Chapter 13

Kaitlyn was glad she had some space to herself aside from the luxury at Estefan world. She sat at her kitchen table, sipping her morning coffee, the reality of the decision she had made begun to sink in.

She had committed herself to a long time contract marriage with Estefan Salvatore, a man she was just getting to know, to seek revenge and escape the pain of her past. It was indeed a brave move from herself. Kaitlyn thought to herself.

Her phone buzzed, breaking her thoughts. It was Sarah.

“Hey, Kaitlyn. How are you holding up with your new life?” Sarah’s voice was filled with concern.

Kaitlyn sighed. “I’m okay, I guess. There is a lot to do and process.”

“Do you want to meet up? We can go shopping or grab lunch. It might help take your mind off things.”

“Actually, that sounds great. I could use a distraction,” Kaitlyn admitted.
