116: Rock bottom

Liam’s POV

I sauntered into the sitting room feeling weary, my jaw ached so bad I could no longer feel my gum. At this moment, I realized I already lost Avery two years ago from the time I first raised my hand to smack her across her face and also when I cheated on her with Lisa, my secretary.

Exhaling I slumped on the couch, reaching for the whiskey bottle I gulped the whole content. Staring around the sitting room, my life flashed before me, and I recalled how Avery and I were so happy before my ego spoiled everything we built.

My head started spinning terribly. I felt like dying, my career was over even with every tactic I used in trying to get these directors to invest in my company it was useless. The funny thing was my grandfather resolved to donate half of his properties to Charity when he passed away, so there was no inheritance waiting for me since I failed to keep my marriage.
