The restaurant Estefan had chosen was one of the most exclusive in Los Angeles. Kaitlyn had never even heard of it, let alone dined there. As she stepped inside, the beauty of the place struck her—the dim lighting, the soft music, the discreet yet attentive service. It was a world far from her own.

Estefan was already seated at a secluded table in the back, his eyes fixed on her as she approached. He stood as she neared, offering a smile that was both charming and calculating.

"You look stunning," he said, as he stood up and pulled out her chair.

"Thank you," Kaitlyn replied, sitting down.

“I am so sorry I could not come pick you up.”

“It’s okay; I could manage myself, and it was no trouble.” Estefan nodded.

“That is good to know.”

"This place is incredible."

Estefan chuckled, his eyes never leaving hers. "I thought it would be appropriate for the occasion."

"And what occasion is that?" Kaitlyn asked, trying to keep her tone light.
