Brandon POV: It's been about a week and we have been keeping ourselves busy with little things. Leia and I started training in our own separate way and I was surprised to see how much we are alike when it comes to fighting. I walked out to the little pond to find her sitting on the dock with her feet in the water, "What are you thinking about?" I asked, sitting down next to her. "I think I am ready to go back home." Leia replied and I looked at her. "Are you sure?" I asked. I didn't want her to feel rushed or anything like that. "I've been doing a lot better and things have calmed down, I'm ready." Leia replied with a small smile. "Besides, I miss everyone and I want to meet new people." Leia added. "Alright, then we will go back next week." I said tucking her hair behind her ear. "We could stay with my parents or something until we find a place of our own, it's not the best idea but it's all I have right now." Leia shrugged and an idea came through my head. "We will figure all of t
Brandon POV: Leia and I spent the last couple days getting everything ready to go while she made some phone calls. She still didn't want a lot of people to know so she could come back in peace and I knew it was only a matter of time before everyone knew we were there. Brad and I had come up with a plan of sorts to keep people back a little bit at first. He was going to stay with us for a little while but today I needed to tell Leia about the elders and what we are going to be walking back in to. I haven't told her Pythia is battling the elders on top of being pregnant but she is due any day now if she hasn't already and then what comes after will be a crazy ride for all of us. "What are you thinking about over there?" Leia asked, pulling me from my thoughts. "I need to tell you some things before we go back." I replied, patting the couch. She looked confused but sat down anyway. "What is going on?" Leia asked and I smiled slightly. "I need to tell you what has been going on with P
Brandon POV: When she left I pulled out my phone and dialed Alleys number. "Hey, is everything okay?" She asked. "Yeah, everything is fine but I just filled Leia in on what has been going on and I was wondering if anything else has happened." I replied. "Lots has happened, babies are born, we are adjusting to things but all is well." Alley said and I could hear the smile in her voice. "Oh good, have you talked to Leia?" I asked. "Yeah, a few times. I told her to come by when you guys got back and we could talk. I'll make sure it's just us in the house though." Alley replied and I nodded my head. ''Thank you, I have to call Tye before she gets back. I look forward to meeting the babies when we get back." I said. "We can't wait to see you guys, drive carefully and we will see you in the morning, bye Brandon." Alley replied before she hung up. I really did miss everyone there but now with the babies born the elders will come after Pythia in full force and I know that is something tha
Leia POV: I woke up early this morning so that I could shower and get ready and truth be told I was starting to feel a little nervous about going back but everything that Brandon had told me about Pythia and what she is going to have to go through made all of it worth it. I took a quick shower before I dried off and changed into a pair of shorts and tank top with some converse shoes. I finished drying off my hair before I brushed it out and decided to let it air dry. I walked back into the room to see Brandon was starting to stir around before he sat up. "Good morning, you smell nice." Brandon said with a smile making me laugh. "It's called a shower goofy, get up and I'll make some breakfast before we leave." I replied, kissing his cheek. I got back up and walked into the little kitchen and started prepping things when I heard the water turn on. I was in the middle of getting the eggs ready when I heard the front door open. "Good morning." Brad said, sitting down on the chair.
Leia POV: As we sat down I noticed Ambrosia was eyeing me and I didn't really know how to feel about it. She looked like she was thinking about something which was fine if her face didn't look so serious. "First, I want to know how you have been." Alley said, pulling me out of my thoughts. "I wasn't good for a little while but now I feel like I am doing much better." I replied. "I won't ask about anything, but when Brandon left I started to get a little curious on how you were handling having a mate in the midst of everything." Alley said. I smiled at her, even when I pulled myself away she was still being considerate of my feelings. "Honestly, he has helped in more ways than one. I had my setbacks but it didn't bother him and he has gone great lengths to make sure I was comfortable doing things before they were done. He has been very understanding and caring." I replied honestly because he was. "I'm glad to hear that, even more so that you are back, we missed you around here." Al
Leia POV: I heard my alarm go off and I nearly jumped out of the bed. Today was going to be my first training day with Ambrosia and I was equally nervous as I was excited. I quietly got out of the bed and walked into the bathroom, I loved how they set all of this up. It had mirrors that took up the back wall behind the two separate sinks, hook lights that came out just a little bit but still gave it the older look. A spacious stand in shower with two shower heads and a nice sizable tub that was next to it. I turned on the shower while I brushed my teeth and stripped my clothes, my mind was running all over the place curious about what all she was wanting to do. I was used to training with wolves not vampires and to make it better she was the queen. I mean how many people can sit back and say they got to train with a literal queen. I didn't let myself get too carried away because I was sure she was going to beat my ass around for a little while before I got the hang of everything.
