"Jessica, what do you mean by that?" Mrs. Westham asked, confused.

"What I'm trying to say in essence is that we've known each other for long enough that even if I'm not Cruz's wife, we can still relate to each other as a family because I consider you as my parents, not a parents-in-law. Aside from this bond, to prove to Cruz's baby mama that I'm not a gold digger so I don't need any form of alimony so I don’t think there is need for this meeting.” Jessica explained her point, surprising everyone, especially Cruz who quickly raised his dropped head in shock.

“It might take some time before sending the papers since I’m not mentally strong right now, but I will make sure to send it as soon as I can.” She concluded and stood up to her feet in an attempt to leave but Cruz wasn’t ready to let her go.
