Valentino's POV

I was feeling comfortable and almost falling asleep when I suddenly got up because of Sasha. I narrowed my eyes in annoyance.

“Don’t go,” I blurted out.

“I just need to open the door for Dr. Rob. I’ll be right back,” Sasha said, trying to comfort me like I was a child. “I’ll be up soon, don’t worry.”

She quickly went downstairs to open the door.

Dr. Rob was at the door, dressed in a windbreaker and carrying a medicine box. When he saw Sasha, he greeted her with a smile. “Sasha—no, Mrs. Rex. It’s nice to see you again!”

Sasha smiled back. “Dr. Rob, please come in. He’s upstairs in the room, in a lot of pain. He can’t get up.”

“Don’t worry. He’s stubborn, but he won’t die from this,” Dr. Rob said, half-joking.

Even though he said that, he hurried upstairs. He didn’t want his good friend and his employer to suffer.
