At TheeStorm organization, Liam Storm paced in his office in frustration as he looked at the man before him.
"Dad I already told you, we are trying our best," Liam tried to convince his father who was hell bent on making his life unbearable.
"We both know you'll not take over the company if you can't produce an heir, you have a quality wife, what else do you want?" Daniel Storm urged relentlessly.
Liam ran his hand through his hair as he felt trapped in his own body. It was yet another negative outcome from the hospital. Ever since the accident nothing had ever been the same, although Isabelle was okay, he on the other hand could not say the same.
"We're trying dad but it's just not working, we are only left with one last chance and if that doesn't work you can't blame me," Liam said, his mind tired of having to take his fiance for IVF multiple times only to get negative results after hospital tests.
"Don't worry son, I have a feeling this last one will take," Daniel Storm said comforting his son.
As he watched his father's back disappear he closed his eyes feeling his head relax but a familiar pair of pale green eyes kept filling his thoughts. The look of pain that was in those eyes disturbing his soul.
He didn't get to take a good look at her but her eyes reminded her of someone he loved dearly. How he wished he could have a chance to look at them again and finally put a face to the mesmerizing eyes. He shook his head in confusion not sure why he felt the urge to protect her when Isabelle shouted at her. Her fragile look making him overprotective of her.
"What's making you smile that broadly after your father just left the office?" Justus asked entering the room with two cups of coffee in his hands.
"Leave me alone Justus, should I cry?" Liam fired back laughing. Justus was the only person who understood how he felt most of the time.
"Tell me, did Isabelle finally turn into a dutiful wife and cook for you? Or what's the smile for?" Justus teased chuckling as he settled in the seat opposite him.
"No man, it's just that at the hospital I locked eyes with..." Liam explained his mind drifting off to the moment.
"Oh it seems my boy has finally gotten rid of the witch's claws. Who's this beautiful damsel? Is she rich? A model like your fiance?" Justus fired away the questions playfully.
Liam tapped his finger on his chin as if in deep thought. "Well I didn't exactly get to see her well, as Isabelle..." Liam paused his explanation as he noticed the mockery look on his best friend's face.
"What?" Liam asked, furrowing his brows.
"I wanted to hear what that witch did to her, I always tell you she's not fit to even have your eyes on her," Justus yet again opposed the idea of Liam dating Isabelle.
"There you go again,Jus,why do you hate her so much though?" Liam asked, collecting some of the documents on the desk.
"You'll see her true colors one day Liam, and I'll be here to tell you I told you so," Justus replied, his voice full of certainty.
Liam shook his head, if it wasn't for Isabelle he couldn't have been able to get through the grief he was in. The accident had taken something so dear to him but she supported him all through. He quickly repressed the painful memories as he knew where his commitment lay.
Just then his phone buzzed with a message only for him to find that Isabelle canceled their hospital appointment again. She said she wanted to carry his baby but she kept bailing and postponing. Liam clenched his fists angrily trying to calm himself down.
Meanwhile Selene looked out the window caressing her stomach as a tear rolled out of her eye. It's been two weeks since she lost her baby but the pain was still imprinted in her mind and heart.
"Ooh, is our little baby girl hurt? That stupid man surely doesn't deserve a chance with my all mighty sister," Stella, her stepsister, said with a hint of enthusiasm in her voice.
"We both know you don't mean it Stella, drop it," Kyla said ignoring her spiteful comment.
"Oh did I offend you in any way, her highness?" She continued mockingly. Kyla scoffed, turning to her angrily.
"If it were not that I'm leaving for my check up I would have dealt with that dirty mouth of yours!" Kyla threatened looking straight in her pale green eyes. That's all they had similar otherwise everything else was like heaven and earth.
Stella cowered back at the angry tone pouting as she exited the room. Kyla clenched her fists cussing inwardly as that would get her reprimanded once her stepsister ran to tell her mother.
At the hospital, the doctor entered with her face covered with weariness.
"You're Miss Vane? ... " she asked but her phone rang before she could receive a reply.
She seemed to be having an intense conversation as her face turned pale as the call ended.
