CHAPTER 9: Leaving Me Like This

It was lunchtime already here in Paris. I am hungry already, but I can’t go downstairs and cook.

I grabbed my phone and called the number that was saved on my phone contact. It only rang once and he answered it already. My forehead creased when I heard people talking in the background.

“Talk.”

I heard his deep voice over the phone. I didn’t know that his voice on the phone was so attractive. I shook my head and focused on what I was about to say.

“I’m hungry.”

I heard him humming. “Please continue, Mr. Black.”

My brows furrowed at what he said. I heard someone talk again. I couldn’t understand some words but I heard investments and stocks. Oh, God... Killian is in a business meeting. How could I forget it!?

“Just stay in bed. I’ll ask someone to bring you food.”
