14: A Motherly Touch

Avery’s POV

I woke up feeling like crap, this was not new to me, but then it was different this time around. Probably I made a wrong choice by staying back even after I got an opportunity to run away last night.

Sitting up I propped a pillow behind my back so I could rest my head which was banging non-stop.

Anyone would call me a fool, but I really don't care, the swirl of emotions that enveloped my being last night while walking in the rain was enough for me to bolt into the night running as far as my legs could carry me to someplace that’s far away from Liam.

But then again, there was this part of me that wanted to believe that the caring and sweet husband whom I married was still in there.

Liam always made sure I lacked nothing and everything that would make me more comfortable was provided when we were newly wedded, everything changed after he received his first global award.