"Sorry about that, I just have so much going on right now, let's begin, shall we?" She asked, chuckling as she realized just how much she had shared.
Kyla looked at her pitifully as she could almost relate what it was like going through a hard time.
The checkup went quite well as the doctor removed her gloves smiling at her.
"Everything is fine, Miss, all the best," she said, answering her already buzzing phone again.
Selene found it strange that she didn't meet her usual doctor and she didn't recall her canceling their appointment.
As Kyla got out of the car she couldn't believe her eyes when she saw Blake's car in the parking lot. This man was really shameless that he had the guts to even come to her parents house?
Storming into the living room she locked eyes with Blake who was laughing with her father.
"Darling, your husband came to see you," Victor Anders, her father, called out to her his voice full of excitement.
Kyla couldn't hide her disgust on seeing the very man who caused her miscarriage. And to think he was sitting at her parents' house laughing his stomach out. She felt raw anger shoot through her.
"What are you doing here Blake?" Kyla demanded her temper spiking.
Blake laughed nervously, "I'm here to get you back, I can't allow you to have our baby out of wedlock." Blake cleared his throat after saying that. He knew that Victor would definitely side with him on that, feeling glad that Kyla had said nothing about what happened.
"You must be out of your mind Blake! Get out of my house right now!" Kyla ordered her eyes burning with rage.
"No Kyla,I'm not going without you," Blake insisted, hell bent on taking her back.
He wanted that baby for his lover as she suffered a miscarriage and they found out she couldn't bear children. He had to have his baby from this woman whether she liked it or not.
"Kyla, first of all this is my house and second you're going back with your husband right now and don't even think of going against me, your sister told me about your shameless behavior, you're lucky you have a gentleman for a husband," Victor's voice resonated in the room.
Kyla felt her ears ringing from the poisonous words she heard from her father. It had been the same again since he remarried, his wife hated her. But one thing she wouldn't do was going back with Blake. For what? Or as what?
"I'm not going anywhere, if you like, throw me out but I'll not go with Blake!" Kyla said her voice filled with a sense of finality.
Unwilling to believe that her father would sell her out again to this heartless man.
"Okay, you made your bed Kyla, you might as well lay in it!" Victor scoffed at how spoiled Kyla was.
If Stella hadn't told him of her shameless acts then he would have never believed that his once sweet innocent baby girl turned into this.
Stella held onto her mother in the corner smiling at the whole scene. Stella threw Kyla an evil victorious grin which made Kyla's heart break into pieces.
"Dad, what are you even saying?" Kyla asked, intending to plead for herself. If only she could sum up the courage to tell them that the baby was gone.
"Get out of my house, you're not going to stay here any longer!" Victor bellowed out in anger making Kyla's eyes grow wide in shock.
Blake smirked victoriously knowing that she was left with no choice but to tuck her tail between her legs and go with him willingly.
