She looks so tiny in that hospital bed surrounded by wires and machines, her face so swollen that I can barely recognise her. The nurse pulls out a chair for me as she says.“Sir, you can take a seat next to the bed; I’ll be at the desk if you need me,”I nod my head before I ask the nurse.“Can I hold her hand?”She smiles as she replies.&nbs
Butterfly and the CEOChapter 29Ellie’s point of view.I try to open my eyes; why the hell is it so bright? Where am I?I turn my head and cry when I see my Mum. I must have died, and my Mum has come for me. She holds me tight as I cry, singing to me as she runs her fingers through my hair, just like she used to do when I was a child. My Mum died when I was just fourteen leaving my older brother to bring me up, she was my mum and my best friend, and I miss her s

Butterfly and the CEOChapter 31Ellie’s point of view. It’s Friday morning, and Zac and I are waiting in my hospital room for the nurse to bring my discharge papers, so we can finally go home. We decided to go back to Zac’s apartment for a few weeks rather than his house, as there are no stairs once we are inside. There is a knock on the door; as the nurse pops her head around the corner, she smiles as she looks at us both before she says.“Here you go, Ellie; I think that you have everything that you need. I've arranged a follow-up appointment for
