Chapter Twenty-three

Kendall’s POV

As I sat at the desk, trying to focus on the papers Declan had assigned to me, a dull pain suddenly shot through my abdomen, causing me to cry out in agony.

Tears streamed down my cheeks as the pain intensified, leaving me feeling dizzy and disoriented. Something was terribly wrong, but I couldn’t figure out what.

I felt utterly defeated as I sat at the desk, staring blankly at the papers before me. No matter how hard I worked, no matter how much effort I put in, it seemed like everything was destined to fall apart.

Olivia’s presence loomed over me like a dark cloud. I tried to push aside the hurt and frustration, to focus on the paperwork, but the pain in my chest only grew stronger with each passing moment.

It started as a dull ache, but soon it became a sharp, stabbing sensation that made it hard to breathe. I clutched at my chest, gasping for air as tears streamed down my cheeks.
