“What did you notice?” Russel asked.

“They're a bit distant to me. I didn't bother talking to them too.”

“How about Theo? What did he do?” Nakapukol sa akin ang mga mata niya. There's something building up inside me whenever he does this. Those dark eyes and serious face are telling me to listen to him carefully. They're persuasive enough to catch my full attention. Added to the fact that our topic is such a serious matter, it made us both tensed.

Tamad akong sumalampak sa couch, sa tabi niya at ipinaubaya sa sandalan ang likod ko. “Dikit nang dikit. I don't know if he's serious about courting me but... he even announced that to his comrades.”

Gumuhit na naman ang iritasyon sa mukha niya. “Two weeks, right? After two weeks, uuwi ka na rito. I can't wait for you to come back home and finally eliminate that jerk from my list.”

“Do you think he's serious?”

“I don't know. I can't tell that unless I check it using my very own eyes.
