~ALEXIS ~
"Dude! Ali died?!" Joshua shouted and I groaned out.
"Will you shut up?!" I said back but he pretended not to hear me.
"Why would he die?!" He kept on yapping, making it almost impossible to hear the movie.
We had spent more than an hour watching Korean drama and he never stopped talking, dropping a comment on every word the actors or actresses made.
Saffron and Dave came back to us few minutes into the series. They found their way to entangle themselves at one corner on a chair, while I and Joshua sat at different sides of the couch. I for one made sure not to even look at them. One time, I accidentally turned to glance at them and caught them giving a live smooch and I couldn't help but turn my face in disgust.
"I hope that bastard backstabber dies pathetically, he deserves it." Joshua grumbled and I rolled my eyes.
"You're officially the worst person to watch a movie with." I got up from where I sat, already tired of his rants. I headed straight for the kitchen. When I got there, I opened the fridge to find something to eat or drink.
"You're a foodie aren't you?" I almost wanted to scream when I heard his voice.
I didn't turn to look at him, just continued my quest to find food. His face was annoying, along with his personality. How his mother didn't drop him off at an orphanage still surprised me.
Sighing out, I closed the fridge since I didn't find anything edible. Saffron said her mother and brother had to visit their grandma because she fell ill. Giving Saffron the chance to eat how ever she wants. She finished the entire thing in the fridge.
I turned around to finally face Joshua, then I yelped out when I saw a figure standing few inches away from me.
"What're you doing?" I asked.
"If I hadn't stepped backwards, you would've bumped into me again." His thick British kind of accent said to me and I shut a glare up at him.
"What the hell are you talking about. I was just..." I began to oppose but paused. "You know what, never mind, arguing with you is useless." I waved my hands in the air, shoving past him to give us some space.
"What about to your movie?" I asked him, opening cabinets in the kitchen hoping to find something.
"It got uncomfortable, they both began making sounds that could give nightmares." He said and I laughed.
"Welcome to my world." I smiled more happy that I found a cereal box. "Hungry?" I asked him, shaking the box to confirm it had something in it.
"Duh." He replied.
^*^*^*^*
"Tell me you're lying?" Joshua said with a straight face.
"I'm not. I hate them." I confessed further.
"Who in this world would hate butterflies, they do nothing wrong." He looked at me in disbelief.
"Well I do. Live with it." I replied.
"Why?"
"I was like seven, I was chasing after one and out of no where, it entered my mouth and I choked on a butterfly." I explained to him. He kept quiet for a moment and I watched the look on his face transform into an amused one, till he burst into laughter.
"You ate a butterfly!" He laughed out and I rolled my eyes.
Of course he would be a child about it.
"I hope you choke on that laughter and die." I said more to myself then anyone else.
We were both stuck in the kitchen, talking. The rain refused to stop and the couple in the parlor didn't make life easier. Eventually, we found a way to bring up a conversation that would make us both life.
"Alright butterfly. Your turn." He said, finally deciding to stop laughing.
"Don't call me that." I said sternly.
"Now I will." He replied with a smirk and I rolled my eyes. It already even began to hurt, because when it came to him, everything he did deserved an eye roll.
"What's your biggest fear?" I asked. He looked up at me, taking his time to think of an answer and I waited, patiently tapping my fingers on the floor we both were seated on.
"Well," he began. "I'll say being booed by a crowd." He replied.
"Why would a crowd want to boo at you?" I asked in amusement.
"I don't know, it just scares me I guess." He shrugged.
"That's the lamest type of fear I've ever heard." I confessed truthfully with a nod.
"It's better than butterfly." He said.
"Right, you're go'n make me regret telling you, I know." I sighed and he shakes his head.
"What me? No, of course not." He said, dramatically placing a hand on his chest. "I would not rub it on your face that you're scared of butterflies. Only a monster would do that." He ended up laughing at his own words.
"This is why we're not friends." I said plainly.
"Of course were friends. I mean we spent an hour watching a movie together, we spent another thirty minutes talking and mostly laughing at you. That's what friends do." He said teasingly.
