Jessica’s smile immediately disappeared the moment she raised her head and met Cruz’s gaze. Cruz on the other hand was curious about the reason for her smile but he dare not ask.

Soon enough they arrived at the compound and just as the helicopter was about to land, several guards stood guard to welcome them.

Once the helicopter landed, Jessica avoided Cruz again as she quickly took the help of a guard to come down and immediately, she hurried into the main building with Cruz walking behind her with her luggage.

As soon as she got to the living room, she perceived the smell of burning food in the house which made her immediately run towards the kitchen to check what was burning.

Upon entering the kitchen she saw a lady cooking in the kitchen and because he had her back turned and wasn't wearing the uniform, she wasn't sure who it was until the lady turned around, thinking it was Cruz.
