Elena Harper let out a groan as she turned off the alarm clock by her bedside.

"Dude, I need to sleep."

"I'm sorry," she mumbled to her roommate as she grabbed her toothbrush.

Reluctantly, she stood up, her eyes lazily scanning all her roommates still sleeping.

Seven sleeping peaceful souls. Why did she have to attend a private school?

She let out a final groan as she crawled towards the bathroom. Her eyes ran through the huge signage on the bathroom door. AMIGO.

She smiled.

Elena had been living at Amigo for as long as she could remember. Amigo was an orphanage. It was established decades ago by catholic sisters and had been active ever since. Elena hadn't really bothered about how she got to Amigo-her parents were probably dead or didn't want her like every other person at Amigo.

She lived at the female dorm at Amigo for teens. Amigo had different dorms- the ones for the kids and the ones for teens like her.

She loved Amigo. Probably because she had lived her whole life there or because it was just Amigo.

It was really big. Elena had gotten lost around a couple of times when she was younger but always ended up finding her way thanks to the Cathedral right in the middle.

"Good Morning," she said as she got back into the room.

"Hey, Elena."

"Hey."

"You up?"

"Lilyy, did you wear my trainers yesterday?" Elena asked, pulling out her trainers from her wardrobe. She had placed them on her wardrobe and met them inside instead. She had also tied the laces carefully, but they were now carelessly tied.

"Err... Nope."

False.

"Who said that?!" Elena yelled, almost jumping.

"Said what?"

"The false. I mean I heard someone say false," She replied.

"You gotta be hearing things, dude."

No, she wasn't.

"Really? Eh, okay then. Lily you wore my trainers yesterday, right?"

"I didn't."

False.

"Hey y'all!" she yelled, jumping. "Someone keeps on saying false. I'm not kidding this time. I definitely heard a voice."

Lily laughed, getting up from her bed. "It's just in your head. Fine I wore your trainers yesterday, happy? You don't need to act all weird."

True. The voice rang again.

It was crazy. How was it possible she was the only one hearing the voice. Still confused, she picked her hair band, tying her hair up into a ponytail. She looked at the 5ft5 image of her that had refused to grow taller since she clocked sixteen staring back at her from the mirror. She had warm ivory skin with long wavy brown hair with her eyes in a matching brown color. She straightened her stripped uniform skirt as she immediately grabbed her black flats and rushed out of the room.

She hurried downstairs to the dining, her eyes scanning the boys seated. She grunted out in dissatisfaction as she headed out.

"Luke!" Elena called out immediately she spotted him. She walked towards him. He was seated on her favourite chair at AMIGO garden.

"Hey, Amigo princess," he called out on spotting her. He waved, his dark hair getting blown by the wind, moving with his hands.

She rolled her eyes at the nickname. She was nicknamed 'Amigo Princess' since she could remember. Why? Cause ever since she was little she randomly got gifts from outsiders a lot. Thus, she was treated sort of special and even attended a private school, all courtesy of her mystery sponsor.

"Get your butt off my special chair," she scoffed, sitting beside him. "You weren't at the dining, fasting?"

"Wasn't hungry. I thought you went to school without telling me bye," he replied, pulling her cheeks.

True.

"Hey!" she yelled, smacking his hands away, ignoring the voice again. "I've warned you to stop pulling my cheeks and why? Must i? Must I always tell you bye before leaving?"

"The day you go anywhere without telling me 'bye' I'll murder you," he said and from his expression she knew he wasn't kidding.

"Of course," she replied, grinning as she leaned forward to hug him. "Bye!"

"I hate you, ugh," he scoffed, pulling away. "Go away."

False.

Elena laughed at him as she stood up to leave. Luke Williams, or Lucas Williams as he was almost never called was her best friend. Actually, her second best friend though he preferred to be called her 'first best friend' knowing fully well the numbers had nothing to do with his position in her heart. Almost 6ft tall, had neutral skin, dark hair and brown eyes- he was quite handsome and never failed to acknowledge it. He grew up in Amigo too making their friendship close to ten years old.

The school bus' horn greeted her as she got in. Indistinct chattering welcoming her from every corner of the bus. Only less than half of school went with the school bus and she happened to be part of the half though Dawson High school was just a 20mins walking distance from Amigo.

False.

False.

True.

True.

False.

False.

False.

True.

True.

False.

Elena pulled her hair as she groaned the hundredth time. She was definitely going crazy. The voices were in her head and it wasn't helping that she seemed like the only one hearing them. She could already feel eyes on her as she jumped every single time she heard the voice.

False.

She groaned again as she walked to one of the empty seats at the back. She buried her head in her lap, covering her ears with her backpack. She needed to stop hearing those voices.

