Chapter 3

 ...Sofia....

"Keith, have you thought about it?" I asked her impatiently when she picked up the phone, this was my best friend of almost 6 years, I did not only want her to come for Saul's wedding but also to spend some time with her and her son since she barely said anything about him

I didn't even know how he looked cause she refused to send me any of his photos which was soo unfair has i was the child's godmother,

For the past four years since Saul and i left new York, I couldn't visit Keith because of how busy i was with my career, I had to travel for fashion shows most Of the time and barely had time to visit anyone.

After a long irritating pause she finally answered,

"Yes Sophie, I will be coming, just tell me when the wedding will be" she said making me sign in relief, finally I was going to see my best friend and Max, I couldnt just wait

"Its this weekend, I would suggest you start packing as soon as possible darling, I cant wait to see you two" I replied with excitement

"Okay i will book a ticket for this Thursday if that's okay" Thursday was two days from the wedding, she would reach here in a days time giving us time to prepare for the wedding the next day

"Yeah thats okay, I can't wait to see you, I love you" I said a smile never leaving my face, keith always had this effect on me

"Cant wait to see you and I love you too" Keith answered before the call disconnected, finally i could now relax,

I went back to Saul's office after the call with keith, he seemed to be busy with some paper work,

"Keith is coming"i annonced even though i knew he didn't like her much,

"Yeee,now can you leave my office and let me work, go to felix am sure he will give you something to do" he answered without even looking at me

"Okay, i think i will go to Dad's" I answered and pecked his cheek before leaving.

On my way to Dad's Mansion, I received a phone call from Brenda saying the bridesmaid where needed to try in the outfits, since I was the maid of honer,

I had to be there, I had always imagined my brother's wedding since i was a teen, I imagined him marrying the love of his life(though that was technically impossible)and i would be the happiest maid of honer

But Saul marrying Brenda was a total ruin of my position as the maid of honar.

My driver had dropped me at the boutique, I found Brenda, her daughter Ella who was just 19 years old with some other bridesmaid whom i didn't care much about.

We tried on the outfits and i was about to leave when Ella stopped me, I wondered what she wanted

"Can we talk?" she asked with pleading eyes, I forced a smile on my face

"Yeah sure, we can talk from my car" I said leading the way, I got at the backseat of the car with her and asked my driver to wait outside while we had a private conversation

"Well,,,I,,,I don't want Saul to marry my mother" she finally said making my eyes widen a bit

"Why?" I asked as if I already didnt know the reason

"The thing is am in love with him, I cant imagine him being my step father, I love him and he loves me too but he still wont cancel the wedding saying its very important he gets married to my mother for the seek of your company" she said,

I had never been more disgusted with my brother until now

"Ella do you know how old Saul is?" I asked her

"Yes, I know very well he is 10 years older than me but i don't care, I love him i don't want him to marry my mother, its me he loves not her and am sure he loves spending time with me more than with the old woman" so the little hoe was also proving to be love sick

Only if she had a clear view on who Saul was despite his handsome face and sweet talk

"Saul is going to marry your mother Ella, you better find another guy to fall for, i don't believe you wanted to talk to me about this nonsense, find a guy around your age to fuck your slutty ass and stay away from my brother you little fool" I missed unable to contain my anger

Her eyes widened, guess she was never expecting this from me.

"Now get out of my car" I said and watched has she left angrily.

I called my driver and ordered him to take me to my Dad's mansion.

"Did you talk to Saul?" my father asked while we were in his study at his mansion when i arrived.

"Yes, so what do you want to talk to him about, he didn't seem pleased to hear you wanted to talk to him" I said, I was also curious to learn what he wanted to tell Saul sibce I knew it involved Brenda.

"Its about Brenda she has the last condition for this marriage"

I breathed in fustration, I loved my brother enough not to want him to spend the rest of his life with a woman who could be his mother,

He Had also been against the wedding but father wanted him to win the election of the new CEO of the country's biggest company which would be in a few months

The company had been founded by my father and his best friend Smith Jones who had died mysterious a few years ago but Mr jone's three sons wanted to take over the company has they said it was the right thing to do, father refused to step down the position of CEO but since he was getting old, my brother had to take over, that's when we came back to Australia four years ago

The company had improved since my brother started running it but little did we know Mr Bones' sons where secretly buying shares from our shareholders,

By the time Saul realized this we only had a few shares in our name, the jones brothers proposed an election, the party with the upper shares would gain the position of the new CEO.

Dad was aggravated, he wanted the company to always be in our name so he looked for all ways to gain more shares before the election that included Brenda whose husband had left his shares in her name before he died

Brenda refused to sale her shares and only wanted to hand them to us if Saul would marry her, Saul had been against it but father left him with no choice so the marriage was arranged

"What is her condition?" I asked my father

"Well, she wants to make sure Saul never divorces her but if he does, she laid out a condition that they will have to divide everything equally and only her daughter is allowed to gain something out of the divorce"

In short, Brenda didn't want Saul to cheat on her, if he impregnated someone while still married to her, the child wouldn't get anything from him, not even his father's support

"That's madness Dad" did she expect him to never have a child?, after all, she was already passed  menopause.

"Yes but unfortunately, all this is already written in the contract file she brought earlier, so she is damn serious"

"But what if Saul impregnates someone, this is madness" I said unable to believe that old hag would pull something like this on her sleeve

"That is exactly the reason why he will marry her, he won't need all the women he fools round with anymore"

I wondered what Saul would think about all this,

Maybe i was just overreacting, as far as i was concerned, Saul never liked kids so maybe this wasn't much of a big deal.

Before i could answer my Dad, my phone began to ring, I excused myself and went upstairs to what used to be my formar bedroom, it was a private number on the screen of my phone, answering it, I asked 

"Who is it?"

"If it isn't the famous Sofia Madison" A man's voice said on the line

"Who are you??" I asked again unable to make out the his voice

"You will get to know me pretty soon" the man answered

"Okay, so what do you want?" I asked urger to know who the stranger was

"All i want is you Mis Madison, I have sent you a bouquet of flowers to your home address hope you find them lovely" before i could reply, the stranger disconnected the call,

I was left staring at the screen of my phone for a while,

Who was this stranger and how did he know my home address? I wondered and later on went down stairs to join my Dad.

That Evening, Saul came to the manison to speak to Dad, after a few minutes, he burst out of the study angrily and headed for the door, I followed after him

He told his driver to drive us home, I figured he was upset because of what Brenda had said about him not having any kids from anywhere else except her

"Imagine having a child with her, the child would literally think am the older brother, this is so unexceptedable"he bursted out on our way home, did he even think she could get pregnant at her age?

"Saul, I know you are angry about what Brenda is up to but on a serious note, whats up with you and her little brat!!"

"What do you mean?"he pulled up an innocent face which wouldn't work on me

"The girl confessed she doesn't want you to marry her mother Saul" I said  making him sign in deeply

"I don't know Sofia," he answered

I knew despite been the player boy he was, he still had a lot going on for him though he was acting fine, this wedding wasn't making him happy and I was worried about him..
