Cruz understood the effect he was having on her but just couldn't understand why she was going to such an extent to embarrass him in front of everyone.
"You're just the worst of men!" She replied, gritting her teeth angrily while trying to cover her torn dress from him. He noticed this and forcefully removed her hand from the dress to have a last look at her smooth and slender thighs.
Jessica struggled to free herself from the monster in disguise before Leah and Tyler came to her rescue.
"Leave her alone! Are you out of your mind?" Leah asked angrily as she struggled to push his hand away, her turquoise eyes narrowing at him.
"What the f*ck is wrong with you? Have you finally lost it?" Tyler asked as he pushed him away and freed Jessica's hands.
As soon as she was free, she quickly held her dress with one of her hands while she used the other to wipe out the tears that were trickling down her eyes as she ran out of the club.
"Wait, Jessie!" Leah shouted after her and looked at Tyler who was now ridden with guilt.
"The car keys!" She demanded, stretching her hands towards his face. He stuck his hand inside his pocket and brought out his car key which he dropped on her outstretched palm.
"Come on Leah, we can sort…"
"Don't come to our place tonight." She interrupted before running after Jessica who was far out of the club.
Leah met Jessica trying to stop a cab and she quickly drove Tyler's car in front of her.
"Get in!" Leah instructed and after much hesitation, Jessica finally entered the car and Leah drove off.
The drive back home was a silent one filled with so many emotions as Leah watched Jessica cry her eyes out.

Back at the clubhouse, Tyler was very furious at his friends, especially Cruz who had harassed Jessica.
"Guys, what was the meaning of that rubbish?" He asked angrily.
"Dude, you know how Cruz always behaves. He was surprised to see an unfamiliar face and he wanted her, so we dared him to do it, we didn't know she came with you." One of the friends, Justin explained.
"Who the fuck is she?" Cruz, whose hand was still on his cheek, asked furiously.
"That was my fiance's best friend. She's a very decent girl, that's why you've never seen her in such places before. She's not like those cheap girls. You had no right to harass her like that, especially not today. This is like the second time she's been harassed." Tyler lashed out.
"Calm down, she's not even your girlfriend and you're getting this worked up. She goes around with such great figures and skimpy clothes and you expect her not to be harassed?" Cruz wondered with little or no remorse over what he had done.
"This is the 21st century, Cruz. I thought you knew that better. She isn't the only one with such a short dress and even she is... this is her body we are talking about, not your property!" Tyler scolded.
"Well, I didn't do anything wrong. I just wanted s*x but she took it too far and slapped my face!" Cruz complained terribly.
"You were the one that went too far, Cruz! I'm very sure she made you understand she didn't want it but you never take no for an answer." Tyler complained angrily.
"You were wrong, and you're going to apologize to her." Tyler urged.
"That's not happening, young man!" Cruz flared up and tried to leave but Tyler held him back and tried to punch his face before Jason quickly grabbed his hand and pushed him away.
The party was disrupted by their quarrel but Jason quickly apologized to everyone and forced them into the private room of the hall.
"Get hold of yourselves, Guys!" He scolded. "This is Michael's day, don't ruin it for him." He added.
"Then you should tell this dude to put a lock on his pants and be careful with who he flirts with and most importantly, learn to accept NO as an answer. This is supposed to be a fun party, not a place for harassing ladies!" Tyler yelled angrily.
"She's not even your girlfriend. I don't know why you're flaring up except you have something to do with her behind her friend's back." Cruz replied, annoying Tyler.
"See how crude his mind is? You think everyone is as shameless and loose as you are?" Tyler asked with so much disgust. "I value relationships a lot, Cruz and as I said, you're going to apologize to her!" He added before he stomped out of the room angrily.
"In your dreams, Tyler!" Cruz shouted after him.
"Shut the fuck up, Cruz! You were wrong to harass the lady like that and like, Tyler said, you're going to apologize to her. It was a dare anyway. I hope you understand now that you ain't so special after all. You are only common amongst the cheap and loose bitches, don't think so highly of yourself." Jason addressed him and just then, Micheal, Justin, and Daniel entered the room.
"I can't believe the mighty Cruz Westham was slapped by a lady. Check it out, it's all over WeCom! The Guy with a Tiny Man between his legs!" Daniel joked as he joined them, unaware of the quarrel.