"Hey, Elena," a voice said to her. She raised her head to meet Ivy standing in front of her. She sat beside her, Elena quickly putting on a smile.

"Oh ,Hi."

She smiled. "You good? You seemed disturbed."

"Nah, I'm good," she replied not too sure of herself.

"Okay then" she said bringing out a textbook. "I'll always be here if you want to talk."

True.

"Uh, Yeah, Sure, Thanks." Elena replied, uncomfortably as the voice rang in her head again.

Ivy Shane was gay and proud. Literally the whole school knew about it. She easily found her way around, plus her elder brother was popular and in his final year.

Elena smiled at her once before shutting her eyes.

The school bus came to an halt as student poured out. Elena hurried down too with Ivy awkwardly beside her.

"Elenaaaaa," her best friend, June Rivers,  yelled on spotting her. She ran towards her, dragging her.

"What were you doing with that weird nerd?" she asked, stealing a glance from Ivy.

"First she's not a weird nerd," Elena replied her, almost laughing. "And second, she's my friend and she's cool at that.

"Whatever. Guess who I saw this morning?"

"Kim SeokJin?"

"Of course not," she said, hitting her head.

True.

Elena bit her lip. Of course, she didn't see SeokJin and that voice just had to ring in her head. True.

"Ah seriously!" Elena yelled out in frustration.

"What?"

"Actually June I... never mind. It's nothing."

Of course, she wouldn't believe it. It sounded too crazy to be true. She wasn't even sure what she was hearing was real.

"Who did you see?" she asked.

"Daniel Normann," She said in a singsong voice watching a blush creep up Elena's cheeks.

True.

Daniel Norman. Elena's crush since 8th grade. Popular, good looks, smart and best friends with the ace of the swimming team, Jordan Richardson.

"This is crazy!"

"What? Seeing Daniel is crazy?"

"No. Of course not," Elena replied, biting her already bruised lips. "Look I want to tell you something. I know it might sound really crazy but-"

"Later, okay?" She cut her off, looking at her wristwatch. "My class starts in less than 30 seconds."

True.

"Oh, yeah, okay."

Elena groaned again.

Bells rung signifying classes were over as she ran out of class. She panted heavily, her brain threatening to explode.

Class was hell. She couldn't concentrate thanks to the 'True' and 'False' that kept on ringing in her head. The teacher must have noticed the glare Elena gave her as everything that seemed to come out of her mouth attracted a 'True' from her head.

"June, I'm going crazyy," Elena whined as she spotted her. She walked over to her, hugging her.

"Aw love, Aren't you crazy?" she said, patting her head.

Elena just groaned again.

"Omg, wait a minute," she said, pulling away from Elena's grip."I see a particular someone."

She winked at Elena as she began walking towards Daniel.

Elena rolled her eyes, wondering what she had in mind. June was crazy and probably the most unpredictable person she knew. One minute she could be quietly reading a book in the library and the next she could be twerking in the hallways.

"Oh, i'm so sorry," June gushed as she purposely bumped into him. She bent over to pick his books as she winked at Elena, signalling to come over.

Elena looked around nervously as June signalled to her to come over. Her feet felt frozen aware of Daniel's gaze on her no thanks to June.

"Me?" she stuttered.

"Of course, you," Jesus, June was yelling. "I'm talking to you! Elena Harper! The prettiest Elena Harper this world has to offer!"

What were we saying on how unpredictable June was?

Elena walked sheepishly, aware of literally everyone in the hallway's gaze on her. She should have gotten used to her best friend's spontaneous behavior but it still surprised her sometimes.

"Hey."

"I'm so sorry," she said, again, handing over his books to him. "Are you new? I don't think I've seen you around."

False.

Elena laughed inside. June had known Daniel for close to 5 years now.

"Oh," he said, the tight corners of his lips curving into a smile. "I'm Daniel Norman."

June pulled Elena close to her. "Oh, Daniel! Nice name. Hello, Daniel. This is my pretty best friend, Elena Harper and i am June Rivers."

False.

Elena groaned internally on hearing the bell ring. Students poured out of classes, probably heading to their next classes. She remained in her seat, picking her books one after the other, almost reading what's on each book before putting it into her backpack. It was a Friday. She had maths for three periods straight- no breaks. She groaned at the thought of it, again. Probably when she was little, she had done something to her maths textbook or her maths teacher to make maths hate her that much. Anyways, the feeling was mutual. Daniel had undeniably helped. At least some formulas came to her head quite easier and some numbers finally decided to dance in a rhythm she understood. Nevertheless, she still hated maths. "Hey," Daniel said, appearing out of nowhere, walking beside her. "Oh Hi," she could have sworn she saw his arms almost go to her

She pulled the door open, revealing June standing, gazing out of the window. "June!" She ran towards her, immediately pulling her into a hug.
