Chapter 5

....Sofia.... 

Days went by quickly and before I knew it, it was the night before Saul's wedding, Finally my brother was off the market, that was a relief.

Everything was set and fixed for the wedding, Saul was going for his bachelor party with his friends while I was attending  Brenda's with the other bridesmaids.

The only thing worrying me right now was Keith, she was supposed to arrive today but unfortunately she said the plane she was on had to make a sudden stop, l was worried sick about her, l hadnt even asked what the cause of the sudden stop was when her line went off, l felt helpless and only wished she was okay

"What's up, you look sad" Saul asked when he entered the kitchen fully dressed.

"Are you leaving already?" I asked him trying not to answer his question, Saul for some strong reason didn't like keith so there was really no need to tell him about what was going on though i was Still worried.

"Yes, am about to go but that doesn't answer my question" he said eyeing me as he made himself a cup of tea

"What question?" I asked innocently

"You Know I know you well enough to notice when you are upset, what's wrong?" He asked, l took a deep breath and blinked away the tears threatening to drop,

"Its Keith" l was expecting him to say he was no longer interested in hearing it but I was taken back by his concerned expression

"What's wrong with her, what happened?" He asked 

"The plane she was on made a sudden stop because of some problem, am worried about her, l don't even know where she is or what happened, what if the plane had a problem and it didn't land safely, she has a child for heavens sake,,,, and her phone is off" tears had already flooded my face as I thought of the possibilities of what could have happened to her,

Saul moved closer to me and kissed my forehead

"Why didn't you tell me?" He asked softly,

"I didn't think you would care" l honestly answered

"If its a minor issue, l wouldn't care Sofia but this is very delicate, Keith has never been here before, what if something happened" this was the first time i had seen Saul show some sort of concern regarding Keith,

"When was the last time you spoke to her?" He asked

"About two hours ago, she wasn't even sure where she was and the network was tripping, she couldn't even tell me what the problem was before her phone died" l answered, Saul nodded and thought for a few seconds.

"Give me her number" he said getting his phone from his pocket, l easily told him Keith's number since l knew it by heart, Saul wrote the number in his phone and called it, he was silent for sometime.

"Its still off" he said which made me even more worried

"I hope she is okay" l said In more of a whisper

"Hey, dont worry, I will make a call and go out but l promise you, Keith will be present at the wedding tomorrow morning" he assured me.

Saul left the kitchen without even drinking his tea leaving me alone to my thoughts, Before long, my phone started ringing, it was brenda calling

"Yes" l answered trying not to sound emotional

"Where are you?, the party has already began and you are the Only one late" she said sounding upset,

I didn't know what to do, keith was stuck somewhere i didn't know, l didn't think it would be right to go to the party without knowing where she was

But I remembered Saul's words and felt a little better, he assured me Keith would be present at the wedding and I trusted him.

....Saul....

After talking to Sofia, l went to my room and made a quick phone call to felix,

"Yes sir, what can l do for you?" 

"I need you to track the number l will send and find its direct location right now" l quickly Ordered

"Is it a business rival?" Despite me being the Boss, felix and i were pretty close on a personal level.

"No, its a woman, she has to attend my wedding tomorrow, find her location and prepare my private jet, wherever she is, she has to be at my wedding tomorrow" l explained as briefly as I could

"Yes sir" felix answered before i hang up, l immediately sent him Keith's number and laid on my bed for a while.

Its been so long since I last saw her, l shouldn't be worried about her, hell, l shouldn't even be thinking about her but l was, l suddenly couldn't even force myself to go to the party, l was waiting for felix to call me and tell me where she was, my mind wasn't going to rest until l knew she was fine,

I only hoped she was okay.

After a few minutes l went downstairs to pour myself a glass of wine to calm my nerves.

l was going to be a married man the next day, maybe the marriage would position me better in the business world but l was certain it wasnt going to be easy for me, the contract she has drafted which l was yet to sign wasn't making things any better

I knew l wouldnt be faithful, what if l made someone pregnant though l knew that was impossible cause of how careful I was, but l still couldn't get over the what 'if's' in my head

Besides, Brenda was past the age to give me a child, did she expect me never to have children?,.

I reached for my phone which had only biped once and answered it thinking it was felix informing me about keith and her son but I got disappointed hearing the voice on the line

"Hey sugar boy" I immediately regretted picking up the phone in the first place

"Ella, why are you calling?" I asked my voice indicating how irritated i was

"I miss you and l have a better solution to how we are going to get out of the situation with my mother" she said making me chuckle

"We?, sounds interesting now what solution do you have?" I asked with a grin, this girl was insane

"We could run away, right this minute, my mother doesn't even love you she only wants your money" she bursted out making me chuckle again at her shallowness

"Seems your mother and l have something in common then" l answered

"What?, Saul what...."

"Its Dad, never should you ever call me by my first name again" l said and hang up the call,

I honestly didn't have time for her bullshit, l speed dialed felix's line and he answered after a few seconds

"Sir" 

"Have you found her?" I asked

"Yes" l found myself breathing in relief

"Is she safe?"

"Yes" he answered, this time, l had a smile on my face

"Call Bruno and Neo, they must go and get her right this minute" l ordered

"Right away sir" he answered before l hang up...
