Sasha's POV

“Talk to her?” I asked.

“That’s right,” Valentino said as he sat down. He noticed some cream on my face from the dessert and couldn’t help but laugh. There was a hint of affection in his smile as he reached out to wipe it off. “You eat like a little cat. No one’s grabbing it from you; you can take your time.”

“I wasn’t eating fast,” I said, frowning and wiping my cheek with my hand.

Seeing me like this, Valentino’s heart softened instantly. Compared to Sandra, I must look like a child, but he seemed to find it endearing.

“Have you had enough? Is there anything else you want to eat?” Valentino asked with a trace of affection that he probably didn’t even realize.

“No, I’m full. Let’s go back,” I said.

Valentino paid the bill, and as we left, he kept his eyes on me. My happiness seemed to make him inexplicably happy, too. But if I was upset, he was also noticeably down.

“Let’s go check out the car,” Valentino said. “There’s an auto show nearby. You can choose one if you like.
