Ch. 31: Planning a Hike

Sariel asked me to sing. I don’t know why, but it’s been a long time since I last sang. I hesitated at first, but when I looked into her pleading almond-shaped eyes, I realized I couldn't refuse her. So, I asked her what song she wanted. She requested Too Sweet by Hozier; it’s pretty easy to sing.

If I compare her to the song Too Sweet, I'm not sure if she deserves someone like me. I can't promise to protect her, but I've already told her that I own her and that my world is dangerous for her. Yet, I don't think I can let her go. I don't want another man to have her; I want her to be mine and mine alone. I may be alluring to her, but I am also merciless. I fear I might hurt her in the future and won’t be able to protect her. I hope that I do not regret claiming her as my own, because she is too good for me. However, if that is the case, I will address it at a later time. Damn, I'm thinking too far ahead again.
