Brandon POV: It was odd not having Leia with me and I wanted to follow her this morning and kind of watch from a distance but if she found out that I did that I knew she would be a little upset with me. So I stayed inside until the sun started coming up. I was already dressed and ready to go but it was too early to go over to anyones house. I grabbed my keys and wallet and started making my way towards Alley and Stephens house. I'm sure there is so much that I need to catch up on and who better to get the information from than Alex himself. I needed to ask how things with Jenson are going, I don't think any of us know when his birthday is and I know Alex has been a little frustrated with all of it. People were starting to emerge from their homes and I smiled, I missed it here but I had more important things to do. When I got closer to their house I could see Alex sitting on the porch swing drinking coffee. "I was wondering when you would show up." Alex said, handing me a cup of co
Leia POV: I had just got back inside but I took the long way around when I noticed more people were starting their days. My body felt rejuvenated but exhausted at the same time. I looked up at the clock and noticed it was around nine in the morning so I could shower and go to the little local store to grab a few things for lunch and then come back. I walked into the room and saw a note laying on my nightstand, I walked over and glanced at it, Brandon wanted me to text him when I got home. I knew he was busy catching up on everything so I waited a little while to text him because I knew he would come running home if he knew that I was home and I didn't want him to stop doing whatever he was doing. I walked into the bathroom and turned the water on before I stripped my clothes off and stepped in. The water stung a little and I looked down at my body to see I had some cuts and bruises starting to form. Hopefully they will heal up before the morning time if not I don't mind addin
Leia POV: After Brandon went back to meet the other I took out my phone and sent a text to Alley that I was going to stop by for a little while. I knew she would be home and I was curious to see if I would see little Beth there or not. I didn't see her at check out but it's been a while. I started making my way outside and noticed Braxton walking by. I smiled and waved as he passed and he nodded his head. No doubt he was going to go back and tell Ambrosia but at least she would know that I wasn't inside all day. I pulled my hat down and started making my way across the field straight towards Alleys house. "Leia!" I heard my name and stopped. I turned and looked over my shoulder to see Tyler running up to me and I rolled my eyes and started walking off again. "Slow down girl! I didn't know you were back." Tyler said. "Just got back." I replied in an annoyed tone. "Well where are you heading?" Tyler asked. "To Alley's house." I replied. "Did she know you were back already?" Tyler as
Leia POV: This was not how I wanted this day to go but there was nothing that I could do to change it now. What is done is done but the good part about packs is they know something always happens for a reason and instead of being like a human school and taking what they see and spinning it to fit a certain way, we wait for the truth to reveal itself and I'm hoping that is what they do now instead of thinking I'm crazy and just snapped. "I don't know what has gotten in to him, he was doing better but then started slipping back in to his old ways again according to my parents." Alley huffed sitting down next to me. "Well, he could never handle that you were stronger than he is." I laughed. "Well we both are but I think you dialed it back for his egos sake. Don't do that, they need to know that women can be just as strong, if not stronger and if it chips the ego then they need it." Alley replied, bumping her shoulder into mine. I laughed, she was right sometimes they just need a
Leia POV: I woke up this morning to a note on my front door. It had said to run to Ambrosias land but to be prepared and stay on my toes which told me she was either having people hide or she had some traps set up somewhere. Either way I was going to have to perk up my senses more to catch anything before it gets to me. She had warned me last night when she and Pythia walked me home that this morning she would not be as easy as she was before but a part of me got excited, and then a part of me was really nervous because she is ridiculously strong and fast. I may not be able to keep up with her speed but I could somehow outsmart her move wise and try to keep the upper hand on her. I didn't wake Brandon this morning, he had a very long day and came home exhausted so I let him sleep in a little bit more. I stretched my limbs out and I slowly fell into an easy jog while I let my mind drift back to the conversation last night.... *FLASHBACK* Leia POV: I was honestly
