Ch. 24: Their POV

Sariel's point of view

"Are you sober?" Maddy growls at me. He's still lying there and staring at me. I bet if I were still asleep, I'd know how he'd wake me up—like if I were Aurora and he was the prince who'd kiss me to wake me up. Ha! My delusions are wild.

"I'm moderately functional." I smile at him and lightly touch my temple, which feels like it's under constant pressure.

"I'll take that as a no," Maddy hisses, getting up from the bed.

"Where are you going?" I immediately grab the hem of his t-shirt. He looks at it, then back at my eyes. I quickly let go, lean back against the headboard, and close my eyes.

"I'm going downstairs to check on the others and prepare breakfast. Take your medicine first and follow me to the kitchen," he replies before turning and leaving the room.

I tried to recall what happened last night—watching Mean Girls, the series of dares—and then I don’t know what happened next. We were probably all really drunk, except maybe for some of the guys, but
