CHAPTER 11

The days that followed the contract signing were filled with new experiences and full of activities. Estefan lived in a huge and complicated world with lots of influential people, where every choice made counts. I soon realized that in order to keep up, I would have to adjust and learn things up fast.

Estefan invited me into his office one morning. I was excited and nervous at the same time as I walked inside the magnificent room. Estefan was seated behind his gigantic desk, staring at a stack of papers that were in front of him.

"Kaitlyn," he nodded to greet me. "I hope you’re settling in well."

"Yes, I am," I said, sitting down across from him. "I am grateful for all of your help. Although it's been overwhelming, I'm getting by.

"Good," he responded in a tone that conveyed satisfaction. Today, we will take things a step further. I want you to accompany me to an important business meeting.