The cool evening breeze of Miami Beach hit her barely covered skin. It had been a long night of after-party and bidding goodbye as they prepared to travel. Kyla stirred in bed, her eyes opening slightly as a smile graced her lips. She couldn't help but feel her heart reap in joy as she remembered the previous event of her wedding. If she thought it would be good, then she was mistaken, everything exceeded her expectations. It was nothing short of pure Bliss and exceptional. Kyla straightened her arm, only for it to fall on the cold empty spot of her husband's side. They lay all night, tossing and turning in the sheets. Making love through the remaining hours of the night, through their tiredness, until all Kyla could remember was her passing out. She sat up looking at the open window which ushered in the cool breeze from the sea. She hadn't had time to enjoy the beach, as they arrived during the night. Setting her bare feet to the cold floor, she shivered as she walked to the
“Hurry or we're going to be late,” Amber almost screamed at her husband who was struggling to keep his tie straight.“Hunnie, can't you see I'm trying to keep this damn thing straight!” Justus replied in his defense, his tone full of annoyance, but Amber laughed at him in return.Justus huffed out loud giving up on his quest making him shrug his shoulders in defeat. A loud cry resonated in the room making Amber close her eyes tightly. Any other day would be okay to hear the pleasant sounds of baby Kendra, but today was just not the day.Justus muffled his chuckle, but Amber didn't miss it, making her throw him a look angrily.“You're enjoying this, right?” Amber asked, looking at him sharply.“Hunnie, I'm not enjoying anything but my little princess seems to be feeling worse than me,” Justus teased, raising his brow at her. It's been four months since Amber delivered a bouncing baby girl. She could never forget that day for anything, from the grand hall to the last bit of her deliver
Kyla tapped on the accept button, hating that she couldn't get rid of the foul feeling that stuck to her stomach. “Hello, Jus, what's up?” Kyla asked, her eyes brows knitted together in confusion.“Kyla, it's Liam, he's in trouble, the meeting went sideways, please come to the address I'll send you,” Justus said, getting straight to the point, panic evident in his voice.Kyla felt her body tremble and feel weak at the same time. Her legs failing to support her, making her buckle, almost sending her to the ground. She glanced at the phone, which appeared to have been disconnected.“What! Amber, I have to go, Liam's in trouble!” Kyla said in panic as she headed out, Amber hot on her heel as she struggled to catch up.“What happened? Wait for me, Kyla,” Amber said behind her, making Kyla slow down to help her down. They boarded the car quickly to the location sent, Kyla tapped her fingers on her thigh restlessly. She couldn't help but feel her heart beat fast in her stomach. She had nev
The party slowed down as nightfall neared everyone in the rush to get back to their places or other things.Kyla spotted Amber and Justus on one corner, already inseparable after their blissful moment. Kyla felt hands engulf her waist from behind. The familiar tingles telling her who it was before she could even see his face. “Why do you look jealous of Amber and Justus, Love?” Liam asked, whispering into her ears.“I just feel happy for them, at least Amber had her husband all evening unlike me,” Kyla said hinting on how busy he had been all evening.“Love, you know I love you right, I can't promise I'll spend the night with you, I have a meeting that was just set up impromptu,” Liam said making Kyla feel her heart dampen. She turned slowly, looking at him for any signs of teasing but found none.“Babe, are you seriously telling me, you'll be occupied tonight? What time will you be back?” Kyla asked, pouting as she looked at him.“I don't know for sure, but Justus will be accompany
“Surprise!” Many voices shouted at once making Kyla and Liam halt suddenly in shock. Kyla was aware of what was happening, but she didn't expect something this grand would be done within a short time. Liam looked around, feeling his legs get weak at the beautiful scenery of what was once in ashes. As the lights came on Liam chuckled on seeing his family already present. It appeared everyone was aware except him, the burner with his late dad's name moved him to tears.‘IN LOVING MEMORY OF DANIEL STORM: HIS LEGACY WILL LIVE ON’Clapping came from every corner of the cheerful hall. “Babe, I hope you like it,” Kyla muttered beside her husband, throwing her dad a knowing look.Liam turned around hugging Kyla tightly before holding her at an arm's length and placing a kiss on her forehead.“I love it, thanks love, I love you so much,” Liam said, looking around, his eyes full of admiration.Kyla smiled broadly as she hugged him tightly, her heart beating fast in gratitude. Liam sat up carefully looking at them, concern swimming in his eyes.“What is it champ?” Liam asked worriedly as Kyla sat on the bed next to him. It was unsure for Dean or the twins to wake up crying in the middle of the night for nothing.Dean, overwhelmed by whatever he was going through, cried even harder as Kyla hugged him comfortingly. Kyla placed her hand on his forehead to check if he was hot or sick, but everything appeared fine.“Tell us what's wrong baby, did you have a nightmare?” Kyla said, feeling her heart twist at seeing him like that.Dean nodded fresh tears brimming in his eyes. “Mommy, is being dead a bad thing?” Dean asked, looking at his mother curiously, his glassy eyes filled with tears. Kyla and Liam looked at each other both in surprise and confusion. “Why would you ask that, champ? Where did you hear the word from?” Liam asked, worry evident in his voice. No parent would imagine their child asking them about death. “I heard uncle saying that my parents are
