My mum shouted from downstairs. With a loud groan, I finally left my bed and stopped the DVD playing Got you by Joshua Wells, the most famous, rich and most amazing musician of all time. Well that's what I believe, still counts.I'm his literal biggest fan, I have all his albums, covers, singles and features, every single one. And I am proud to say I know all by heart. I even have paintings and drawings of him on my wall, done by yours truly, me. It's fine to call me creepy, it's acceptable, as long as you don't spoil my music or shame it's artist.I picked up my backpack, raised two fingers to my lips, kissed them and transferred it to my favorite painting on my room's door, finally leaving my room to head for school.
