Avery’s POV

The sky suddenly appeared cloudy, lightning and thunderstorms blared above, and I wondered if God was angry with me tonight. Why this night when I have no means of going home?

Complaining painfully, I kept walking down the path that led to my house, checking billboards and street names to make sure I was going in the right direction. Suddenly, it started raining heavily like I was the main target for the night, there was no way I could stay under any covering since I already wasted so much time speaking to Laura.

Sighing, I proceeded under the rain, I knew there was no way I would not get the flu tomorrow morning. But arriving home late meant more trouble for me, so I was at crossroads.