Brandon POV: It was odd not having Leia with me and I wanted to follow her this morning and kind of watch from a distance but if she found out that I did that I knew she would be a little upset with me. So I stayed inside until the sun started coming up. I was already dressed and ready to go but it was too early to go over to anyones house. I grabbed my keys and wallet and started making my way towards Alley and Stephens house. I'm sure there is so much that I need to catch up on and who better to get the information from than Alex himself. I needed to ask how things with Jenson are going, I don't think any of us know when his birthday is and I know Alex has been a little frustrated with all of it. People were starting to emerge from their homes and I smiled, I missed it here but I had more important things to do. When I got closer to their house I could see Alex sitting on the porch swing drinking coffee. "I was wondering when you would show up." Alex said, handing me a cup of co
Leia POV: I had just got back inside but I took the long way around when I noticed more people were starting their days. My body felt rejuvenated but exhausted at the same time. I looked up at the clock and noticed it was around nine in the morning so I could shower and go to the little local store to grab a few things for lunch and then come back. I walked into the room and saw a note laying on my nightstand, I walked over and glanced at it, Brandon wanted me to text him when I got home. I knew he was busy catching up on everything so I waited a little while to text him because I knew he would come running home if he knew that I was home and I didn't want him to stop doing whatever he was doing. I walked into the bathroom and turned the water on before I stripped my clothes off and stepped in. The water stung a little and I looked down at my body to see I had some cuts and bruises starting to form. Hopefully they will heal up before the morning time if not I don't mind addin
Leia POV: As we stood still waiting for alpha Scott to really begin I could still see the confusion on some of their faces. This was something that was kept a secret for the most part and now they are all about to find out what really happened. "As we wait for them to be brought out I would like to explain why the Blackwood pack along with the covens are doing here." He said finally speaking. "Leia was once part of this pack until she was not only captured by Bosch but was under what we know as the forbidden magic. To better explain I would like to invite Pythia up." Scott nodded towards her. I could feel my heart racing, there were details that I did not want anyone to know and I knew that Pythia wouldn't bring them up. "Hello everyone, when it comes to the forbidden magic there is a difference, you see we are dark witches are able to use dark magic on a lot of things but the forbidden magic is by far the worst. It has the potential to morph us into different creatures essentiall
Leia POV: I woke up this morning not really sure how I was feeling about what today's events would unfold. We were all curious about how they would react to it. While I washed my hair my mind drifted back to the conversation that took place when we all were sitting around the porch.. **FLASHBACK** I sat on the swing while Ambrosia, Brandon and Jackson followed suit. "So how are you really feeling?" Ambrosia asked. I sat back against the swing and pulled my legs up. "Honestly, I have no idea. I thought maybe I would feel a little better being the one that decides what is going to happen but then I started thinking about how they are going to react, will they try to play on our tempers? Or would they accept it and not cause anymore problems." I replied, shrugging my shoulders. I was leaning more towards them playing on our tempers. "None of us know what is going to happen, I mean when we all grew up we didn't see this side of them." Jackson said and I nodded my head. The
Leia POV: Last night's events were probably the best we have had, we sat around the coffee table watching movies, playing a card game and having a few drinks. For once the stress of everything wasn't weighing on our shoulders. The bones had been sent to Collins territory for further examination but this morning they had called us over to Alley and Stephens to hear the result. "Are you ready?" Brandon asked, standing in the doorway. "Do you really think it's him?" I asked. "I don't know honestly, I think we will be disappointed either way this goes, you'll never have your justice or we found someone else and he is still on the loose." Brandon replied. Even if he did die somehow that is justice within itself and something I will just have to be okay with at some point. "As long as he is out of our lives and can't hurt anyone else then I can make peace with it you know." I said. "I know you will, I guess I just wanted you to have the justice that you deserved." Brandon replied. I cou
Brandon POV: I was beginning to get really frustrated. We had been out here for weeks looking for him and still haven't found anything of his at all. Alley has been popping in and out to bring us food and home to spend what time we can with our mates and for those that have children so no one feels like they have to miss out on anything. We were all growing more and more frustrated each day. One day the scent is hot the next day it's like it doesn't exist at all which sends us in different directions. "What are you thinking about over there?" Alex asked, pulling me out of my thoughts. "I didn't think this would take so damn long, why is his scent all over the place the way that it is, you know. It just doesn't make any sense." I replied, shaking my head. "Well, think about it, when we move around a lot our scent travels to different areas so maybe that is what he did to try to throw us off or something." Alex said and I shook my head. "No, there is something more to it that we are
