It was days after Rebecca returned back home, she had finally agreed to move in with Eric after giving it enough thought, and she picked today to move her things to his house.

Eric was busy, there was an urgent board meeting so he couldn’t be with her to help her pack her stuff.

Whitney and Ella took a day off work just to help her and she was indeed grateful for the friends she had.

As Whitney carried the last box into the truck, she spotted a teddy bear bulging out, it couldn’t fully enter the carton. She pulled it out and her eyes dimmed the moment she saw it.

She dropped it in the box after a thorough stare at it, and then slowly moved her gaze to Rebecca who was happily chatting with Ella few distance away.

No matter how she tried to understand her friend, she just couldn’t understand her to a point. Rebecca had always reveal her hatred for Axel because of what he did in the past, but why did she still have this teddy with her? Why not thrash it?

She was there when Axel handed the teddy bear to Rebecca years ago. It was Valentine’s Day and Axel had visited the orphanage with his family, he had presented the teddy bear to her with a written note.

Whitney jerked from her thought when she felt a tap on her shoulder. Her head tilted to stare at the person and it was Rebecca.

“Are you okay?” Rebecca had asked when she noticed the look on her face.

“Sure.” She faked a smile.

Rebecca wasn’t satisfied with Whitney’s reply, she could tell something was bothering her but she just didn’t know what it was.

She shrugged her shoulders and decided to let it slide. Sometimes it’s better to let people be, not force them to express themselves.

“So guys…” Rebecca trailed off, not knowing where to begin from.

It was more of a goodbye speech, since she’ll be moving to a place two hours journey from them. But nevertheless, they could visit her anytime they wanted. It was still same city.

“Don’t.” Whitney said firmly, already knowing what Rebecaa was about to say. “It’s not as if you’re traveling out of the state.”

Ella chuckled. “I agree.”

“You always agree to everything.” Rebecca rolled her eyes.

Ella and Whitney burst into laughter.

After exchanging hugs and cheeks kisses, Rebecaa finally left. Ella and Whitney had insisted on going with her, but she declined. Eric told her they were enough workers at the house that would help her arrange her stuff, so there was no need for her to stress her friends.

They arrived the house and the workers were really helpful as Eric had said. Her stuff was arranged in less than an hour and they prepared lunch for her.

She was stressed, so she slept off and when she woke up, it was already evening and Eric was yet to return.

She picked up her phone and saw series of text messages from him promising to be home soon.

A smile found its way to her flawless face. She replied his text and kept her phone, with the intention of returning back to sleep. But a knock on the door paused her plan.

“Come in.” She muttered, hoping whoever it was would hear her.

The door slowly opened and the girl who had introduced herself earlier as her assistant entered the room. A tall lady with short blonde hair. She was pretty, maybe just too pretty to work as Rebecca’s house assistant.

“Ma’am, you have a package waiting for you outside.” Her gentle voice informed.

“Package?” Rebecca was taken aback. “I didn’t order anything.”

“The delivery man called your full details, and no doubt it isn’t a wrong delivery.” Wendy said.

Rebecca’s brows furrowed. She tried to think of the possibility of her friends sending her a package but it was a zero out of hundred because they didn’t know her exact location yet, so there was no way. And she just moved into the house, why would they send her a package so quick, when she left them just few hours ago.

“Why didn’t you collect the package?” She questioned.

She had just woken up and was tired, she definitely wouldn’t give herself more stress by heading outside for an unknown package.

“The delivery guy insisted you receive it in person. I guess it is something important.” Wendy informed.

What she said raised Rebecca’s curiosity. What could the package be about? And who sent it to her?

She wouldn’t know if she sat down on the bed and just think, she had to do something about it.

She stood up, ready to go outside.

“Do you now know who sent it?” Wendy asked in concern.

Rebecca shook her head.

“Then it’s risky for you to go out like that. After what happened on your wedding day, I think you should be more careful.” Wendy advised.

Rebecca could sense the concern in the tone of her voice. What she didn’t know was why the girl was so concerned about her despite meeting her for the first time today.

“I know who sent it, okay?” She needed answers, she wouldn’t let this opportunity slide.

“But you said…”

“I remember now.” She cuts her off, and then went out of the room.

After walking for about seven minutes, she found herself outside the big compound and indeed there was a delivery bike waiting.

She couldn’t see the face of the delivery guy because the black helmet covered his head and his face. No part of his body was visible, his hands were covered with gloves and his black sleeve and pants covered his full body.

“I am Rebecca, where’s the package?” She asked directly.

The delivery guy didn’t say a word to her, he jumped down from the bike and opened the small trunk at the back.

Rebecca watched in anticipation, wondering what the package was.

Her eyes followed his every movement and they twitched when she saw him bring out a bouquet of roses.

He handed it over to her and the lovely smell filled her nostrils as she collected it. Something twisted in her tummy and she just couldn’t believe she was having butterflies when she didn’t even know who sent the flowers yet.

Or could it be Eric? That was the only possible explanation, because her friend didn’t know the address yet.

“Did Eric send you?” She asked, trying so much not to smile yet.

The guy didn’t reply. He closed his trunk and climbed the bike. He ignited the engine and was ready to move any second from now.

He bent his head towards her direction and after a quiet stare, he mumbled to her hearing, “Fuck Eric.”

The bike moved away speedily and Rebecca just stood there, frozen.

For the first time in six years, she was hearing his voice again. Her eyes moved shakily around him. He was no longer the cute young innocent boy she used to know, he had transformed into a dangerous handsome man. He looked dangerous in the black tuxedo. And he had a dark aura around him. He had changed in those years, and she easily noticed it. He took a step forward, and she moved back immediately. She couldn't believe he was the same man she used to love. He was looking so dangerous, and for some reason she was scared. Axel's eyes darkened when he noticed the fear in her eyes. His expression
