Chapter Seventy-Eight

The next day Scar woke up with a determination to get a new job, easy from Seb and anything to do with him.

She already sent her resignation later and was free from him at least that was what she hoped, though she hadn't yet gotten a response which meant he might reject it and she'd have to personally go there which she didn't want to do.

Her morning began with a nice walk, then a lovely shower and a delicious breakfast made by Nat, which she was very appreciative of and currently eating.

"Have I ever told you how much I adore you?" Scar gushed as she ate her food.

Nat, who sat opposite her, just rolled her eyes at her friend's dramatic nature, "Yes, every day of my life."

"Well, you should be told more than that." Scar teased as they both eventually finished their food.

"I'll pass." Nat commented, then proceeded to wash the dishes, "How many responses did you get?" Nat was referring to the job applications Scar sent out last night.

"So far just one, the one where people don't sle
