Chapter Eighty-Five

After dessert, the men were ordered by Mrs. Ashford to do the dishes and it was cute how they didn't bother protesting, it seemed they were afraid of her and never went against her. She was sweet, motherly, and warm but something about her said don't cross her path or be on her bad side, which neither Nat nor Scar were planning on doing.

"I want to have a chat with you two." Mrs. Ashford said getting both girls' attention.

"Sure, we can do that," Scar said, and Seb's Mom motioned for them to follow her to a swing right there in the backyard.

They sat opposite each other, Nat and Scar on one swing and her on another.

They stayed in a comfortable silence for a few seconds before Mrs. Ashford spoke up. "I found out about what my son, " She paused, "My sons rather, did to you and honestly speaking I'm ashamed, I know I raised them better and what they did was uncalled for."