Leia POV: I hobbled on to the porch and stopped to catch my breath. Having broken ribs was incredibly painful. "I'm healing as fast as I can." Una whispered and I closed my eyes. "I know, it's okay. I'm fine." I replied and when I opened my eyes Brandon was standing in the doorway staring right at me. "Um.. Hi?" I said with an awkward smile. He closed his eyes for a second and re opened them. "I know I said don't hold back but I didn't say fight to this point." Brandon said. There wasn't any anger in his voice and relief filled me. I was worried that he would be really upset seeing me like this. "If it makes you feel better she looks almost exactly like me and Julie said no training until we both are fully healed." I replied and he took a deep breath. "What am I going to do with you." He laughed. "Help me take a bath?" I asked. "Of course but I may have to cut your clothes off because it doesn't look like you can even raise your arms." Brandon replied walking towards me. "I'm surp
Brandon POV: Once I knew Leia was tucked into the bed I walked outside and looked around. I hated seeing her like that and I was not expecting for her to come home looking like that. I knew they wouldn't hold back but I didn't think it meant busting each other up like that but even so I couldn't be mad. I did encourage her to go all in and I'm sure Julie wasn't happy to see them that early in the morning. I reached my hand in my pocket and grabbed my phone. I wanted to go by and check on Ambrosia but I had no idea where she was but I knew who to call to find out. "Hey man what's up?" Jackson asked. "Not a lot, just now leaving the house but I was looking for Ambrosia. Do you know where she is?" I asked. "Yeah, she was at home relaxing for a little while. Chances are she is either in the living room or sitting on the front porch. Are you coming to the meeting later?" Jackson asked. "Yeah I'll be there. I just need to talk to her and go and check on the others and then Alex and I wi
Brandon POV: When I got home I heard the TV going, I didn't know if she had gone back to sleep or not. I tried to tiptoe my way through the house when I heard her giggle and I stopped. "You are so loud you know." Leia said and I laughed. "At least I tried." I replied and I heard her giggle again. It was one of my most favorite sounds in the world. "You have cement blocks for feet. Now come tell me what's wrong, I can smell the stress on you." Leia said and I closed my eyes for a moment. There was no easy way to tell her what happened so I was just going to have to come out and tell her. I opened my eyes and walked into our room and saw she was sitting up with a cup of tea in her hands. Her face looked a little better than before so I knew Una was healing her to the fastest she could but she was still going to need a day or two but at least she could laugh without it hurting. "Tell me what's going on." Leia said, patting the spot in front of her. "Let me change real quick." I repli
Leia POV: As we stood still waiting for alpha Scott to really begin I could still see the confusion on some of their faces. This was something that was kept a secret for the most part and now they are all about to find out what really happened. "As we wait for them to be brought out I would like to explain why the Blackwood pack along with the covens are doing here." He said finally speaking. "Leia was once part of this pack until she was not only captured by Bosch but was under what we know as the forbidden magic. To better explain I would like to invite Pythia up." Scott nodded towards her. I could feel my heart racing, there were details that I did not want anyone to know and I knew that Pythia wouldn't bring them up. "Hello everyone, when it comes to the forbidden magic there is a difference, you see we are dark witches are able to use dark magic on a lot of things but the forbidden magic is by far the worst. It has the potential to morph us into different creatures essentiall
Leia POV: I woke up this morning not really sure how I was feeling about what today's events would unfold. We were all curious about how they would react to it. While I washed my hair my mind drifted back to the conversation that took place when we all were sitting around the porch.. **FLASHBACK** I sat on the swing while Ambrosia, Brandon and Jackson followed suit. "So how are you really feeling?" Ambrosia asked. I sat back against the swing and pulled my legs up. "Honestly, I have no idea. I thought maybe I would feel a little better being the one that decides what is going to happen but then I started thinking about how they are going to react, will they try to play on our tempers? Or would they accept it and not cause anymore problems." I replied, shrugging my shoulders. I was leaning more towards them playing on our tempers. "None of us know what is going to happen, I mean when we all grew up we didn't see this side of them." Jackson said and I nodded my head. The
Leia POV: Last night's events were probably the best we have had, we sat around the coffee table watching movies, playing a card game and having a few drinks. For once the stress of everything wasn't weighing on our shoulders. The bones had been sent to Collins territory for further examination but this morning they had called us over to Alley and Stephens to hear the result. "Are you ready?" Brandon asked, standing in the doorway. "Do you really think it's him?" I asked. "I don't know honestly, I think we will be disappointed either way this goes, you'll never have your justice or we found someone else and he is still on the loose." Brandon replied. Even if he did die somehow that is justice within itself and something I will just have to be okay with at some point. "As long as he is out of our lives and can't hurt anyone else then I can make peace with it you know." I said. "I know you will, I guess I just wanted you to have the justice that you deserved." Brandon replied. I cou