"Come to think of it guys, who knows if Cruz pays those girls off to talk about how good he is in bed? For all, we know that girl might just be telling the truth." He chuckled, provoking Cruz even more.
Cruz collected the phone from his hand and angrily smashed it on the ground and then grabbed the collar of his clothes and punched him hard in the face. "How's that?" He asked confidently.
"Oh! That's stupid and it won't change the fact that you received a slap from a lady today right after receiving an award for being the Ladies' man. Do you even think you deserve the award?" Daniel provoked Cruz further.
The Ladies' Man Award was just a playful award that Cruz and his friend Cycle gave each other from time to time depending on who they feel deserves it.
Cruz was now seething with rage and hatred for Jessica because of this little confrontation.
"You have to call Tyler up. You will apologize to that lady." Jason urged.
"And now you even have to apologize? Where is that confident Casanova who claims he can never be scolded by any woman and neither can he ever apologize to a woman except his mom? By chance, has she suddenly become your mom?" Daniel inquired, deliberately annoying Cruz.
"Stop annoying him, Dan!" Micheal scolded.
Cruz felt like he was going to explode any moment but an idea came to mind and he heaved a sigh of relief and a sly smile danced on his lips.
"An apology, right? She will get it from me. But that won't end it. She claimed she's not a harlot but I will make her crave to be one. She will definitely beg me to take her!" Cruz asserted with so much enthusiasm.
"Wanna make a bet?" Daniel asked curiously.
"Most definitely! I will make sure those people who talked about the slap also talk about how much of a pretentious tramp she is! If I don't make that happen, you can have my newest Ferrari LaFerrari." He declared confidently.
"And you can have my parking space in Manhattan!" Daniel declared.
"Guys! This is going too far!" Justin lamented.
"Well, I don't give a f*ck! No lady has ever spoken to me the way she did talk moe of raising their hands on me and she's going to pay no matter what it takes." He affirmed.
TWO DAYS LATER Coming down to the class areas of the best private school in LA - Royal High Academy, Jessica thought there was nothing to be nervous about but standing in front of the class, her palm suddenly became sweaty and her tongue went dry. This was her first day in the school after she almost lost her job and definitely, she was bound to get nervous. "These are just teenagers!" She alleviated herself before finding the courage to go in. "Good day class!" She greeted as she stood on the podium and almost all the 20 students dropped whatever they were doing to reply to her except one who pretended to be sleeping as soon as she entered the class. "Good Day ma and welcome to our grade." They chorused. Jessica took her time to introduce herself to them before allowing the students to introduce themselves one after the other until she got to the last student who was still resting his head on his desk. Jessica walked towards him and fondled his fluffy dark golden brown hair sl
A WEEK LATER Jessica stormed the 12th grader class in a Straight at the bodice, dark blue denim mini dress with a collared neckline, three-quarter length sleeve, and an a-line hem for added movement. Then she topped it up with sleek sneakers and a white round channel bag, her long caramel hair packed in a neat high bun. "Mr. Cade Westham. Get out of my class!" She affirmed as she dropped her laptop on the podium and connected it to the whiteboard projector. All through the week, she never allowed Cade to be in her class either willingly or not. "You can't just keep sending me out of the class just because I decided to skip it once. I paid for this and you can't deprive me of this privilege." Cade retorted as he stood up to his feet. "You paid for it, right? Report it to your parents or the school management. But until then, GET THE F-- GET OUT OF MY CLASS!" She yelled and Cade had no other choice than to stomp out of the class and head to the admin's office. Jessica continued h
"Oh welcome, Mr. Westham! How are you doing?" Mr. Logan, the school proprietor, greeted with a broad grin as he stood up from his seat and walked towards the couch arranged circularly just in front of his desk. "I'm very good and you?" Cruz asked, as he also walked in and had a handshake with the proprietor. Jessica was embarrassed by her reaction but thanks to the pleasantries the men were exchanging, she quickly returned to her seat, her eyes staring down at her sneakers. Mr. Logan offered Cruz and Cade a seat across Jessica while he sat on the singular couch relaxing on his desk. "Miss Vegas, we meet yet again," Cruz said but Jessica just sighed and looked sideways, her hands resting on the sides of the couch. "So, Miss Vegas, I hear you're having some problems with Cade here, can you tell us about that?" Mr. Logan requested, gesturing toward Jessica. Jessica immediately sat up and removed her hands from the couch, fixing her gaze on Mr. Logan, "I don't have any problem w