Leia POV: When Brandon left the room Pythia came over to lay on the bed with me. "So tell me how you are really feeling." Pythia said, grabbing a piece of fruit. "I just feel tired and sore mainly." I replied, shrugging my shoulders. "I never really recovered from training with Ambrosia before the rest happened so I think it's really starting to weigh on me." I added and she smiled. "How is your training with her going? Does anyone else know about it?" Pythia asked. "It's been going good. She hasn't taken it easy on me at all, which I like, but I also taunt her when I feel like she is holding back and she scolds me when I am. She also likes to keep me on my toes, you know last time she left me a note." I laughed and I heard Pythia giggle. "She is always like that. She is one tough lady not many would dare to train with." Pythia replied. "I can see why, she is a little intense but in a good way. No one else knows though, I don't want anyone thinking I am getting some sort of specia
Brandon POV: I didn't know how long I had been asleep but when I opened my eyes Leia was still sleeping. I reached over and grabbed my phone off the night stand to see it hasn't even been an hour. I sighed and looked back down at her, I gently picked up her arms and un-did one of the bandages and noticed that it stopped bleeding and looked like it was starting to heal up slowly. I heard a knock on the door and looked up to see that Pythia had stuck her head through. "Is she still sleeping?" Pythia whispered and I nodded my head. She pushed the door open a little further and walked in with some snacks. "I didn't think you would want to leave her so I brought you some food and drinks." Pythia said with a smile. "Thank you, you didn't have to." I whispered. "Hush, you need to eat and I'm sure she will be waking soon and she will be hungry." Pythia said, giving me a stern look and I had to keep myself from laughing. I knew she wasn't one to tango with but there were different sides to
Leia POV: I was trying my best to keep my breathing under control but I started to feel like I was burning from the inside out. "Just relax the best you can." Pythia said, looking down at me. "I need some cold water and rags now!" Pythia yelled out before she looked back down at me. "How are you feeling?" She asked. "Like I'm on fire. I can feel it moving in my veins." I replied. I heard the door open and I looked over to see a young girl bringing in a bowl. "Any update on dumbass yet?" I asked as Pythia took the bowl and rag and sat down next to me, "As far as I heard, your mother has a nice little temper." Pythia replied with a smile. I closed my eyes for a second. She did have a bad temper, probably the worst out of all of us but she kept it inside and controlled most of the time. "What did she do?" I asked, I mean nothing really surprised me when it came to her. "Well, let's just say she has some sharp claws." Pythia replied and I groaned. "A man hunt is about to take place, t
Leia POV: I hardly slept at all last night, my bite wound was not healing like it should and Una has been rather quiet and hasn't said much. So for safety measure Brandon is taking me to Julie and I'm sure she is going to rip my ass up again. "How much pain are you in?" Brandon asked. "I don't want to walk, too much pressure on that side makes it worse. Or it feels that way at least." I replied. "Let me have a look at it." Brandon said and I raised my shirt. I let him take the bandages off and heard him sigh. When I looked down it was starting to turn black. "You can ride on Lane, let's go." Brandon said, helping me to my feet. I went to take a step forward and dug my nails into him, "What the hell is happening?" I gasped before he picked me up. His eyes were glazed over so he didn't hear what I had said. "Leia! What is happening?" Brad asked running up to us. "I don't know, it's not healing." I replied. "I see that, here give her to me and you shift." Brad said, taking me from Br
Brandon POV: When I got home I heard the TV going, I didn't know if she had gone back to sleep or not. I tried to tiptoe my way through the house when I heard her giggle and I stopped. "You are so loud you know." Leia said and I laughed. "At least I tried." I replied and I heard her giggle again. It was one of my most favorite sounds in the world. "You have cement blocks for feet. Now come tell me what's wrong, I can smell the stress on you." Leia said and I closed my eyes for a moment. There was no easy way to tell her what happened so I was just going to have to come out and tell her. I opened my eyes and walked into our room and saw she was sitting up with a cup of tea in her hands. Her face looked a little better than before so I knew Una was healing her to the fastest she could but she was still going to need a day or two but at least she could laugh without it hurting. "Tell me what's going on." Leia said, patting the spot in front of her. "Let me change real quick." I repli
