Danielle’s POV:

I groan and will my body to move, only to find moving so much more difficult when you spent the last night heavily drunk. And with who I can’t even remember. Hell, I can’t even remember at all what had transpired last night and why am I in this room? Did I crawl my ass back to bed only this isn’t my bed. My bed is fuchsia in color and is covered with fur, yet why am I seeing cool gray and with a lot of red stains, I might add. Groaning, I force my body to sit up, rubbing my eyes.

Hangover’s a bitch, that much I could say.

“Good morning, mate.”

I jump and yelp, the shock of a deep, gravelly voice sending me back and I fall flat on my ass to the bloody carpeted floor.

What the—

I quickly snatch the duvet up when my eyes drop on my naked breasts. Turns out they’re not the only ones naked because so is my cutely shaved vajayjay. Getting up, I wince, my mouth shaping into a small ‘o’, realizing what I had done. What he had done.

“What are you doing here?!” I all but scream at the beautiful, Egyptian god laying in bed, equally naked. He’s in a position you would see a model in a magazine marketing a damn bed, his expression bored with his cheek resting on his palm. His one knee lifted in the air. My eyes darted to his eight-pack abs, making me all but swallow. Part of the duvet still covered his manliness. Phew. Thank the goddess for that.

My wolf huffs in disagreement, beckoning me to snatch the duvet off him to reveal his big-ass weapon he used on me last night.

His brow raise as he watches me, and there’s a mischievous look in his eyes I find cocky.

“Don’t worry. I’ve seen everything.” He smirks, making me gape at him in disbelief.

Everything? Okay. I take a deep breath, and look him dead in the eye.

“Do you have any idea who I am?” I huff.

“You’re Viktor’s daughter, correct?”

He didn’t even look surprised. His indifference is alarming as much as the way he’s staying calm in a dire situation like this. My mouth drops once again in disbelief.

I can’t believe I gave my virginity away to this idiot.

“Yes. Yes, I am. So if you’ll excuse me, my father might—” I pause mid-sentence. Now that I think of it, I may not have the audacity to show my face and if he scents out Kaden… god knows what he will do to me.

As much as he hates him, he’s not gonna kill me, is he?

I was in the verge of having a panic attack. My chest tightens and the world starts to spin around me.

“Looking for you?”

The sound of my phone vibrating makes me jolt in surprise and my eyes snap to Kaden. He’s holding up my phone in his hand with a sly smile on his annoying face.

Dad’s name pops up on the screen, and I quickly reach for it when he whisks it away from me.

“Kaden!” I growl, make another attempt to snatch it out of his grip when he lifts it higher, making it an impossible feat to steal it away from him.

My eyes widen in shock, however, when he presses the green button and speaker, then puts the phone in his ear.

“Where the hell are you? Your friend Dex came to me last night saying you disappeared. This is exactly why I don’t—”

“Hey, pops.” Kaden cuts him off and my father growls. It’s crazy how he could immediately recognize the voice of his biggest rival.

I purse my lips into a thin line, glaring at Kaden before panic and adrenaline pushes me to toss the duvet and jump on him to retrieve it.

Kaden chuckles and instead cups my bare ass with his large hand, positioning me directly against his naked cock. My milky breasts press against his chest, causing him to lick his lips as his eyes dart to my nipples hardening against his tanned skin. He wraps his free arm around my waist, and somehow it fully restricts my movements, stopping me from reaching further for the goddamn device.

“Kaden!” I hiss at him, mindful to keep the sound as low as possible.

“Where is my daughter,” my father snarls menacingly through the phone, I wince.

“She’s here. Safe and sound in my bed,”

I resist the urge to scream when those words made it out of his lips.

“If you so much as lay a finger on her, I will—”

“She’s my mate.” Kaden cuts him off. My father strangely falls into a dead, eerie silence. I wait for a sound to tell me what the hell is going through my father’s mind when it dawns on me. I am now as good as dead.

I glare at Kaden, who simply looks at me with a serious look in his eyes.

“You know what this means, Viktor.”

Those were his last words before he hung up on my father, leaving my mouth hanging open as I stare at him, dumbfounded.

I quickly regain my composure and manage to wiggle out of his grasp, standing on the edge of the bed. I point my finger at him, uncontrollable rage now flowing through my veins as I glare at the man who thinks he can shame me in this way.

If I’m his mate like he makes me out to be, then there’s only one right thing left to do.

“I, Danielle Sage, daughter and heir of Alpha Viktor Sage of the Heaven Moon Pack, reje—"