The crowd slowly dispersed as soon as the ambulance left with Cade and Cruz and soon, Jessica was alone sitting on the ground. "This is all my fault! I shouldn't have been so harsh!" She kept mumbling to herself as she bit her lower lip. She stared blankly at the ground forgetting that she was in the school area until a young lady in a red mini gown and a black ankle strap pump walked towards her and bent down to tap her shoulder, her long black hair sweeping Jessica's face briefly. Jessica panicked upon her touch as she was tugged back to reality. "Miss Vegas, are you alright?" Miss Willow asked as she helped her to her feet. "I-I...I'm fine." Jessica stuttered. "Is this your first time witnessing an accident?" She wondered but Jessica was too shocked to speak as she just kept staring into space. Mr. Willow is a Chemistry teacher for the 12th graders and she shares the same office with her so she helped her to their office and her desk. "What is wrong with her?" Miss Cale
Two other nurses pushed a new stretcher toward Cruz and he was immediately laid on it. They knew well that Cruz would never agree to stay out of the operation room even though he was already practically losing his mind so they had to take extreme measures. "Take him upstairs, and place a few securities there until we are done here." Mrs. Robertinstructed and the nurse did as instructed before she also entered the Operation room. Some nurses prepared the main VIP operation room on the third floor. Soon a few notable surgeons at the hospital surrounded the operation room and each taking turns to be the first and second surgery assistants for the operating surgeon. A few hours to midnight and Cruz woke up to find himself laying on a medium-sized hospital bed in the VIP ward. "Cade!" He called out as he jumped up from the bed and walked toward him Just when he attempted to open the door, Mrs. Robertpushed the door open first. "Where is Cade? Did you already perform the surgery?
"What is wrong with you now?" Leah asked worriedly as she hurried into the room and met Jessica holding the wooden chair beside the table for support. Jessica was lost in thought for a while. "What if something bad really happens to him? How will I ever be able to forgive myself?" She thought aloud, her head dropped down in guilt. "Jessica! You think too much! Westham Pharmaceutical is the best hospital in LA with great doctors like Cruz himself. Cade will be fine. The best you can do is pray for him." Leah advised, removing Jessica's hands from the table and holding them. Jessica slowly raised her head and her teary eyes met Leah's worried ones. Leah raised her hand and wiped off her tears, "Let's join, Tyler now or he will be worried. " She suggested, gesturing to the door and Jessica sluggishly dragged her feet out. Even though Jessica tried to take her mind off him for a moment, it was just so impossible, and immediately after she had noticed Tyler and Leah were done wi
Even though Cruz was laughing, his eyes and body language say otherwise and this scared the hell out of Jessica making her hesitate in grabbing his hands. "Come on!" He smiled, gesturing for her to grasp it. With much difficulty and hesitance, she slowly stretched out her right arm and as soon as her fingers caressed Cruz's open palm, he grabbed them and pulled her towards Cade's bed forcefully. "Yesterday, this was what you succeeded in doing. Now…" He paused to inhale deeply as a way of calming himself down. "...Cade has gone into a coma and now he will definitely fail his exams because he won't even be able to participate in it just like you prophesied. You must have seen this coming right?" He inquired, purposely intimidating her. "Mr. Westham, I…" Jessica dropped her head down as she couldn't utter a clear word because of the huge lump that had suddenly developed in her throat from trying to hold in her pain but Cruz only saw this as a pretense. With two of his fingers,
"What will you say to him?" Cruz asked as calmly as he could as soon as Jessica answered the call. "I-I…I will apologize to him, I will tell him other things I can probably do for him just give me a chance, please!" She pleaded. Silence ensued between them for a while before Cruz broke it. "Come to the hospital tomorrow after your classes but make sure you don't lose it and begin to say hurtful things to him aga…" "I understand Mr. Westham, I will definitely be there tomorrow!" She replied happily, interrupting Cruz. Before she could thank him for the offer, he ended the call just like the first time. "I'm doing this just to rid myself of this guilt cramped up in my heart, don't think I will ever forget the pain you caused me, Mr. Westham!" She mumbled to herself before going into the bathroom to wash up and change into her nighties. The next morning, Jessica left for the school in a peach-colored mini T-shirt dress with maroon sneakers and a round purse to match. She wa