"You bumped into me, rudely spoke to me, got me in detention and also got my phone seized." I stated out.
"Oh, let's not dwell in the past." He wiggles his brows at me.
"We're not friends. Whatever started here, ends here. Tomorrow, we continue to plan how we would love to watch the enemy die. Deal?" I asked stretching fort my hand for a shake.
"As long as you die and I don't, deal." He replied, collecting my hand and shaking it.
"See you in school princess." I said with a smirk.
"Don't be stupid. I thought we were over that name?" He frowned.
"I'll stop if you stop calling me butterfly." I told him.
"Never." He cut in.
"So be it. Princess Joshua of Avalor." I said and he slapped my arm.
"Didn't you say your mum was coming to pick you up?" He reminded.
"Oh, yes, she'll be here any minute from now." I stared at the clock on the wall then back at him.
"Now let's go pour water on those two who made life hell for us." He concluded as we got up, heading towards the sink.
~ALEXIS ~"You're early? That's impossible." I rolled my eyes when I recognized the voice."Good morning." I greeted Saffron."How was your night?" She giggled."Cold, with no one to cuddle." I said in disappointment. "Saffy, I love you, but never, ever tell me to stay in the same place you're going to be with another guy okay?!" I cried out and she laughed."You weren't alone. You had Joshua." She smiled and I almost slapped her head but glared instead."You left me with someone who you knew I hated. No friend does that." I told her. "Besides, you're unusually smiling this morning, what happened?" I turned to give her a questioning look."Well..let's just say my night was not cold." Her smile got brighter as she spoke."Did you two..." I trailed off."Chill no." She laughed again and I sighed, grateful th
"Alexis! I am not going to drop you off if you miss the bus." My mum shouted from downstairs. With a loud groan, I finally left my bed and stopped the DVD playing Got you by Joshua Wells, the most famous, rich and most amazing musician of all time. Well that's what I believe, still counts.I'm his literal biggest fan, I have all his albums, covers, singles and features, every single one. And I am proud to say I know all by heart. I even have paintings and drawings of him on my wall, done by yours truly, me. It's fine to call me creepy, it's acceptable, as long as you don't spoil my music or shame it's artist.I picked up my backpack, raised two fingers to my lips, kissed them and transferred it to my favorite painting on my room's door, finally leaving my room to head for school.
~ALEXIS~"We're home!" I said as I thee my bag to one corner. My mum saw me immediately and she shot a glare at me, making me go back to pick it up and hang it on the wall."Good afternoon Mrs Thomson." Saffron who had made it a ritual to follow me home after school greeted my mum."Why good afternoon Saffy." My mum who was always so nice to my friends replied her."Your house smells delicious." Saffron complimented as she took a long sniff of the air."Thank you. I'm making peach pie." My mum giggled as she headed back to the kitchen, tying her apron around her body."Okay is your brother home?" Saffron swiftly turned
~ALEXIS~"Lexi is there a day you're never late?" Saffron drew me closer to her, with her hand around my shoulder."Considering you're here with me, I'll assume you're late too." I told her."I have free period." She sand and I rolled my eyes."Oh is that so?" We both froze at the sound of the voice."Morning Mr. Jason." Saffron smirked at our geography teacher. Another hot guy she crashed on. He seemed like a nerd to me though."I couldn't help but hear you say you had free period." He said and she laughed nervously."Oh it's nothing really." She wa
~ALEXIS~"God I hate him." I shouted out and Saffron laughed. She handed me the sandwich she just prepared and I collected it, murmuring a thank you to her. I had just left detention about 30 minutes ago and I decided to go straight to her house. My mouthed would kill me if she figured I got detained. So Saffron as a good friend she was, covered for me, although I doubted it would last."Doesn't change the fact he's cute." She wiggles her brows and I frowned at her."Admit it, you know I'm right." She persuaded but I rolled my eyes and went on with eating my lunch, seated comfortably on her counter."Dave is coming soon." She announced and I groaned out.
