Ch. 33: The Glimpse of the Past

Third person's point of view

Finn Dixon was at his adoptive parents' old manor. It had been a year since he last visited. He wanted to reminisce about the past. Somehow, he missed the parents who had taken him in. In his mind, he wished he could go back to his childhood, when it was just him and his adoptive parents—just the three of them. His sister was an obstacle. Why did she have to come along?

Finn would never forget the first time he set foot inside the Carters' manor. He had been a foster child and suffered abuse. Luckily, the Carters had stopped by the private foster home. They learned about the boy's story, so they temporarily took him in to care for him. Finn was overjoyed that someone had decided to take care of him; he had longed for that to happen.

"Hello, your name is Finn, right?" Mrs. Carter asked the little boy, who was seven years old.

"Yes," the adorable little boy muttered. He was shy and adorable, so much so that Mrs. Carter already wanted to adopt him.
