74: Darkness haunts

Avery’s POV

The room suddenly felt stuffy, and I found it difficult to breathe, clutching my chest as tears rolled down my eyes I muttered, “Please open the windows, Maria.”

She quickly placed the breakfast tray on my table and walked to the windows unlocking them, immediately the cool wind filled the room I felt my muscles relaxed, but it did little to ease my bleeding heart.

I buried my face in my hands while I sobbed uncontrollably, everything was exhausting. Liam precisely has a way of pushing me to the edge and leaving me to die in the darkness that lurks around.

Maria wrapped her arms around me and pulled me into a bear hug, “My Lady everything will be fine, please stop crying, your body is still so weak crying would only make your health worse.” she whispered calmly while stroking my back slowly.