Brandon POV: I was beginning to get really frustrated. We had been out here for weeks looking for him and still haven't found anything of his at all. Alley has been popping in and out to bring us food and home to spend what time we can with our mates and for those that have children so no one feels like they have to miss out on anything. We were all growing more and more frustrated each day. One day the scent is hot the next day it's like it doesn't exist at all which sends us in different directions. "What are you thinking about over there?" Alex asked, pulling me out of my thoughts. "I didn't think this would take so damn long, why is his scent all over the place the way that it is, you know. It just doesn't make any sense." I replied, shaking my head. "Well, think about it, when we move around a lot our scent travels to different areas so maybe that is what he did to try to throw us off or something." Alex said and I shook my head. "No, there is something more to it that we are
Leia POV: When Brandon left the room Pythia came over to lay on the bed with me. "So tell me how you are really feeling." Pythia said, grabbing a piece of fruit. "I just feel tired and sore mainly." I replied, shrugging my shoulders. "I never really recovered from training with Ambrosia before the rest happened so I think it's really starting to weigh on me." I added and she smiled. "How is your training with her going? Does anyone else know about it?" Pythia asked. "It's been going good. She hasn't taken it easy on me at all, which I like, but I also taunt her when I feel like she is holding back and she scolds me when I am. She also likes to keep me on my toes, you know last time she left me a note." I laughed and I heard Pythia giggle. "She is always like that. She is one tough lady not many would dare to train with." Pythia replied. "I can see why, she is a little intense but in a good way. No one else knows though, I don't want anyone thinking I am getting some sort of specia
Brandon POV: I didn't know how long I had been asleep but when I opened my eyes Leia was still sleeping. I reached over and grabbed my phone off the night stand to see it hasn't even been an hour. I sighed and looked back down at her, I gently picked up her arms and un-did one of the bandages and noticed that it stopped bleeding and looked like it was starting to heal up slowly. I heard a knock on the door and looked up to see that Pythia had stuck her head through. "Is she still sleeping?" Pythia whispered and I nodded my head. She pushed the door open a little further and walked in with some snacks. "I didn't think you would want to leave her so I brought you some food and drinks." Pythia said with a smile. "Thank you, you didn't have to." I whispered. "Hush, you need to eat and I'm sure she will be waking soon and she will be hungry." Pythia said, giving me a stern look and I had to keep myself from laughing. I knew she wasn't one to tango with but there were different sides to
Leia POV: I was trying my best to keep my breathing under control but I started to feel like I was burning from the inside out. "Just relax the best you can." Pythia said, looking down at me. "I need some cold water and rags now!" Pythia yelled out before she looked back down at me. "How are you feeling?" She asked. "Like I'm on fire. I can feel it moving in my veins." I replied. I heard the door open and I looked over to see a young girl bringing in a bowl. "Any update on dumbass yet?" I asked as Pythia took the bowl and rag and sat down next to me, "As far as I heard, your mother has a nice little temper." Pythia replied with a smile. I closed my eyes for a second. She did have a bad temper, probably the worst out of all of us but she kept it inside and controlled most of the time. "What did she do?" I asked, I mean nothing really surprised me when it came to her. "Well, let's just say she has some sharp claws." Pythia replied and I groaned. "A man hunt is about to take place, t
Leia POV: I hardly slept at all last night, my bite wound was not healing like it should and Una has been rather quiet and hasn't said much. So for safety measure Brandon is taking me to Julie and I'm sure she is going to rip my ass up again. "How much pain are you in?" Brandon asked. "I don't want to walk, too much pressure on that side makes it worse. Or it feels that way at least." I replied. "Let me have a look at it." Brandon said and I raised my shirt. I let him take the bandages off and heard him sigh. When I looked down it was starting to turn black. "You can ride on Lane, let's go." Brandon said, helping me to my feet. I went to take a step forward and dug my nails into him, "What the hell is happening?" I gasped before he picked me up. His eyes were glazed over so he didn't hear what I had said. "Leia! What is happening?" Brad asked running up to us. "I don't know, it's not healing." I replied. "I see that, here give her to me and you shift." Brad said, taking me from Br
